Lovely spacious option, great for families. Had the size of a private apartment rental but with the facilities of a hotel. The staff were great, and very friendly. The pool was good and a little children's playground was enjoyed by our kids. A small supermarket on site also was very helpful.

Honestly, not much we didn't like. We never tried the breakfast, it looked a little basic. Location-wise, it is a little far from some of the main sights and lots of cafes/restaurants in district 1. Grab taxis were very easy and cheap to get, so not a big issue, but if you're wanting to walk out the hotel and find stuff, it's not ideal.

This hotel was amazing, clean and super spacious. We booked a 3 bedroom and a 2 bedroom, both were very spacious, beds were comfortable. The room had all the stuff we needed ie iron, washing and drying machine, full kitchen with utensils and pots etc The 3 bedroom even had a spare toilet in laundry. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Nice clean pool and spa outside with a small convenience store on site as well. Family mart, 711 and highland coffee plus local eateries within walking distance, even afew massage places across the road. Box market was within 15mins walking, great little market that sells Nice linen clothes and local Tshirts at very cheap prices compared to other markets so no negotiating is required.

Pillows could be firmer but overall it was good. Everything else is great.

We love our stay! From the moment we checked in, we were greeted by friendly staff, then found out about our spacious apartment ( 3 rooms with a laundry, huge kitchen complete, washing machine and a place to hang our clothes). To add to it, they offer fast speed Wifi, 50 inches tv with soundbar, good quality appliances, 50L water with dispenser just made us feel at home with our family with kids. We need to thank Jane, the event planner; her professionalism, passion for sharing the local experiences and her warm smiles always attend to our questions are invaluable! The apartment also has access to 24/7 gym, resident lounge and spa pool. 7Eleven, Family Mart and K Market just around the corner and a Michelin star Pho shop just within walking distance.

I have travelled Southeast Asia for the past 7ish years, and the staff at this hotel was simply outstanding! Each and every person we met from the guards at the entrance of the property, to the wonderful people working at the front desk day and night, not to mention the staff at the pool area and the cleaning staff were just amazing. My husband and I talked about how every single person working at the property was extremly professional, warm and friendly, and it really made us feel very safe and welcome during our stay. The hotel has a good location in District 1, a short drive from everything and with 7eleven and Family Mart just across the street and is in a fairly quiet area. It also has a small supermarket with a really good selection of fresh fruit, ice cream, drinks etc. We stayed 6 nights and used Grab to order transportation and all the amazing food HCMC has to offer, which worked out great for us. We really enjoyed the pool area during the daytime and at first I was a bit worried that there wouldn’t be enough sunbeds (12 + regular chairs) but many of the guests at the hotel didn’t use the pool or if they did, they would come once the sun disappeared, which worked in our favor. The apartment is huge and has everything you could need - even a washing machine, which was very easy to use. Very good quality pillows (5 star hotel standard), the mattress was a bit hard but not too bad. Great water pressure and tons of storage/closet space.

If I can give a bit of constructive feedback, I would suggest to make sure the cleaning of the apartment is a bit more thorough - for example the doors, walls in the shower and the fridge in our apartment had some stains, and also some of the kitchen supplies. Usually I am very picky about cleanliness at a hotel, but I feel like all of the positives outweighed this part (very rare!). And also, I would mention that some updates would be in order. For example the umbrellas in the pool area are very worn and old. It is clear that the property is an older one and could be renovated, however everything is very well maintained and looked after, so it was not an issue for me.

The unit was really spacious and comfortable. Everything I need is provided. Literally everything. They have washing machine, iron and board, hair dryers, microwave, two bathrooms, spacious dining and living area. The front staff speak good English. Every staff is hepful and attentive.

Not really within walking distance from the centre where tourists like to go like the markets etc but they have a lot of cafes nearby. And you can just use the Grab app to move around. It's convenient and reasonably priced. There was no grab on my last visit to Vietnam. So having Grab is really a game-changer. No more communication issue with your driver!

EVERYTHING!!!.We recently stayed 4N5D in their 2BR Premium Apartment.Super excellent service accommodation.SUPERCLEAN & SPOTLESS huge unit.Its the best place to rest and relax after a long day of exploring HCMC,you’ll feel like you are in your own home..The resort like living gives you peace and tranquility. The overall staffs are very likeable ,from the property Manager,down to the Receptionists -special mention to BRYAN & JASPER.Appreciate so much to Bryan for allowing us to check out late .The Security GUARDS (day & night shifts) who were All so helpful and being so alert.The HOUSEKEEPING staffs for maintaining the cleanliness of our unit and of course , not forgetting HUNG & YAN for preparing the unit prior to arrival.Thanks for making a towel cake deco with a personalised yummy chocolate cake as bday surprise to my husband that happened to be on our arrival date 1st September.Thank You so much SOMERSET for collaborating with me for the bday surprise . We will surely stay at SOMERSET HCMC again in the near future. Highly recommended!

A little far from the center for walking.

Somerset Hotel absolutely surprised us with the warm hospitality, great service and welcoming staff. The room we booked had everything - 2 bedrooms, a huge living room, 2 fully equipped baths, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine etc etc. Afer a few hectic days through the hustle bustle of Hanoi, we just loved the hotel and relaxed there. The pool was nice and so was the K-Market convenience store on the ground floor from where we could pick up grocery, beer and everything else.

Nothing. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. There is nothing not to like at this hotel. We could have lived there for longer and plan to that on our next visit.

At the end of our stay we were made to pay for replacement of bedsheets and flannel. A member of our party was ill during the night and had a nosebleed whilst sleeping so the pillowcase was stained and bedsheet and flannel that was used . Despite explaining this unfortunate incident, we were made to pay for the replacement . We paid but felt this was not customer friendly . For that reason, our opinion of the hospitality was impacted negatively .

We (a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 small kids) had an excellent stay at Somerset Ho Chi Minh City. Initially we booked a 2-bedroom unit but were upgraded to a 3 bedroom it was SO spacious (I'm sure 2 bedroom would be same spacious). Our unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, even a washing machine with washing powder which was handy after a long flight from Sydney. Great breakfast, great staff, great facilities (a playground was a huge bonus for us - kids loved it), lovely pool. Mini market on site was also super handy. We only stayed there for 1 night (layover before our next flight next day) but we'll definitely come back if we ever visit Vietnam again.

Had nothing to do with the hotel itself but the drive from airport was quite long (40 minutes) which was due to a lot of traffic so be aware.
