Hampton Inn Petersburg - Southpark Mall

It was a good location and easily accessible to eating venues, shopping, and the places that I had to visit. It is set off the main road so it was easy getting in and out of the parking lot. The staff was AWESOME! Every single staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. Because rooms are serviced every other day (as most hotels are doing now) I needed some towels. Within 5 minutes, someone was at the door smiling with everything I requested. They were able to assist me with faxing some important documents, which they did not have to do. The kind of hospitality I received is why I would stay here again.

The room was fine, but it definitely needs some upgrades. The caulking around the tub was noticeably brown, instead of white and when I turned the shower on the faucet was loose and felt like it might fall off. The carpet was dingy and needed to be replaced. These were minor things, but the staff was so excellent that I still rated my stay as a 9.

I liked the location of the room and layout, very cozy and simple. All amenities worked properly and were in good, clean conditions. Staff was very helpful, patient, and kind when dealing with everything between booking to when I left.

No towel rack by the sink, hadn’t realized this before washing my hands but was able to use the shower handle towel.

Sheldon at the front desk was very helpful and took care of my needs. When I noticed I had been charged more than quoted...he made sure to correct my bill on the spot. I needed to use the business center to print something but the business center was closed. Sheldon was able to print my document for me. While the front desk staff was friendly Sheldon stood out mostly because he was very friendly and even remembered my name.

More pillows...but thats just me....4 was good...but six would have been great! Im just a person who likes a lot of pillows so this is my personal preference. Was not really impressed by the breakfast but it was good enough to get you through.

The front desk help was professional and helpful. She greeted me with smiles and help, even recommending a pizza place DANTES for dinner!

Erica at the front desk was exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Breakfast was pretty good as well. I was not expecting great service for such a low price. Will be back in the future.

The sauna and pool didn't have adequate chlorine. The water smelled stagnant. For safety, it should be well chlorinated.

location was perfect for my event. right off of the highway and easy to find

nothing really….coffee was a little weak. not able to take cash for my payment. that was a little inconvenient.

The entire staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. Kayla was exceptional and would repeat our stay

The young lady that checked us in was awesome, very hospitable, personable and over all pleasant. She made sure we were taken care of especially making sure both rooms we booked close. Location of the hotel is awesome. Close to everything from food to department stores. Everything in one place.

Property was nice even under construction.

The pool room is hot but once you jumó in the water feels great.
