Location was great being close to everything and the staff were accommodating and knowledgeable of facilities. If there were concerns there was always someone there to assist. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were nice and quiet and everything encouraged a very independent stay.

Check in was very simple as we booked ahead of time but upon arriving to our original room there was a very strong smell of urine in the air. It was so strong we requested a move to the only room that was available at the time which had one less bed than what we needed. We were thankful for the quick accommodation and were able to move in less than five minutes. Also the new room shower handle was broken (not so safe especially when traveling with children).

The element hotel is located right off the highway, and very close to Costco and many other restaurants and shops. Great for visitors traveling into Houston for events. The hotel was very clean and our room was very large.

The "free" breakfast was not very good, and by the time we arrived downstairs most of the food was gone. We waited for someone to come refilll the food but we needed to get on with our day,

No carpeting in the rooms which was great as my husband has allergies. Clean rooms.

The bedding was clean and comfortable. Pillows could have been fluffier. The comforters were sandwiched between a top sheet and flat sheet on the bottom. It would’ve been preferable for the comforters to be protected in a duvet. I doubt seriously that those comforters get washed very often, if at all. Also, as I went to pull the shades up, there was a protective metal covering at the top of the blinds that wasn’t screwed down and whenever I was opening the shades, the large and heavy piece fell on me. I was lucky that I jumped back otherwise it would’ve hit me in the head. Also, our room was smaller than it looked in the pics, and we paid $128 for a view we had was of the big air conditioner units.

Staff was helpful, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, loved the large showers.

There were no pool towels out at the pool so I asked the front desk for towels and she was able to accommodate us. The larger room only had 2 bath towels, so once again we asked the front desk and she helped us. Only 1 elevator was in operation during our stay, it would have been nice to have faster service up and down with both running. We wished breakfast was served a little longer, like to 10am.

The room was everything you could wish for. The price was incredibly reasonable. It's very close to a lot of restaurants in the area isn't sketchy at all.

My only complaint is that they don't tell you the hotel charges a $100 "non-refundable pet deposit" (i.e an additional fee - not a "deposit" at all and it was actually more than the room charge, which was odd.) My elderly dad has a small dog and because we were not aware we'd need to pay double the room cost just for his dog, they waived it for him and thank goodness. The staff was wonderful, I'm only complaining about the policy. Booking.com simply lists the hotel as pet friendly. And it IS pet friendly but it just might not be wallet friendly if that fee continues to be hidden in the fine print.

Location is really good, noise protection from neighboring rooms great, staff really nice, breakfast awesome!!

The sink in the bath was too high and not enough space to work around, towels requested were not delivered, I had to go downstairs to pick them up myself

Beautiful building, excellent location on a peaceful neighborhood. The building is tastefully decorated and has everything you need. Secure parking (which they don’t charge you extra like others do) and very clean. The room (Studio / King) was pretty spacious, had electric curtains and view to very nice pond. Will definitely be my “go to” option when in katy.

Cleanliness was sub par and is immediately noticeable throughout the lobby. We also asked for extra towels but never got any. Breakfast was awful. lack of choices and definitely low quality food.

I loved the room it was very spacious. I liked it had a full sized kitchen. The gym was great as well.

When I first got there several staff saw me when I arrived and it took a few minutes before I was helped. I asked for enough towels for 3 people and all I received was 2 small and 2 big towels! So I had to ask for more. The breakfast ran out fast, so I didn't get to enjoy it at 940am.
