Review of Carillon Hotel Hanoi: I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Carillon Hotel in Hanoi, and overall, my experience was quite positive. The hotel impressed me with its attentive staff, comfortable rooms, and convenient location. First and foremost, the staff at Carillon Hotel Hanoi deserves high praise. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the reception staff who were friendly and efficient. Throughout my stay, the hotel staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs were met. They were knowledgeable about the local area and provided excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing. The level of service I received truly enhanced my stay and made me feel welcome and valued as a guest. The rooms at Carillon Hotel were comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. My room was spacious and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities provided were of high quality. The room was equipped with modern conveniences such as a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a well-functioning air conditioning system. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay. In terms of location, Carillon Hotel Hanoi is situated in a prime area. It is conveniently located within walking distance of several popular attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. This made it easy for me to explore the city and enjoy the local culture without having to travel far. Additionally, the hotel provided a shuttle service that was helpful for longer excursions or airport transfers. One minor drawback I noticed during my stay was that the hotel's facilities, such as the gym and spa, were slightly limited in terms of offerings. However, this did not significantly impact my overall experience, as I spent most of my time exploring the city. In conclusion, I highly recommend Carillon Hotel Hanoi for anyone visiting the city.

The best thing in this hotel is its personel, always helpful and profesional. Good cleaning and breakfast service as well. Reception with perfect attitude. Supporting us all the time with advices and trip recommendations/services. Good contact even before arrival by the very end of our stay. Nice breakfast = bufet + menu.

Room was smaller (max 20m) than what I booked (25m). There was no separate living room. Just small bedroom and bathroom. Wardrobe = few hangers and that is all. Small windows with view on the interior corridor, almost no sun light (typical buildigg style in Vietnam) During our stay there was a noise from next building (construction work), but although it is not something that personel had any influence on, we were apologiesed and offered free transfer to the airport.

From the first to the last moment we felt like at home in this hotel. The location perfect: right in the city center, surrounded by cafes and shops. In just 10-15 minutes by walk you can reach the main bar and restaurant area, so everything you might need during your trip is easily accessible. The hotel itself is very neat and cozy. The rooms are very clean, carefully cleaned every day, towels are changed, so we always felt comfortable. The breakfast is well thought out - a small buffet and the main dishes can be chosen from the menu. This not only ensures fresh and high-quality food, but also reduces food waste. However, the hotel staff left the biggest impression. Incredibly kind, caring and helpful people who did everything to make our stay smooth and cozy. They not only showed us the main attractions, but also provided us with a scooter. Even when we accidentally lost our room key or wanted to extend our stay, everything was resolved quickly, professionally and with a smile. Staying at this hotel is a real pleasure that will leave you with only the best emotions. We definitely recommend it!

Had a good 4-night stay at The Carillion; and the truncated TLTR review is that the hotel is adequate and respectable; the rate is decent value for money for Old Quarter Hanoi. The hotel floorplan is on a narrow footprint; rooms are tidy and small (but understanding that this is common in Old Quarter unless you're paying bigger rates); exactly as shown via website pictures. Daily cleaning provided by efficient housekeeping staff. Breakfast on the top 9th floor is decent (you can order eggs, pho and pancakes; however there are limited buffet sections) and note the 9.30am end serving time. My room (#602) on 6th floor did not have a balcony (on other floors; some others do have balconies facing the street); and no window (which made total lack of natural lighting). A Smart TV, kettle, bottled water, hair dryer are provided. (Note: No mini-fridge, safe, or iron). There aren't any in-built cupboards, so lugguage / suitcases will have to remain on the floor. As a solo guest, this wasn't an issue, but I imagine that a couple staying may be restricted with lack of room. The shower/bath/toilet area is separated to the bed are with a sliding glass door. A 'deluxe double room' are two single beds pushed in together. Friendly and helpful reception (thanks Alicianne/Ahn; David), however a few others (one elevator guy) was perhaps too quick to pounce onto up/on-selling tour services (where commissions are perhaps involved). The location is within the thrumming bustle of the 36 guild streets of the Old Quarter (all named for 36 trades or craft that set up in this area). You are on Hang Dong (Street of Bronze), associated with the trading of copper; and next to Hang Ma, a trading street known for decorative paper crafts, especially during special occasions. Dong Xuan Market, which has great street food, also has a night market. There are coffee shops and eateries, within stone's throw, aplenty.

Two slight gripes: 1. The A/C was constantly cold despite modifying the temperature control 2. Poor soundproofing which is pointed out in other reviews (so I came prepared knowing this) is valid (bring earplugs); and regrettably (at the time of my stay), there was construction (drilling, hammering) from neighbouring property commencing every morning at 8am. Note: The front-of-house made an acknowledgement of this and provided a refund of my airport transfer fee, as a small gesture of apology.

Staff was incredible. Location is great, near to all spots and it is on the quiet side of old quarter. You can book all activities via the hotel which is cheaper vs online tours (starts with K lol). And hotel tours are VVIP treatment. I know because I used both. 10/10 for the hotel experience.

There was no fridge in our room, I was thinking it is pretty standard in all hotels but it is just a tiny bit of nitpicking. Overall experience is still exceptional.

Thin walls, including hearing the breakfast getting started + ongoing , people leaving etc. Might need to ask for things more than once (towels/water etc) Being on top of you might be a cultural thing, as an introvert it does feel a bit too much at times.

First of all the receptionists were amazing - all of them were friendly and very accommodating. Special thanks to Ngoc for arranging us a taxi ride to the airport, giving us recommendations on places to visit and just being such an angel. The room we stayed in had all the amenities we needed and the bed was very comfortable! The breakfast was amazing too. They had a variety of continental/fruits/Vietnamese food to choose from. Lastly but not the lease, the location is excellent as well because pretty much everything is within the walking distance .

Words are not enough to describe the warmth and kindness of the owner, Thomas, and his amazing staff. Ann and the team made me feel like family and were incredibly kind, welcoming and thoughtful. After a slight issue with my room I was upgraded free to one of their best rooms with a private balcony. I travelled solo for 3 days and the last two was joined by a friend who got the same warm welcome. Breakfast was great and generous, and I got a packed breakfast for my days excursion and for my trip to the airport. I loved every minute of my stay and can’t wait to go back, hopefully in November this year to see you all again! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and big hugs to you all 💛

Amy and the team are super friendly and attentive. They go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. All team members helped us with local hotspots to check out, bookings with our day/overnight trips for Ninh Bing and Ha Long Bag and general inquiries you might need answered as a first time visitor to Hanoi. Rooms were cosy, clean and comfortable. Location wise we are conveniently located close to all places/points of interest. Also the free breakfast was more than enough to fuel you up for your day ahead. Highly recommend you consider a stay here if visiting Hanoi. Thank you again Amy and Co!

We booked a bath room but wasn’t available and the reception give us an upgrade for a balcony room that was really beautiful and comfortable and it was really appreciated. The room with balcony has a lot of light and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower was amazing. Breakfast really good with a lot of fruits and fresh vegetables. Good location and I would recommend this hotel.

A bit of pressure from the staff to have reviews and come back but this is happening everywhere in Hanoi for what I noticed.
