Exceptional location. Old but clean and comfortable room in an historic inn. Had 15, the Pond Room. Amazing Tiny Trail to take around back. Sunny and the other staff were so helpful and friendly. This place has character. They even had a small flashlight and nightlight in the room. Three of us were comfortable. Stayed in May, would come back other seasons in a heartbeat. Great location to Mt. Rainier and other trails. Restaurants nearby

It would have been nice if their dining room was open again, but the Copper Creek is close for meals as well as a very pricey but tasty Ukrainian restaurant and others.

Our stay was superior especially in the customer service area thanks to Summer. I am handicapped and Summer brought me my check info and everyday she was there helping with something and greeting us with smiles. She went out of her way to help and to make sure everything was ok. We got breakfast every morning and it was delivered in a basket to our room!!! It was so peaceful and relaxing and just down the street were some of the best resturants we have ever had eatem at. Because of Summer I would go back again and again.

There was staff that wasn't as nice or helpful as Summer and they were rude when talkig to me. Summer should be completly in charge.

The stay at the Lodge was quite comfortable - while the rooms are small, owing to the heritage building, its setup in a comfortable manner with AC during summers and heater in the room. Please do note that the bathroom is quite small which might be a challenge to people who are larger. The service from the staff was very polite, courteous and took care of all our needs - a special mention of Summer, who made our kids comfy too.

Room and the bath are quite cramped owing to the heritage building. The stairs for the queen bed rooms are quite steep which isnt great news for people with bad knees or with heavy luggage

Alexander Lodge is approximately 1.3 miles from the Nisqually Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. The grounds are picturesque. It's such a gorgeous old building, built in 1912, its like a trip back in time. We spent Valentines here, in room #9, and it was so cozy and romantic. The next time I would love to stay in the beautiful tower room. The staff there were so helpful and friendly as well.

I wish the restaurant was still open. It's unfortunate because I heard they had some of the best pies.

This 1912 lodge has ambiance not encountered in newer buildings, but also making accessibility for guests with certain needs somewhat difficult (the building is historical). Our room was more than adequate in size. The lodge location is superb, very close to the Nisqually Soutwest entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. A neat feature of the Alexander's Lodge is that the property has its own forest path, which is actually a nice example of rainforest with mystical moss overgrown trees, bolders and logs. Lodge checkin was not in person due to Covid-related policies, but was very efficient and effective.

Due to Covid-related lodge policies, staff was not very visible and the breakfast offering was a basket with simple prepackaged items placed outside the room door, adequate but not great. The personal service coming with a sitdown breakfast was lacking. Hopefully this will change soon. Whenever we interacted with Lodge staff, they were very friendly and very helpful though.

The room was perfect, the bed very comfortable, and the location was majestic. The snow was an added bonus. Our dog had the best time and we all enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Special shout out to the staff for making our trip extra special.

Honestly, we truly enjoyed our stay and will come again. However, the breakfast choices were not as good as they could have been. We understand that given this time during COVID it is hard to serve a proper breakfast but we would have preferred actual fruit instead of a fruit gelatin peach cup. Also real orange juice would have been better than Sunny D. Keeping in mind all of those things we will still travel to this lodge again.

Staff was great. Summer was a kindred spirit. Both born in NY. Brookyn/Bronx. Was excited to hear that one guest proposed by the pond. Sorry I missed it. This was my second visit. First with grandson, second with hubby. Drive to Mt Rainer and Paridise was beautiful.

Sorry restuarants was closed. Could have had a larger variety of breadfast choices. Smaller rooms have no place to put clothes, does not provide enough hangers to hang clothes. Could also put in shelving in closet and a small table in bathroom. I used the table from outside to put my meds and toiletries on. Living out of suitcase for 3 days is not fun and no place to secure other items.

The room was beautiful and the grounds were wonderful. We loved the pond and the tiny hike. The manager was awesome and the rooms were pristine. We liked the history of the place as well. We loved everything.

The breakfast basket could have been better, but we did not expect one anyway, so it wasn't a big deal.

I video chatted with my son while he was there. They said it was comfortable and they love being at the lodge. They were disappointed in NOT staying in The Pond suite/ room however

I reserved The Pond Suite/ room for my son and daughter in law to have a mini honeymoon. They looked up the room on the website and were excited to be able to wake up with the beautiful pond and waterfall as a view. When they arrived they were placed in the Clara room. It's frustrating to intentionally pick a room for a special purpose then have the room changed. I spoke to the staff, Jim on several occasions and they were super amazing and helpful. They also provided cute little bear shot glasses for the newlyweds.

It is in a great location, very quiet, there is a restaurant right across. This is extremely convenient to say the least. The rooms were pretty clean.

This is nitpicking as the pros far outweighs the cons. This is an old building, so don't expect fancy stuff. The rooms are quiet small. I do wish the dish worked, twiddled around for 20 mins with 3 remotes and couldnt figure out it out. The internet is not very strong. Like i said for the area and location this is all nitpicking as my need was a place to sleep in a clean room in a very convenient location. The rest was all secondary.
