The hotel was beautiful. The highlights were the incredible breakfast, fast wifi, heated indoor pool, and outdoor Garbo bar where you could watch the sunset. The shower and bath were great and the aircon worked perfectly and wasn't too loud. The staff at the restaurants, especially the hostess, were so warm and lovely. I had a massage in the spa which was also fantastic.

The bed was rock hard, and the pillow were so soft and didn't have much substance to them so my parter got neck pain every morning. We asked if there were firmer pillows we could switch to but this was not possible. The Garbo restaurant was beautiful but the menu was very limited as many of the meals (especially the vegetarian ones) were not available. This is perhaps because the hotel wasn't very busy. Overall the two restaurant menus didn't have many vegetarian options.

The property is fantastic the rooms superb lovely pool and gym decent location if you want to be in the town but a good walk to the beach. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired so I would avoid eating there the breakfast is OK a lot of choice if you are from Vietnam expensive for what you get if wanting a European breakfast. Overall a very nice quality hotel at a reasonable price

Restaurant food terrible we ate over Chinese New Year so maybe that was reason perhaps short staffed. The staff were very good when we complained that the food was inedible. And charged us nothing for the meal and delivered fresh fruit to our room.

The location of this hotel makes it an ideal getaway destination. Subtly placed overlooking the coastline and on the main street, this hotel boasts of amenities like a swimming pool, gym and a bistro that serves gastronomic novelties complemented by a fully stocked bar. The rooms are bigger than most I've seen with queen size beds or twins that are pretty good. The kitchen staff needs particular mention because my vegetarian friend who was carrying some ready to eat meals wanted them to be heated and somewhat cooked which was facilitated by the staff. All in all a place you can go with friends family or couples.

We can't help but maybe complain about the prices but with the amenities available I can't say there was anything I didn't like. It was quite perfect

The staff were exceptional- warm, friendly, helpful- a genuine desire to look after guests. Surprised also by the English skills. Excellent meet and greet from the airport. Ms Nhan was particularly impressive but all staff were very good. The room was large, comfortable with a spectacular view of the river and the fishing activities. Breakfast was excellent- Ms Thuong was wonderful, as were the staff at the egg station. Great location for promenading along the river and visiting the market.

The pool was closed for maintenance for which the staff repeatedly apologised.

Wish the hot water was warmer. We had some really good experiences with the restaurant (like breakfast and Christmas dinner) but some of the other lunches/dinners we had were very average, like pizza which just looked and tasted like a frozen pizza. The burger and club sandwiches were also just OK - but as there are not many other places to eat around, we had to stick with it and it was fine considering everything else was great

Beautiful hotel with excellent decoration. The Christmas tree at the lobby made by wood is very creative & stunning. The massage by “Trang” in the spa is of high standard. Bed is comfortable & staff is very friendly & helpful.

We had our New Year Eve buffet dinner at Rumba the hotel restaurant, which said to offer unlimited lobsters, however the lobsters have gone quickly & we didn’t even taste one. The restaurant should have a limit on the number of the lobsters each guest can take if there are not enough to serve.

Great location, easy to get around. Staff were friendly and welcoming, Hotel is clean and tidy, the beds were super comfortable. Great gym with a view, rooftop bar. buffet breakfast was excellent, pho making station and egg station.

We had to ask to have our room turned down even after we were out all day with the sign on the door, was a bit frustrating as all we wanted to do was shower and relax but had to sit in the lobby whilst the room was sorted. The pool was nice looking but my friend and I were covered in bites all over our bodies after swimming in the smaller pool!

The staff helped us with the tour booking to the two caves in Phòng Nhã. It was absolutely great and adjusted for our needs with two small kids. We planned the tour an hour earlier (7 am instead of 8 am) and we were one of the first to visit the cave that morning. The guide was really good. The tour and guide exceeded our expectations - and we can really recommend this.

The floor in the pool was very slippery when it got wet. The hotel has mat to reduce but not on the entire floor.

We had a wonderful experience in this hotel!It started right at check in, with Nhan from the reception desk. She was super helpful, friendly, personable and efficient. She delivered a wow effect by thinking for us, booking our train tickets for the next day, and offering a late checkout :) At the spa, Loan gave me the best head, shoulders and back massage I ever had! She was very attentive and careful. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were attentive. I had forgotten to pick up a spoon for my yogurt, and before I could get up, one was handed out to me! To be noted also, absolutely every staff member was perfect, smiling and courteous, without exception. Most of them have good English proficiency. The bed was very comfortable, with 3 good different pillows for each guest. The food at the restaurant is very good and constant. Room service was top notch!

We could unfortunately not enjoy the pool, as it was crowded with screaming kids…

This is a 5 star luxury at a very reasonable price. It has extremely clean, spacious and comfortable bedrooms. The YHI spa is magnificent - the setting, the staff and the comfort were all first class. The massage was the best I have ever had. The gym was excellent, spacious and very well equipped. Breakfast was superb, so much choice in beatiful surroundings. The lobby and bar/lounge area were first class. The tour organised by the hotel to Phong Nha Caves was brilliant and very good value for money.

The only possible complaint is that other than using this wonderful hotel as a base for exploring Phong Nha caves, there is very little else to see or do in Dong Hoi - there are no museums, places of interest or a proper town centre. We found it very hard to find decent eating places in the vicinity - so we ate in the hotel restaurant, where the food was very good, but we were the only customers all night - a rather soulless experience in such lovely surroundings. One final thing, all the windows could do with a good cleaning!!
