We had an incredible experience at Under Canvas near the Grand Canyon. The remote location provided a sense of tranquility and safety. The breathtaking view offered amazing opportunities for stargazing. The tent's amenities exceeded expectations, giving us a hotel-like comfort. The staff's friendliness and assistance made our stay even more enjoyable. They went above and beyond, surprising us with a 'Just Married' decoration in our tent and a heartfelt card to celebrate our honeymoon. I wholeheartedly recommend Under Canvas for a memorable and unique getaway. Additionally, the common spaces at Under Canvas were truly charming. The fire pits provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow travelers, complete with free marshmallows and sticks for a delightful treat. The breakfast options were satisfying, and the organized evening activities, along with live music, added an extra layer of entertainment and enjoyment to our stay. It's evident that Under Canvas goes above and beyond to create a memorable and well-rounded experience for its guests.

Location is in the middle of nowhere however it is convenient to many of the National Parks. Facilities were rustic and beautifully appointed with quality furniture however the friendliness of the staff and the professionalism of the cleaning staff were exceptional. The view was wonderful and although there was not much open in March out here in the middle of nowhere it was a great stopping off place between National Parks. A small restaurant just up the street has the best pecan pie imaginable. Further up is another "resort" that serves great breakfasts (call in necessary) as well as a baked thin bread with dip that is outstanding. Only complaints are the bathrooms were small and the fan was very nosy. TV selection was limited but for the area this is the nicest place to stay!

Lack of a variety of restaurants in the area or other surrounding businesses stores, shops, entertainment etc. Small bathroom and limited TV selections.

Heated pools. Well-equipped gym with a view. Very cozy restaurant and delicious food! The chef is doing a great job. The beds were really nice and comfy! The bathroom is doable, not so modern but they still work well. The location. Far from the buzzling streets filled with visitors to Monument Valley. There is a lot more attractions other than Monument Valley and the hotel provides the guide. Coffee and tea availability all the time. They have a mini mart good for a quick meal.

Not that we didn't really like it. This is just a form of warning. The restaurant does not offer liquor for dinner -- but take that as a moment to enjoy your meal to the fullest. Also make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. Even non-hotel residents would love to eat at this lovely place!

Amazed by the quality of craftsmanship in the cabin we stayed at. This is not a three star hotel but rather five star. Such attention to detail- from the hardwood floors to the interior pine siding. The cotton linens were crisp and thick, with a very pretty cotton quilt. The coffee at the reception area was just perfect fresh and strong. Bluff area is just beautiful with pretty astounding views off the beaten path. We live in Moab and have not spend enough time in this area. We plan to return.

It is January and the are not any restaurants open to speak of. We did see a pretty good supply of frozen items to purchase but perhaps on weekends for this time of year until Duke reopens, on weekends for a couple hours a night, there could be the possibility of setting up a relationship with local person to set up a makeshift taco truck. Just an idea. The school that night had a similar arrangement where they were providing Navajo tacos but we unfortunately could not get in - the convenient store had pizza and it was fine but not what we would order typically.

Very friendly staff. Location adequate for where we were going. Room was comfortable and has a fridge with small freezer as well as a microwave. Great breakfast included.

We liked pretty much everything about the property. The town is tiny, though, with very limited options for eating out. Only one place is open on Tuesdays (the restaurant attached to the property) and due to a storm they had no power the Tuesday eve we were there!

Very convenient to Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods, Moki Dugway, Natural Bridges, etc. In addition there were EV charging stations onsite and many different room type options. The staff happily gave us a tour of the facility, showing us the many types of rooms they had and we chose the “family cottage”. Plenty of parking with our cottage having two dedicated spaces.

There was nothing we did not like: the staff was extremely friendly, the cottage we rented in our opinion, was “affordable luxury”.

Wonderful hotel in the middle of nowhere, nice room design, incredible interior of the hotel, great views around the hotel, from balcony and from pool area, pool itself was a bit cold, but SPA pool was nice, we had the best dinner in our whole journey in the restaurant

No breakfast offering, but there is a great place called Twin Rock Cafe 4min drive from hotel which they recommmend (and it is really good), not a lot around the hotel but this is what we expected

Wonderful place to be! It was super clean and friendly staff. You can tell time was taken to ensure proper lighting and decor to make the space feel warm and inviting. I loved our room!

No breakfast option, no dinner available at Dukes Sat or Sun on Memorial Day weekend. Bluff has limited food options available and for affordable luxury....food is a must. I was disappointed to not even be notified beforehand. Our booking was a week before our stay.

We visited Monument Valley and needed to stay 1 night in a nearby hotel. We are a group of 2 adults and 2 teenagers so required 2 rooms, 1 with twin beds inclose proximity to the Valley. Having looked online, the Desert Rose met our accommodation requirements. The hotel is around 45 minute drive from Monument Valley in a quiet town called Bluff. I booked a King room plus a Queen room with 2 double beds. The hotel is newly constructed and the rooms were beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable with large bathrooms and showers. The rooms also had a balcony with seating. The rooms were a higher standard than I would have expected from a hotel in this area, which I am guessing caters for passing tourism with swift turnover. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel. There is also a great restaurant called Twin Rocks Cafe a mile up the road from the hotel that serves good food and is worth a visit.

I wish we could have stayed longer as we didn't get the chance to use the hotel facilities, that include a large pool, fitness room.

We had a room with double queen beds. a desk & chair, and a lounge chair. the room was spacious. we had a small refrigerator with a freezer section. There was a coffee machine with condiments. the bathroom was also a good size. the staff was all very nice and helpful. There is very nice outdoor seating with Mountain Views outside and behind the pool area.

I don’t enjoy indoor pools so we did not use this area. while the rooms had Mountain Views it was over the parking lot. There was not a microwave in the room which would prevent us from being our dinner.
