* Clean, comfortable, staff is friendly, very near downtown/waterfront. * This property is my favorite for Vancouver/Portland, near I-5. Location, location, location! * Ice machines always work. * Snack & drink machines usually well stocked and in good working order, card or cash accepted. Floors 2, 3, 4 all have different selections, so I check them all before deciding. * A Black Angus Steakhouse is in the parking lot! Happy Hour 3p-6p, food & drink specials. * No transients. Walked downtown, waterfront, The Fort, and to Beaches Restaurant, didn't see any, felt safe 💯 * This hotel is my go-to since my daughter started school at WSUV in 2017. I got her enrolled, found her an apartment, bought everything she needed, DMV, Registrar of Voters ALL from this hotel.

This property is in need of a remodel/update.

My favorite feature of the room is the ability to control the temperature myself. The thermostat is accessible and easy to use, the AC/heat comes right on. It's a beautiful thing not to have to call the front desk for climate control in my room. The beds are very comfortable, number and comfort of pillows is perfect for me at 4, 2 more fluffy and 2 more firm. Some properties turn the refrigerator off when guests check out, but forget to turn it back on when the room is rented again. At Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Vancouver, the fridge is always cold when I get into my room. I never hear the freeway (I-5 is "right there"), the noise from downtown, the waterfront, or the trains. Breakfast is from 6-9 on weekdays, 7-10 on weekends, hot breakfast meats, eggs, waffles you make fresh.

There were homeless people hanging around the west entrance, which I told staff about, because I was uncomfortable about them being there. Staff allowed them to use the restrooms, eat the leftover breakfast after guests were locked out of the breakfast area, and one man was sleeping on a chair with an ottoman in a lobby area off the rear parking lot. I'm not against showing compassion, but I did wonder if any of this was sanctioned by Comfort Inn & Suites Corporate. Like, maybe there's another way to show compassion.

A bit noisy but you can't fault the hotel for the clients. I liked the exercise room was open 24/7 and there was hot coffee available in the lobby at all hours of the day. The breakfast buffet was better than I expected; very good for a business guy on travel. Overall VERY NICE and I would stay there again if I have business in the area.

It didn't seem like the housekeeping services was very consistent. Some days they did really well; others, not so much.

The staff are always polite and friendly. I stay there several times a year, and they remember me by sight, if not by name, and greet me warmly. They know the rooms I like and are thoughtful to make sure I get one of them. Their breakfast is delicious, generous, serve yourself. There's always hot water, coffee, and tea in the lobby, so I can grab something on my way in or out.

I wanted to pay for my room with cash during my stay there December 2022, but I was told I would have to pay an extra $200, if I didn't use my card. 😡 Needless to say, I used my card.

The breakfast was good. The employees in the breakfast room worked very hard and kept it very clean and kept the food and coffee from running out. I am not sure why I couldn’t find any salt and pepper to put on my eggs, though. That was the only negative I can think of. The coffee was very good and I liked the little caramel creamer packets they had one day we were there.

Salt and pepper in the breakfast room would have been appreciated.

The hotel was conveniently located near downtown and other amenities. The room was nicely appointed, and the breakfast was pretty good. We asked for a room close to the elevator and they happily accommodated us. The lower rate had me questioning the quality of the room, but it was actually very nice, and I would definitely stay there again.

Everything was really pretty nice. It's just a little older and not right on the river.

This property was new and fresh. As a result, it felt and was clean. The breakfast was excellent and held our stomachs well as we then moved on to some day hikes Mt. St. Helens.

Homelessness is a struggle for all communities, and I want to express my compassion for and desire to find ways to meet need and help them. However, breakfast was odd because it was obvious the hotel staff was allowing many of them to sneak in and take much food on two or three plates and hold doors open for the next person to come in. This made us uncomfortable in terms of overall security.

We were surprised at how many options there were, with hot eggs, sausage or bacon, and 2Belgian waffle machines. A great start to the day. The attendant kept the space very clean and well-stocked.

We would have liked to know at checkin that rooms were not cleaned daily. We understand the reasons( staffing shortages, environmental concerns) but we didn’t know we had to request full service.

The pool was immaculate. The employee that was taking care of it had taken a great deal of effort to keep it clean and bug free. I could see him doing other work on the property too. He was cleaning the hallways etc...

I had a hard time reaching them by phone.

We were moving out of our home and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. Location was great. We love Downtown Vancouver and we were able to go to the movies and meet some friends at some nice restaurants for dinner. Many great restaurants in Downtown Vancouver. Easy access off and on the highway. Breakfast was good. Bed was very comfortable after days of packing! Staff was super nice!

The place could use some updates. The chair in our room was really worn and dirty. Carpet could use replaced. But otherwise, the place was clean in all the important places for us!
