SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Antonio Downtown-Riverwalk Area

2 blocks away from the riverwalk, fit my family of six perfectly. The beds and pillows were great, the room stayed cold. I asked for extra linens and pillows, the male maid brought them up ASAP! The pool was nice and open late. They did let us check in an hour early.

However; at check-in, the lady was kinda straight forwards, did not want any extra side talk or bs. You do have to pay $22 a day for parking, limited parking onsite, you would have to park across the street and walk over. They do charge a large fee upon check-in in case you break or steal something. Being a room for a family of 6, you would think they would have more than 4 towels. They did not have any extra pillows or blankets in the room ( had to ask ) for more. One small trashcan, the maid does not come to your room during your stay you must ask or find the maid. Extremely loud neighbors were told to quiet down by staff, did not. The hallways smelt like straight-up marijuana. Good hotel, but not for $900 for 2 nights.

Clean, room size was great, great price and breakfast was complete....

I did not like the fact that I had to pay for parking even though it was at the hotel and not a separate garage. Also, parking was small and had to cross the Street to get to the second parking.... Another thing I definitely did not like was that while I was eating breakfast, next to me was a huge dog also sitting on a chair drooling all over the table. That made me get up and leave. Don't get me wrong, I have a dog of my own whom I absolutely love......but never would I sit him on the table, I understand they are pet friendly, but I would not allow them in the eating area......

Breakfast was at the upper end of the ordinary chain hotel breakfast -- scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, waffles, some fruit, oatmeal, some toppings. Not bad, not great.

Room climate very warm, couldn't get the temp down even in February unless I turned on the A/C. A persistent humming droning noise that was not the A/C which got louder during my 5-night stay. I finally informed management and it did abate a little. Not elevator noise either.

Located within an easy walk to the Riverwalk and the Alamo areas. Parking onsite. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was a little dated, but very clean and well supplied. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. The breakfast was the usual fare but hot and tasty. The hotel itself was very clean and quiet. We would stay here again.

The $22 per day parking fee feels high, considering that you're a guest of the hotel. Other parking nearby was a little less expensive. At least we were only charged for the two nights, not three calendar days like some places would charge.

The rooms are nice with a modern touch. Breakfast was good with eggs and meats, waffles, etc. Great place for walking to practically anywhere in downtown SA. The pool is small and gets crowded, but cute and intimate when fewer people or No one (very rare). My only complaint is could use better pillows!!

Need better pillows!

It was a short block away from the Riverwalk. The breakfast was real good and a huge perk. Breakfast was an array of bacon or sausage with eggs each morning, toast, bagels, pastries, waffles, oatmeal, fruit and several juice and milk choices (even lactose free milk) more than any free breakfast has offered at other places I have stayed. The room layout was perfect and very clean. I didn’t pay to park but they have the cheapest rates for parking in the area and another available lot for parking in case you can’t find a spot on the property.

The prepared citrus fruit was a nice touch. It was peeled and cut up and mixed. Loved that. The mounted shampoos and conditioner and body wash was so convenient. No hassle of where to put tiny bottles of toiletries. Also Loved the varying degrees in thickness of the pillows. I slept on the thin pillow then hugged on to the thicker ones for support.

Maybe it's just me but if the continental breakfast doesn't have cheese it's a no for me.

Everything all the front desk people were really helpful I ask to see if I can have a play pin for our 2 year old grandson and they took it wright away,my grandson didn't like the coloring pictures that they had at the front desk I ask the lady if she can print a different one and she did she said it was not a problem love it...

I liked how clean and nice the room was and how friendly the staff was.

Only thing I didn't really like was the breakfast offered, I kind of expected a bit more on that. But other than that I did enjoy my stay, I would've stayed an extra night but had to work the next day unfortunately

Breakfast was just average. The scrambled eggs were lukewarm, the hard boiled were still frozen and the waffle mix was too thick.

We were charged twice, while trying to clear that up we were never called back, with 4 calls out. Also there was remodeling being done in lobby or front desk and it was super loud on the phone.
