The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming - my room was huge! Very comfortable bed and plenty of windows to let in natural light. The location is great and the wi-fi worked a treat. I didn't realise I needed to flick the switch for hot water (so I had a couple of icy showers) as I hadn't stayed anywhere with that requirement yet - it would be helpful if they made note of this at check-in or had clearer information in the room to make it obvious - but they were super nice about this when I asked and helped immediately so this is not a complaint at all, just a note :) A wonderful stay - I would highly recommend

We were upgraded to the nam long plus hotel so this review is for that hotel Everyone was very friendly and helpful, they arranged a taxi from the airport, gave advice and had a laundry service. The rooms were spotlessly clean with plenty of space and good Aircon. The location was good near to the river and the night walking street, but on a quiet street. No noise. A taxi/golf buggy to Nhat le beach cost 30 - 60k. Breakfast is extra but is cooked to order, we had banana pancakes which were lovely, but they also had Vietnamese food. We would definitely go back

Location! Right on the perfect corner for coffee, amazing street food and Andy's Bar right next door. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean bathroom.

This was our second stay at this hotel. We really enjoyed our first stay, and I requested to have the same room. However when we got there it was a different room, and there were no towels or warm blanket. I understand now that the requested room had already been booked, but I would have been more understanding if they were just up front about that from the beginning. I still would have booked here. Perhaps that is just a cultural misunderstanding. Anyway we got back to the hotel that night around 11pm and everyone was asleep, so we couldn't get any blankets or towels. Hot water stays hot for about 3 minutes before going luke warm.

Plenty of natural light, huge balcony, comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom clean with lots of hot water. Overall the room and bathroom were clean by Western standards. The location is perfect, we had a view of the river, the bridge as well as some of the night life around. We could also see the Tam Toa church from our private balcony. It's located right outside some excellent food and drink stalls that open at night, and coffee shops and ice cream stores line the main street. There is a super friendly and bumpin' bar next door that you can get beer at, and they turn their music down at a reasonable hour so you can still have a great night sleep with the window open! Would 100% recommend for anyone coming through here. Will stay here again if we spend more time in Dong Hoi.

Good attitude towards customers. At first we got a room that was a bit dark and the water pipes smelled. The problem was solved quickly, we got a room with a great view in another building of the hotel instead. We really enjoyed our stay and the view!

The first room was a bit scary...

Firstly, the extreme kindness of Hana, the hotel's owner ! Our night bus was expected to arrive at 3am, and she had accepted this very late check-in. we've finally arrived at 5am and she was here with her sympathetic smile. Then, she organised our bus journey better than we could expect. She is really good at it! The room was very clean, with a nice seaview. The hotel is very well placed, near the sea front and center town. Breakfast was good. Also, she speaks well English, making easier communication. Possibility of rent motorbike and laundry service. Thanks again for everything 🙏🏼

Very nice hotel, great location and kind, helpful staff. You can arrange everything there to visit the Phong Nha caves, like tours, private driver or renting a motor bike. We had a private driver to go to the caves, Tai, who also works there. He was very kind and trustworthy and knew a quick route to go to the caves!! We enjoyed our stay and recommend going there!

the hotel owner couldn’t speak English at all and had to call her (grand)child every time to communicate with us. she did a good job and they were very helpful so it worked out all fine!!

Great location close to the river, shops, restaurants, coffee bars, the wonderful Walking Street night market along the canal on weekends. I had a fourth floor front room with large breezy balcony and great views of the city, mountains, river, bridges lit up at night, memorial church, etc. Steep climb with no lift but well worth the effort. The hotel provided a free bike. The manager speaks very little English but her daughter (there evenings and weekends) is fluent and informative. Comfortable bed and furniture. Kettle provided.

There is a Nam Long Plus hotel a couple of streets further north. Confusing at first.

The fact that it was family run hotel and that Hana and Staff went out of their way to accommodate and help us out arranging tours and taxis. Room had lovely view over the river And breakfast Was good .Hotel close to beach and eating areas .

We stayed in Nam Long Plus instead and they helped me transfer our bags. They have an elevator and card payment. Big room and bathroom. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Great view and everything is clean. Near the river. It is definitely worth every penny when you are on a budget.
