Best Western Plus Shamrock Inn & Suites

Page met us at the front desk when we arrived. She made the arrival very easy and we felt very welcome from the start. We had two pets with it and we got them into the room with no problem at all. Page was very willing to help us with the sanitary bags for a dog waste. Can't say enough about how she helped us when we arrive. One of the reasons we decided on this Best Western where the comments for the breakfast in the morning. The breakfast far away exceeded our expectations with the variety and the quality of the food offered. Having eggs to order for a hotel breakfast is way way above what you expect at hotels. Anybody traveling on I-40 who would be expecting to stay in this area of Texas should by all means stay at the Best Western Plus in Shamrock.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, staff restocked everything as needed. Staff maintained privacy when asked. Room was cleaned and fresh towels provided whenever needed. Pool was clean and kept at a decent temperature. Appreciated having laundry machines available for guest use.

Laundry facility was only on the second floor. A first-floor laundry would have been nice, but not a necessity.

Shamrock Inn & Suites is beautiful Inside and out, so quiet and comfortable. I didn’t hear people coming and going or even traffic noise! The made to order eggs in the morning were a nice touch!

Small lobby felt like everyone waiting could hear me giving information, one person sitting didn’t appear to be a guest which made it even more awkward. Minor issues in the bathroom - screeching fan and burnt out lights. Water pressure ok.

For a hotel off the interstate in a tiny town, this one is exceptionally nice. Updated for the most part, spotlessly clean, pleasant desk staff. Great bed! Tv worked well. Breakfast was typical except for the awesome lady in charge of it, who had made good burritos that morning, which were really appreciated. Pretty Western art in halls and public areas. GREAT value overall.

Not enough h/c parking near front entrance, which is actually on the side of the building.

The shower needed to be fixed. Only 1/2 of the water came from the shower head, and 1/2 ran from the bottom. Also, the water needed to be hotter. Summertime was probably OK, but I needed higher temperatures in winter. The bathtub was dirty: I think they need to wash it thoroughly. I saw a dark water line.

The breakfast was what was expected. the Staff was above expected ready and able to help. The coffee was above expected and the view was incredible.

We came back after traveling thru the week before. So nothing, we want to stay more than one night next trip by.

The location is great, I like that it’s not right off of I-40, but within close proximity. The room was clean, like actually able to smell fresh and clean linens and towels. Check in and out was fast and easy with always friendly management staff!

Great location for travelers.

When I arrived at the hotel, the evening the desk agent could not find my reservation and the room I had requested on the first floor with a walk in shower was no longer available. I had to pay for another room and when I arrived home I found out that I had paid for the room twice, once by the hotel and once by booking. I had the confirmation number of the booking when I arrived at the hotel but the desk agent didn't want to see it, I was only told that he could not find the reservation.

The breakfast was good. It's the people working there who made it a great stay. Everyone was kind, informative and offering their services and, when asked, advice.

The facility was good and comfortable. The workers were fantastic.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I appreciated having my eggs fixed especially lfor me by an excellent cook . Pool was nice.

The door key would not work. The air conditioner was not cool enough.
