The Atomic Blue Motor-Inn

Room was small but had everything we needed and it was clean and comfortable. Bathroom vanity was updated with very nice fixtures. I called this place a sweet little room for a sweet little price. I found a grocery store and gas station just down the street. Bought some things for breakfast and filled our tank so we were ready to go in the morning. Even though this motel faces the main street through town, the room was surprisingly quiet! I would recommend this cute little motel for sure.

Not the fault of the motel but there are no early morning breakfast spots in town. One cafe opens at 8 am but we are usually on the road before that. No biggie, though. The grocery store had what I needed. Even found some salads there for our dinner!

The decor was very kitschy and spot on for the era they were reflecting. The bed was comfortable and the room had plenty of space. The staff were very friendly and pointed out some places to go and sights to see.

It wasn’t really a big issue for us but some of the rooms are right on the main road through town so you could hear the trucks as they came through. We had the fan on and it drowned out the noise but if you’re sensitive to that, you may want to request a side or back room instead.

Great location just off the main road, easy to find with comfortable rooms. Checked in with friendly staff, room was a great size and the TV had cable which was a nice bonus! We were situated next to the main road and slept great - it got pretty quiet after 20.00 and the bed was really comfortable. Room was clean and the shower was hot. A great stay at a great price.

Communication via text was great, although a little confusing at times due to unclear punctuation. We checked out early as discussed with reception at check in (early check outs leave the key in a clearly marked box which was great), although I was contacted later in the day asking what time we were checking out which caused confusion for us. All resolved, so no issues - clearer communication would have made this easier.

Stayed at the Atomic one night, as Monticello it's a great base to head to the Needles section of the Canyonland (and other parks in the region). The room was small but perfectly adequate, with a coffee machine, microwave, A/C and fridge. Good bathroom and water flow. Particularly appreciated the presence of a small table that allowed us to eat dinner in a more stable place than the bed. The room was rather clean and didn't look too old. This is a motor hotel, so you are not too far from the road, and the noise, but that is to be expected and not a fault of this place in particular. Overall great, I would absolutely get back next time I visit the area.

Very individual with many personal touches. After 4 weeks of overnighting in mainly national chain motels, Atomic Blue was a delightful change of ambience. It is every bit charming and suited to the community. Best of all reception staff made me feel more as though I were house-guesting with a friend than staying at a motel. What a talent for offering a personal touch!

I didn't like the idea of leaving. Sad to leave this homey atmosphere! For those who may require a very dark room, it may be a challenge as it's hard to keep light out of the room at night. Perhaps outdoor lighting is the price of security measures.

The room was very clean. It was obviously an old building, but has been remodeled. We were satisfied with the room, especially with how clean it was and will probably stay there again when passing through, but wouldn't stay more than a night. The bed was comfortable.

The chairs were not comfortable, but it wasn't a problem because we weren't there a long time. After traveling, it's nice to be able to relax in a comfortable chair in a hotel. Also the pillows were very hard. I brought my own pillow so it wasn't a problem for me. The price seemed a little high.

The property is very clean and well kept. We were amazed how quiet it is. Location was centrally located to the area’s we wanted to explore. The staff was incredible.

The owner who was at the front desk was extremely helpful, and friendly. Very personal and very professional. The rooms were very clean and the price was right. The prices in that area are very high but I felt we got a bargain. Would gladly stay there again.

Everything was fine. I appreciate the positives, if things are fine they are fine. Why nitpick. Life isn't perfect.

We loved the cute retro decor. The room was cozy and comfy and the location was good for us. It was good for a road trip motel.

Two minor things: 1. We could hear the highway quite a bit 2. Since we were sharing the room with our toddler, the bedside lamp that activates by being tapped was a pain in the butt at night. We accidentally turned it on about 3-4 times even when being super careful, and each time our kid almost woke up due to the light.

This cute motor-inn in Monticello was neat and clean. The 1950's retro decor in the room was fun. Our room had 2 queen beds, TV, a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. WIFI was good. We enjoyed meeting the friendly and helpful receptionist who had some restaurant suggestions. Like the name implies, you park your vehicle in front of your porch by your door, which is very convenient.
