Can not say enough wonderful things about Herbal Tea Homestay. They arranged pick up from Da Nang for us. Greeted us with tea and fruit and the kindness went on from there. We had a delicious breakfast daily (additional cost that was very reasonable). A few evenings we even ordered dinner. The grounds are lush and private. Bicycles are provided for guest use. Some could use a little grease and tuning up but I felt that was all part of the authentic experience. The pool is a nice area, our room was large, there are two large outdoor covered areas to hang out for games (you provide), reading, drinks, etc. if you want a change of scenery. Its a quick bike ride to either the beach or old town. There are a couple local markets walking distance for fruit or snacks. Hoa and Binh are amazing owners and take pride in their property and helping others.

The family who run the property are so kind and attentive. They helped us book excursions and provided pick up and drop off to the airport. We booked the balcony room option, it was so spacious, with a comfy bed and good shower. The pool is a great facility for an afternoon cool down. It takes around 25 minutes to walk into the main town centre however the Homestay offer driver to take you in to town or Grab cabs are very cheap and readily available. This is an excellent place to stay and we would come again. Thank you :)

The air condition wasn’t the strongest, however we did ask for a fan in our room which was no hassle.

Really good value considering how cheap it is, includes a decent breakfast too. Really nice staff who go out of their way to help you with anything should you need it. They even gave me an airport transfer for a much cheaper price than the Grab app (250k VND). Room is nice. I didn't use the pool, but it looked good too. Free fruit and drink on arrival. Location good - away from hustle and bustle of the town centre, but close enough to get there or beach both in 5-10 mins by Grab motorbike (or can use free bicycles to go yourself too). I left early for a Ba Na Hills trip one day and the staff were nice enough to give me a takeaway breakfast too.

Nothing. Maybe just that no hand soap was provided in bathroom (although there is body gel and shampoo which a lot of people seem to use as hand wash in Vietnam).

We had a wonderfull three days in Hoi An staying at the herbal tea homestay! The owners treat their guests very well. We arranged a pickup from and to the airport through them (which was always on time). Breakfast was of limited choice but good quality. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. The pool is a nice extra, after a tropical hot day. We didn’t do any tours with them (but they have a lot of offers).

Only downside is the distance to the centre of town. (+/- 15-20 min by bike). They offer free bikes and of the owners have time they use their motorbike/car to drive you. This wasn’t a maior problem to us (we are used to bikini) but could be a challenge (also because of the extreme heat).

We had a perfect stay here! We were very lucky to be upgraded to the pool suite, as the room we booked was unavailable. We loved our stay so much that we asked to extend our booking, explaining that we were happy to move rooms if needed, but Mr Bình and Ms Hoa allowed us to stay in the same room and discounted it for us based on what we had originally booked so that we didn’t have to move. They were the most lovely hosts who took care of us the whole time we were there. Mr Bình even took us down to the old town on the back of his moped and offered to pick us up at night. We had a delicious breakfast every morning, which included lots of fresh fruit. They also arranged bike and luggage transport for us to do the Hai Van Pass to Hue. We cannot thank Mr Bình and Ms Hoa enough for having us and looking after us so well.

There is truly nothing bad or negative I could say about this property! Upon arriving you are greeted with a drink and fruit platter, and the family is SO welcoming. The rooms are immaculate and very clean. The property itself is beautiful with an incredible pool. I felt very safe and taken care of here and would recommend it for other female solo travelers (all doors well locked, locked wardrobe to store valuables) The food was some of the best I had in Hoi An, the Vietnamese coffee was great and it was the best Cao Lau that I have had on my trip so far. The place is a little far from the town center, but that’s what I preferred. The hostel has free bikes to use to make up for this, and one night while headed to the beach the owner drove me on motor bike as a courtesy! It was a 10 min bike to the town center or beach, and I enjoyed passing the non tourist local market on my way at there. I stayed past check out and felt very secure leaving my belongings in the common area as I enjoyed my last day in Hoi An. It was truly perfect!

Nothing! I enjoyed the set back location which offered a more local experience and didn’t mind the 10 minute bike to town.

Wow! So many things! The hosts are the loveliest people. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The room was big and clean. The breakfast was amazing and had lots of options. Free bikes to borrow. Great recommendations for tours (we did my son, the cooking class and then the motorbike to Hue and they were all great). The hosts bought us a cake for our honeymoon and we were very touched (we didn't even tell them - Mr. Binh's sister did). Anyways, highly recommend!

Nothing! The location is perfect if you want to go to the beach and town. If you just want the town it is a bit farther out, but there are free bikes to get there. It is in a nice quiet area.

Really lovely home stay with big rooms and comfy beds. We booked one twin room and one double room and they put us right next to each other. Lovely outdoor seating with lots of plants everywhere. We had a fantastic home cooked breakfast every morning and there was food available for lunch as well. The owners were both so lovely and helped us with various things we needed and even gave us a lift to the marble mountains and on to Da Nang train station on the day we were leaving.

Beware of mosquitoes everywhere in Hoi An

Loved the quiet location on the edge of the ancient town. It's a long walk or cycle but only 5 minutes in a taxi. If you want to stay close but away from the noisy bars it is perfect. The family who run the homestay are incredibly kind and friendly, from arrival they made us feel like part of the family too, including extended family who support the homestay. The pool area was clean and quiet and a good size to swim in. The food and drinks were delicious including breakfast. The family arranged two tours for us, to Ba Na Hills and My Son ruins. We wished we could've stayed for longer.

Nothing wrong with the homestay but there are lots of mosquitoes in this area near the river and paddies just bear this in mind if you're prone to being bitten.

One of the friendliest hosts and owners in my time travelling. She really goes out of the way to help-free laundry, sorting a car to the airport and greeting every morning. Lovely pool area and room spacious with good sized bathroom.

Minor negative is the location is too far to walk from the old town; meaning if you go out for a drink in the evening will require a grab which are not easy to get when the weather is bad. Having said that it’s a quiet location which is great if wanting some peace.
