The hotel is in a great location of district 1 with everything around: best restaurants, bars, massages & spas. The design of the room & hotel is eye-catchy, plus a great value for the money. The staff - specially the waiters & breakfast staff - are super attentive & suportive. (However, note that not 100% hotel receptionists are helpful comparing to those in other hotels, we need some lucks to meet the right ones).

Some tiny things but still annoying: the AC system is very loudly noisy, the window views to a messy dirty area, and no card for hanging in front of the door saying "pls make the room" or "privacy, pls".

This hotel is new and have got everything right. Staff well trained and very willing to help. The hotel is clean and breakfast more than adequate. I have staying in 23 hotels of various stars etc in Ho Chi Minh City and this is by fair the best. Its new so difficult to rate the room as it should be good but very good size. We had the balcony room with bath and a very comfortable bed, The real asset I thought was the staff, breakfast food, coffee shop all exceptional. Location perfect for many restaurants of most cuisines.

I stayed 7 days and can not fault.

This hotel had everything we needed for our stay in Saigon. It’s in an excellent location in District 1, with many bars, restaurants and the Saigon river just a short walk away (we could see the river from our room). It’s newly built, so the rooms are very clean, well designed and well equipped, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good too!

There was a dog that barked loudly outside the hotel each of the nights we were there. I’m sure the hotel can’t do anything about it so it’s not a complaint against the hotel, but it could be annoying to guests if that dog continues barking there every night.

Location is very convenient, the property itself is charming, stylish for being 3 stars. Clean and comfortable area including the bedroom. Breakfast is cute, sufficient to have a quick on the go before heading out. The staffs are very friendly, welcoming especially Gon, and there's another older gentlemen that work at the same position with Gon that helped with some info for nice cafes. Overall, its a pleasant stay for me as a solo traveller.

One thing took me by surprise is the balcony part, I was expecting a little bit more charms. Not so much because of the view maybe if they put more flowers and greenery it will more match with the overall vibe of the hotel. My balcony was facing the opposite property which is lack of charm too. I never open the drape during my stay there. You will have partial river view but you will see construction next to the view.

1/ Location is super! Right in the center of HCM, near little japan town, walking distance to Vincom and Nguyen Hue pedestrian walking street. All the best food options are near by ie. Pizza 4Ps, Quan Bui, Heart of Darkness etc. 2/ Room has a desk, suitable if you need to do some works. 3/ Comfortable bed 4/ Hot and strong water shower. 5/ Modern and clean design.

1/ My room type if Premium but room design is properly suitable for couples rather than friends as the showers and bath tub area is fogged transparent glass doors. I cannot imagine how awkward it could be if you are friends travelling together. 2/ Breakfast has limited options but it is decent.

The staff was very friendly, chatty, professional and helpful, always a kind word or a tip. The hotel is nicely located, with a lot of restaurants within a 15-minute walk and a convenience store just around the corner. Breakfast was great, with a good selection of food, and eggs or pho made to order. The room was a good size, with a safe and a fridge, easily accessible by lift. I will probably go back again if in HCMC as it is a good value for money and I enjoyed my stay in this property.

The shower/toilet configuration was a bit unpractical as after having taken a shower, the toilet area floor was really wet and slippery. So potentially an issue and you could also had wet feet when using the toilet within the next hours the shower being used.

La Opera is located at a fantastic location of District 1. Less than 5 minutes away is a large convenience store and it is less than 10 minutes walk away from Little Tokyo (dodgy but lots of awesome Izakaya and Japanese restaurants) and other great nightlife choices. The hotel itself is along a less busy street but there's some construction going on but that didn't bother us since we're out early to explore. Our room was modern, spacious and clean. Personally I'm not a fan of open concept bathrooms but they did separate the shower and toilet from the bath tub/sink, so there's some privacy. Shower and toilet are in the same space - so it can get wet despite the little step up from each other. Android TV in the room so if you have Netflix, HBO or Prime, you can login easily. Otherwise YouTube is also available. The staff were chatty and helpful. Perhaps because it is a new hotel, the staff were eager to help and friendly - I hope management take note and reward the staff for making guest feel so welcome. There's also a cosy little cafe located outside to chill and have a coffee I read some reviews complaining about the breakfast so I wasn't expecting much. This caused me to be pleasantly surprised by the variety they provide. For a hotel at the price and location, I personally think it's a good spread. Note that you are in South East Asia hence continental breakfast will not match wherever you're from nor can you expect something like the Four Seasons or Hilton for what you're paying. But for a new boutique hotel, I think they're doing a great job with an omelette bar, fruits, coffee along with local breakfast choices. I will not hesitate to recommend La Opera Saigon to anyone and I'll likely book it again should I visit HCM.

The open bathroom but that's the design of the hotel but that's a stupid complaint on my part seeing as it was clearly shown in pictures when I booked it. Seeing as it's such a good little hotel that I can tolerate it :)

Exceptional Staff, Doorman services are top class. Receptionist Service was great because they were very attentive and helpful. They showed sincerity and care to each guest and they were very accommodating to our requests and queries. Great breakfast spread as well.

Our room was great. But the walkway was filled with smoke as our neighbours were smoking in the rooms. It would have been great if there was designation of Non Smoking rooms and smoking rooms. This problem would be solved if smokers can smoke at the balcony instead. With that said, Everything was perfect. You can simply request for a Non smoking level to avoid this!

There was a cafe right outside the hotel that was affordably priced and i like how the hotel was tucked into a quiet alley. Japantown isn't super close to everything in downtown Saigon but to many places just a 15 min walk away. The staff were TOP tier and were so friendly even late at night. They were helpful and so kind. Breakfast buffet was decent, I ate there everyday. Mini stop on the top of the alley and many places to eat nearby.

Laundry service is WAY too expensive. I would suggest finding on your own and them having it delivered (I did this). I find the layout of the room a bit odd. Had the deluxe but felt the shower and toilet was too exposed for the room and the bum spray was a little bit too harsh to use easily. Only one elevator but it's not too bad to leave easily. But really no complaints I enjoyed my week here!

The hotel is very new and modern. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The area where the hotel is at is very near/within walking distances to the various attractions. There is also a minimart just 5 mins walk away.

Breakfast could be more varied. I only realised on my 2nd last day stay that there was an egg station available where we can ask for any style of eggs near the kitchen area. There was a small sign/note pasted on the window. The room could have more lighting as it was pretty dim. Perhaps have lighting at the bed area so we can use as night light? I booked a King Room which was a different layout then the pictures depicted. But after getting clarification, seemed that they have a different layout of their King Room which was what was given to me.
