La Hacienda Inn

Cozy and clean. Small and quaint. The sheets were comfy and loved the option of a ceiling fan (trust me, you miss it when you don't have one) Also, felt very safe despite the rough edges of the neighborhood. Ideally located just a quick drive to downtown San Antonio and the sights. Also local restaurants nearby. We went nearby to watch a play. Worth the price for convenience and comfort. Would stay here again. Easy check-in and check-out. Water pressure was okay, shampoo and body wash dispensers super convenient. Didn't use the towels, but they looked crisp and white. Carpet smell and felt vacuumed, bonus. Microwave and fridge available. Didn't use the coffee maker. Working AC. Perfect spot for family to rest and recharge. According to ride-share service, it was going to be about $9-$15 to get to downtown area or theater. Not bad considering. Our room was upstairs. And card entry to enter stairwell, felt pretty secure. Beautiful tile and decor. Also, while showering water had Ozarka taste. I don't know if that's a deal breaker for people?

Some might argue room is too small, but not a problem for us. I believe I read AC was noisy, can't complain. But if you're in need of consistent white noise, then maybe take a sound machine because it does turn off periodically. Vending machines were out of order, not a big deal for us but for sake of transparency of review. We will stay here again. We enjoyed and appreciated our stay. Definitely our top 5.

Small comfortable property with clean rooms and recent upgrades, i.e., muraled pull-down shades and tastefully decorated in furniture depicting Spanish style. Comfortable bed; good shower w/non-slip floor. Inn seemed to be located in "seedy" neighborhood but had good security. Owner/manager very helpful in providing information. Timely check-in. Good Wi Fi. Riverwalk and Alamo definitely within 15-minute walk. Covered parking very nice.

Air-conditioner cycled on and off throughout the night. Barking dogs throughout the night of some concern. Towels and wash cloths were old and need to be replaced. Light in coffee bar area would be a nice improvement. No lounge area. Wouldn't want to walk to the River Walk and other attractions after dark. No bars of soap provided but rather liquid soap dispensers were provided for washing hands, body and hair.

The hotel exceeded our expectations.

We liked that there was free parking and that we were able to walk to various destinations from the hotel such as the Riverwalk. As we ventured father to the missions and caves, it was nice to use our rental car. It's not the newest place, but clean and the hotel staff tried to be helpful whenever they could. The neighborhood looks to be improving with new businesses. If you're a rail fan this hotel is really close to the station.

Not a problem for us, but no elevator to the second floor.

Very nice looking room, nicely decorated. I liked that there was also a fan aside from the AC, which was adequate during the day. The bed was exceptionally comfortable because it was a soft bed and I like soft. The parking was covered also. The room also had all the amenities and the staff was friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone!

The only thing really was the chair at the desk which wasn't comfortable to sit in.

The room was extremely nice for the price, our room was clean, and the decor was incredible. The location was amazing for the value. Location is roughly 1.5 miles from the Alamo and river walk. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice and was very helpful with just giving us safety tips for the property to protect ourselves and other guests. The parking was excellent and there were security cameras.

We liked everything about the property. Only suggestion we had was maybe a nicer sign to show the quality of the hotel. It was nice on the outside of the building but if you just drove by and saw the sign it doesn’t make you think of a nice hotel.

The staff of the family run hotel were extra helpful especially by the usual USA standards. I arrived a day late due to flight delay. Without question, my one night was waived off! I asked for a taxi to be booked to the airport, the owner dropped me off to the airport personally. This is want hospitality means. I am glad I didn't stay in a fancy expensive downtown hotel!

The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. Free parking available on site which we always managed to obtain a space. Room was cleaned and fresh towels replaced daily.

Although it is a fairly easy walk into the centre of town near the River walk, the area where the property is situated does not feel particularly safe after dark. The AC although works well, it is very loud and may not be beneficial for light sleepers.

A extremely lovely place to stay quiet safe able to heat up food and make coffee tea. Would stay again. Able to leave luggage before I booked in and when I checked out no cost. Very clean and well maintained rooms. Has the ability to cater for disabled person. Plenty of room in bathroom straight in shower. Second bed for carer.

Is 20 minute walk from city center. But has a small shop just across road essential 1minute walk

The room itself was clean and comfortable as was the hotel The location was good although the area around the hotel seems a bit rundown That's said my friend and I walked from the hotel to downtown and then to some other craft breweries nearby and we never felt threatened or endangered The beds were super comfortable and although the hotel looks like it could use a touchup. everything was clean Wifi was great
