Cougar Ridge

This place is just amazing, not only the house but overall place. The staff is friendly, helpful, and communicative. This is a ranch with animals that kids (and adults) can visit and pet. Owners were so kind that they introduced us to baby goats, explained how to behave around them, and let us go into the fenced area. At the reception area, they have an engaging souvenir store and breakfast area where everyone can find something for themself (super happy for gluten-free options). Everywhere can be sensed amazing feeling for interior and landscape design - everything is done with perfection and attention to detail. We all loved the pool area - they have several saunas, a unique outdoor pool with (heated/cooled) resting pavilions, a jacuzzi, a grill with tables, and a fire pit area. It was made very thoughtful. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The location was just perfect for proximity to Capitol Reef National Park—just about 10 minutes away. The ranch had horses, goats, a donkey, llamas, and one of the coolest dogs I’ve ever met. My kids were just crazy about all the animals. We stayed in a villa, and from the moment we walked in, we were overwhelmed with its charm and size and view of the farm and mountains. We only planned to stay one night before driving back to Salt Lake City, but we loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay an extra night about five minutes after arriving!

Great stay at Cougar Ridge. Wonderful Casita with everything you need to feel at home. A welcome change from the hotels that we stayed in leading up to here. Very convenient for Capital Reef. Staff were great and took the time to let our girls feed the animals and spend time in the ranch. Highly recommend.

Breakfast logistics could have been better communicated. They have a kitchen that you can grab things from to eat in your casita. Also works well, once you figure it out!!

Really impressed with the quality of the villas. My expectations for this resort were high and they exceeded all of them. I felt the highest level of service that I receive at most five star resorts. With also the attention to the personal touch and the amazing landscape of the surrounding Capitol reef area.

I think improvements to the Wi-Fi. However being disconnected was an amazing aspect of our stay and we still had all of our entertainment options in amenities at our disposal. I’m excited to see the improvements coming over the next few years including the restaurant the pool and other amenities.

Absolutely great place to stay! It's based on the farm so you can stroll around and communicate with wonderful friendly goats, lamas, horses etc. The suits are super new, clean and equipped with everything necessary. Great kitchenette, very nice view. The breakfast was also very good, special thanks for wonderful coffee machine. Overall, a great place!

Very nice property and very clean but too expensive. The breakfast was help yourself to cold and microwave foods. There was no tv service except streaming.

For this price there should have been a better breakfast and full service tv.

Our casita was very well-appointed and comfortable (with a very comfortable bed). The kitchenette had a microwave, refrigerator and hot plate plus pots/pans and utensils - well-stocked. We enjoyed the experience of grilling on a Traeger Grill. The laundry facility was available for guests which was a nice amenity. The property was a working ranch and had amazing views of the surrounding mountains. The hostess was very hospitable and available when we had questions.

We wished there was a smaller casita available (with a lower nightly rate) bc we were a party of 2 plus our dog and the casitas sleep 6 - we did not even enter the second bedroom. Also, the daily pet charge was steep, especially since our dog is hypoallergenic and non-shedding.

The breakfast was good. For a Continental breakfast, they had quish that was homemade, healthy cereals, breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, yummy banna bread ,plenty of drink options and more.

There was nothing I did not like. They rhink of every detail.

it’s a large property with beautiful surroundings, very peaceful, loved the animals on the farm, the staff were very friendly, great food/ snack selection in the common area/kitchen, room was very large, very nice modern bathroom, the town of Torrey had great restaurants and surrounding area had great hikes.

Everything was clean, comfy, upscale. Loved coffee in our rooms being Keurig. Little patio was perfect for evening relaxing.

Getting to reception was a bit confusing but well worth it
