The staff was extraordinary!!! Everyone was helpful and just plain terrific, from beginning to end! After a day or two I got used to my room, and then it was OK. I really liked the fact that the hotel was built the way it was! Keeping things green with a renewable resource like that is great. The view from my room was grand, and although the lights went out almost every day, when I called someone would come up within about 3 minutes and flip the circuit breaker back on. I'm sure it's being fixed now, even if it hasn't already been.
It's not the size of the room that I didn't like, but it was missing a place to hang clothes, especially long dresses and pants; even pegs on one of the empty walls would have been OK. Also, there was only one drawer -- I didn't take kindly to the idea of putting stuff in the safe! I had to leave my stuff strewn about, which I really didn't like.

The hotel is clean, nicely decorated in its own unique style. Room is modern (lights, temperature, curtains are controlled by an iPad in the room or your own phone/iPad using an app) and, though small, has everything you need: desk, vanity, bed.
When you have a little too much luggage, you can't wait for the bellhops to jump out at you and take your luggage from you. That does NOT happen here. I did not notice any bellhops. I had to drag my luggage in. I was greeted by a series of computer screens to process my checkin with the help of a human (called an Ambassador). Also, there is NO room service so if you are in a hurry for food, you have to eat at the hotel restaurant which has a limited selection.

The rooms were smart rooms, i thought was really cool. Everything was controlled by an ipad. The vibe of the lobby and bars were really coold too. Centrally located, we pretty much walked everywhere.
Rooms are TINY. The bed takes up half the room and it's positioned against the wall so you have yo step over each other if you need the restroom. There's about 10 feet of available walking space, the bathroom is small and frosted glass so the person in the bed can see you shower. The sink is outside of the bathroom and tiny. There wasnt really enough space to change. Perhaps this was fine for a couple but for two friends it was awkward.

Very techy-urbany hotel. You can customize the AC, lights, and the curtains all on the ipad provided to you in the room. You can also connect your iphone to the TV through apply play with ease! Location of the hotel is super convenient, especially if you are looking to do all the touristy stuff in seattle. 8 min walk to the Space Needle & a 8-12 min drive to the Water front & Pike Market Place. Lots of restaurants & coffee shops are walking distance. Check in in was super easy and the staff was very helpful and kind. They also provide free luggage storage. Breakfast is great as well and comes with a variety of options. All in all i would definitely stay again.
Rooms were a tad bit small, however nothing too bad.

The bed and the pillows were so comfortable. I had a very good sleep. The location is closed to everything that I need. The self check-in process was smooth, and I managed to do it by myself. Love the way we can control the ambience lights and tv from the mini ipad. Hahaha... I keep changing the lights' colour to suit my mood. Staffs were helpful too.
No information provided on where we can get drinking water. I ended up drinking from the tap on the first day. The second day I saw a man took the filtered water at the canteen but guests had to bring our own bottles. This was also not informed. Of course we can ask the staffs. Drinking water is a basic amenity, which should have been mentioned somewhere in the first place.

The functional, utilitarian rooms are also cozy and the beds were very comfortable. We also liked the inviting main lobby area where you can sit and chat over a drink. It reminded us of sleek European hotels where you don't use your room for more than sleeping and showering.
The room lighting was a bit difficult to understand. It was either all or nothing. So we couldn't have a night light if we needed to get up through the night. Would also appreciate body moisturizer and a shower cap like other hotels offer. Only soap is provided. The staff were mostly helpful, but one member gave us multiple looks without answering our requests for help at breakfast. It's not the cheapest buffet, but it's nice - so worth it even if we didn't get what we needed (like napkins and hot water).

I was delighted by the modern, simple, fun and engaging design and decor of my room. Very clean and smart design too. I especially liked the open lobby and modern yet art deco decor - books, good but not bright lighting, fun objects from the past with a splash of current day. I loved the open seating that allowed for casual but intimate places to sit alone or with friends/family that dropped by during my stay. I created a good space for my son and his girlfriend who live near by to come visit me. The convenience of the bar, coffee and food to complement hanging out in the space was perfect. The technology to check in and check out was smart and I appreciated a staff person help me understand what I needed to do. I will be back.
There was no parking but I was told I could park over night in the Whole Foods parking lot which I did. I got a ticket but the ticket was cleared when I drove out. Some confusion as to why. This experience could be improved.

It was a fun place to stay, with a cute compact room which was comfortable and sufficient for one. New to me was the concept of self check in/out, or needing to control lights and tv through the room tablet mounted to a desk. I enjoyed the bar surrounded by eclectic furnishings/art with large compartmented seating areas for guests. I would definitely stay again though the location is based more in the business district so not so convenient for walking if you want to check out the usual tourist, downtown shopping, Capital Hill, etc., but easily accessible by taking a Lyft.

It's a hotel that focuses on the tech savvy. Its checkin and checkout are made almost entirely through digital interfaces, and everything in the room is controlled through the app. The good thing is that it works pretty well. But maybe you miss the human touch...Other strong points are location, the lounge and breakfast.
As I travelled by myself, the room size was not a problem, but I think it would have been if there were two of us. The room is very well thought of, but anyway there is not much space for two people.

Style and comfort were great. My 12yr old daughter loves your hotels, and controlling everything with the iPad. All staff we encountered were friendly and professional. Oh, and I'm so glad we signed up for breakfast!
Couldn't figure out how (or if it was possible) to adjust water pressure or spray from the main shower head, so only used the hand held one. The bathroom garbage wasn't emptied when we checked in, so previous guests trash was in there. And daughter bummed there weren't LED lights in the shower, like the hotel she stayed at in DC, haha
