This is an older hotel, more like a motel. I was familiar with it as I lived in town for many years so my expectations were realistic. I wasn’t pleased with the location of my first room and the clerk gladly changed my room to the second floor near the pools. The two indoor salt water pools and hot tub were the highlight of my stay. I was able to enjoy them with my grandson and his partner but because it’s not actually under the auspices of the hotel, I had to pay $20 for additional guest. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There is a refrigerator and decent TV. A balcony on the second overlooked the property. I recommend asking for a second floor room, near the pool as that’s towards the rear of the property and a better location.

I went for coffee and light breakfast at 8:30 and the office door was locked. There was a phone number to call and the owner who lives on site came right over and was apologetic. Apparently the morning staff didn’t show. I had to wait for the large coffee pot to brew, although there’s a little coffee maker in the room. Not tragic, just annoying. Breakfast was minimal; buy some food at the grocery store across the street if you’d like more than toast and over ripe bananas in the morning.

Settled a little over a mile away from downtown Brattleboro, the Colonial is perfectly accessible if you have a car. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was attentive. The pools are heavenly.

When I arrived in my room, the smoke detector was chirping and saying “low battery.” I called the front desk and the receptionist said he would take care of it. An hour or so later as I was heading out for an evening on the town, I stopped by the front desk to ask again. He reassured me he would take care of me, and when I returned a bit later, it was fixed.

Great pools and hot tub, comfortable room. Sabrina in reception was incredibly helpful and kind!

my first room smelled like cigarette smoke but they changed me to a nicer room immediately when I asked!

Rooms were big, refrigerators were huge the pool was huge. People were very friendly, continental breakfast you are not told that you're able to go and sit down and work states you're not allowed. It is dog friendly and I love my dogs

The fact that my daughters myself and my husband had to show our covid shots that we received them. Covid is over there's no need for that so my girls couldn't go swimming because it's not like I carry something like that around

Very large, well maintained room for the price. The bed was very comfortable. This is one of the few hotels in Vermont with an indoor pool. That the pool is large enough to swim laps is a bonus.

Learning that evening pool hours were being curtailed. Breakfast is supposed to run to 9:30, but there is often nothing left by 8 AM. Most of the channels on the cable system are blocked. The "call Xfinity now to access this channel" messages were annoying. The unsecured WiFi made streaming access and connecting to some websites I needed to access during my stay difficult.

The pool is very good, the staff and reception very friendly, the room was reasonably clean, the breakfast was okay and the pool was nice.

We found a cigarette butt on the carpet, which indicates they could vaccum better. One area of the motel seems to be for permanent or long term occupant. The people all hand outside of their rooms with the doors open and from all of their belongings it is clear they are not there for the weekend. We saw a group of people working on a car. Then one rude man told me that they have reserved parking in that side of the building, but the manager told me that I can park anyplace. However, I moved my car anyway to prevent damages to my car.

The room was large, had a useful table with two chairs, comfy reading chair, dresser, and large bathroom with full tub. Most important, there was no harsh antimicrobial chemical smell to the linens. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were not allergenic (I am allergic to feathers), so the comfort level for me with my allergies and chemical sensitivities was superb.

Room was comfortable and clean. Property was okay. Breakfast was not at all appetizing…definitely could use some touch up.

Clean up the area where outdoor pool was…very messy. Lap pool area could use some sprucing up too. Gym was pretty nice!

Everything was great for the price. Check out the Indian Restaurant next door. Excellent food. Location was also a plus. Near a Dollar Store, across the street from a large supermarket and not far from other convenient restaurants.

Breakfast could be improved, but honestly, for the money, I can't complain.
