My husband & I loved this place. Beautiful view of the lake. Rooms were very nice & clean. Comfortable bed & pillows. Great shower. Fireplace, couches, and borad game area. Bartender--Willie AMAZING. Housekeeping very sweet. Tami--Server so nice and funny. Tiki bar so cute. We had the seared Tuna and it was very good.

Front desk not too friendly--but I made her smile. Thin walls. 😁 I heard snoring next door just for a bit. Doors slam loud. Balcony is private, which is nice but needs a little cleaning. Fish fry & tenderloin--it was so so.

The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating!

We were disappointed in the breakfast setup. I would suggest that they have self-serve heated pans with scrambled eggs and bacon/sausages. Instead there was a man (in street clothes) standing by a table with 2 frying pans with dirty grease in them, and I'm supposing the ingredients for an omelet which were out in containers that were NOT in ice to keep them fresh. We ASSUMED he was the chef??? It just was not a very welcoming site. Parking was also a problem at times-they would be best to assign 'parking for patrons of the motel only".

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The omelet bar during breakfast was awesome. The view of Sturgeon Bay from the patio while we ate supper was amazing.

Our remote for the TV turned it on and worked for volume but didn't work for turning channels. It wasn't that big of a deal since we were gone most of the time. It is an older hotel, so it is a bit dated. There were a few cobwebs by the window that had some bugs in them.

This property while old is well cared for and very clean. The outside tiki bar is great and the staff was fantastic. The breakfast included with the room was simple but nice. Omelette chef was great. This is not a Hilton or Hyatt but it has a great rustic and authentic feel and every one of the staff was absolutely fantastic. The property is close to downtown and has great views of the water.

The breakfast was great. Lots of choices. My family also enjoyed eating outside for supper overlooking the water. We also took a walk on the private dock and took some great sunset photos. It made for a nice evening!

Our experience was really good and we would stay here again. If I had to say one negative it would be that the hallways had a smell of smoke in some places. That could mostly be to blame on other guests rather than the lodge as I know that can be hard to clear up if people are smoking on balconies or right outside a door.

Beautiful setting, wonderful grounds to walk around. Great Omlette breakfast. Could have had a few more grab and go items to take pressure off the cook.

Our Jacuzzi didn't work! One of the main reasons for our stay! When I asked if I could receive a small refund to set off this inconvience, I was told because I used Booking.com they couldn't do anything. When I made my reservation, the clerk I spoke to encouraged me to use booking.com, so I'm a little at a loss on this one.

The staff is excellent at this older lodge (think minimal outlets) and the location can’t be beat if you’re there for the Door County Century. Breakfast included. Staff responded to light bulb request during a wedding reception in minutes and then found a new lamp. The outside door battery was replaced very quickly. Lobby area is very comfy for football games. First floor requests might land you in the more rustic fishing outbuilding.

I liked that the boat ramp was close by, so we could launch our boat and have some where to park truck and trailer. Felt like a safe environment for our boat and belongings also.

The one and only thing I did not like: someone unplugged our boat from its charger that night. We talked to Paul, the owner, who told us where we could plug in our boat when we got there. Our battery for our livescope ran out very early the next day. That was a bit upsetting.

Great little property on the water, hidden in amongst trees and literally minutes from downtown. This wonderful chef prepared omelets to order every morning and they were delicious. Even our two picky kids ate them all to completion. Met owner Paul, he was super friendly and told me where I could park my boat and charge it while we stayed

I would say a little updating of the amenities but the place has character. I loved it

I purchased 2 days/nights for a short getaway for my parents. They loved the location and your lodge. They enjoyed your grounds.

There was a wedding the same weekend they were there. So they weren't allowed on the patio or anywhere outside due to the wedding. I wouldn't have booked the same time if i knew there was a wedding. I guess I'll have to learn to ask for any future travel plans.
