The entire hotel has an ambiance that captures you as first walk in. From the "candy store counter" at the front desk to the original building's wood plank floors, one knows they have entered a historical site. The old brick and hewn timbers seem to take one back in time, yet you feel the great comfort of a five star hotel. The bed was very comfortable giving a great night's restful sleep. The dining was excellent in both your restaurant and lounge ./ bar area. I would gladly stay at the Charmant again. My two day stay was delightful.

Perhaps the elevator not working, but things like this happen. Your concierge put me on the second floor which was helpful for me. Thank you!

The care of the room was not what it has been in the past. Body wash and hair conditioner were very low/empty and not refilled. Ran out of tp and had to request from front desk. Room service menu was not replaced after using it the night before in order for us to place another order for the next morning. Did not refill the fridge with two more waters as they have in the past. Slow to refresh room. Left for a few hours and returned to the room to find it still not cleaned and because of our schedule being in the room on and off for the rest of the afternoon, it was not refreshed that day.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The architecture throughout the building was amazing. I really liked the old style elevator floor indicator! I had a mocha in the morning in the coffee at The Parlour and it was excellent!

I thought that pricing for food and beverages was more in line with what I would expect to pay in a larger market like Milwaukee, but other than that there were no major drawbacks.

Breakfast was very good. The atmosphere was so pleasant and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have a reservation but the Hostess was able to get us in. Great service and friendly staff.

I really can't think of anything I didn't like. My husband who seems to find fault with everything raved about how kind and friendly the staff were. He was very happy with everything. I think we arrived about 1:00 and the coffee shop was already closed - maybe that could be open a little later on weekends??

Breakfast in the hotel was spectacular. Staff all over the hotel were absolutely delightful. It's a wo nderful quaint stay. Shopping and great restaurants nearby. And Ryan was extremely helpful with getting our car warmed up and cleaned off. The hotel has a fantastic service to take you to nearby shops restaurants, etc....

Just the body wash and conditioner was empty and I discovered too late.

Outstanding mix of well prepared veggies with the scrambled eggs. Actually, the young waiter was integral in our choosing. Room was a real groove. Very clean, hep and view over the park comfy.

Well, if I just missed a work-out center that was on me. I did not find evidence of a 'spa'.

we had a fantastic experience from the moment we walked in til the moment we checked out. facilities were lovely, restaurant with great food, staff always went above and beyond. These folks clearly love the hotel business and it shows. we will come back to LaCrosse just to stay at this hotel to experience a different season there.

The design of the renovated building is beautiful. Keeping so many old charming touches of the past. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is so delicious. What a special treat and a great end to our journey. Location is perfect directly on the park along the Mississippi River.

Only a small issue with sound between the adjoining room door. The neighbors woke early and were loud. But that was minimal as the beds were so comfortable.

Our room was a little shabby—not unclean, just in need of a facelift: lumpy pillows, polyester bedsheets with loose threads. First time I’ve noticed that in all my visits.

Very pleasant all around: attractive room with a comfortable bed, nicely served delicious breakfast in the restaurant, roof terrace bar had a fun atmosphere. Using Booking helped secure the room at a more affordable price. This is a very nice boutique hotel.
