Everything was great at The Muse . We know the area well it is away from the centre of town so quieter but still in walking distance or you can take a bicycle from The Muse or rent a motorbike. Airport pick up was organised for us and went very smoothly. The family suite was just right for us with our grown granddaughter privacy if needed but with enough room to get together . The pool was clean , plenty of sun lounges and pool towels . This hotel was very clean plus they have a great restaurant on site if you just feel like not going out . All meals cooked fresh and delicious . Most importantly though the owner and her staff are fabulous nothing is a problem and some of the best smiles around . We will be back to stay again soon .

The staff, the food at the restaurant, the pool. All were really good. The breakfasts are great value. Food & drinks served up by the pool if required. It's family run and it shows in the care and enthusiasm taken.

The sorrounding area - it's quite scruffy and there are, as in all of Sihanoukville, unfinished or empty buildings.

Don’t usually leave reviews but we had a fantastic 5 night stay at the Muse House, would highly recommend. Great accommodation and pool in a quiet location. Staff were so welcoming and kind. Thanks for having us to stay :)

Everything ticks the boxes here! We booked based on the great reviews we read for 2 nights. We quickly decided once here, to stay the rest of the month of July! Mainly because everything is perfect for us and the family is so helpful and lovely. We feel so relaxed here! Location is an easy 700 metre walk to old town/markets. They will easily organise anything you need to see or do so you will have a good experience in Vietnam. The rooms, bathroom facilities are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The property has a lovely pool area and great restaurant where you will also eat breakfast. The food on the menu is delicious and cold beverages at hand. Bicycles and scooters available. We have been travelling through 4 different countries since March - The Muse House is a hidden gem!

Typically like a lot of pools that we have come across- no shade over pool, water gets very warm.

This hotel located on the island next to old town, it takes probably 10 minutes to get there pn foot, but you can also take bicycle for free , which is a nice option since you can’t access main part of old town on motorbike. Breakfast was sufficient, there is a selection of 2 food option and 2 drink options for each person, so it is not a buffet. The rooms are just enormous size compared to everything we’ve seen here, also a huge balcony. Hotel is older, but well maintained. Swimming pool is super nice, very clean, private, surrounded by lots of greenery

I expected it to be more quiet, but there were a lot of motorbikes on this street, and also a construction (March 2025)

Value for money accommodation. It’s a small guesthouse like others on the same road, and it is pretty and cosy. Nice sized pool that is clean. The rooms are spacious and were clean. Beds are comfortable. Staff were always smiley and greeted us whenever they saw us back at the hotel. For the price, you can’t really complain even if there were some small issues that could be better. Breakfast was simple and more than adequate— one main and any number of drinks you’d like. Daily tidying up of the room was reliable. Laundry there is affordably priced and it was great to be able to not go home with a huge load of stuff to wash. Staff were helpful whenever we needed help or asked questions.

Some fixtures don’t work well in the room, eg the telephone never got fixed despite us asking a few times, the bathroom window is broken, the bathtub plunger doesn’t stay down. Hand soap could be better than a very tiny bar of soap. The neighbouring hotel’s dog was barking almost every night at 4am or 6-7am so if you’re not a sound sleeper, it might disturb your sleep. These were small things overall, and for the price, we aren’t complaining. The location is definitely further from the ancient city than we thought… it’s a good 20min walk with all sorts of traffic, not 5-10min as some reviews stated. We ended up booking an electric cab by the 3rd day to get us there in 3min. You could borrow free bicycles to cycle there instead if you want.

Location was good on Cam Nam island out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the river and old town. The Muse House was exceptional with a beautiful pool to relax by in the heat of the day with free towels and sun loungers. The pictures are true to life. Phuong on the front desk was a total gem and organised our onward transportation, with a smile every day. She speaks English and will go out of her way to help with tours and recommendations. Breakfast was plentiful with rice, noodles, omelettes, baguettes etc. We used the free bikes but found riding across the bridge at certain times a little hairy to say the least. The bikes themselves are functional and we rode to the beach on the flat roads, but do test the brakes beforehand as they’re a bit dodgy! All in all, a lovely stay.

We love staying at The Muse House. This is our second time, the first time for 5 nights and this time for 7 and we would definitely come back again. We have stayed in the family suite and the 2 bedroom apartments and both are fantastic for a family of 4, with plenty of space. The value for money here is excellent. Breakfast is tasty, everything is clean and tidy, the atmosphere is friendly. The hotel is family-run and the owners and staff are so kind. We particularly love that there is a pool and sunbeds to cool down during the hot day. The balconies are also great for relaxing. Walking to town takes around 10-15 minutes but rental bikes are available for a 5 minute ride. There are also plenty of small bars, cafes and spas on the way.

Bring some earplugs and a sleep mask if you don’t like to be woken up early. It’s bright before 6am and the town, children and dogs wake up very very early.

If you have questions it’s best to use the Booking.com chat - Nice pool facilities - Spacious and nicely decorated bedroom and comfy bed - Fresh towels and bottled water provided daily - Good WiFi - Good breakfast, as other reviews say - try the banana pancakes! You won’t regret - Bicycle hire available (the bikes we had were a bit old but did the job) - 15 minute walk into main centre/the local market, around 35 mins cycle to the beach - The TV in the bedroom, you can log in to your own Netflix and use other applications like YouTube

- Not sure that hot water was turned on during the day as our room only had cold water, was fine in the evenings - There was a continuous banging behind our room by the staircase which we think was the water tank, it went through the whole night but luckily we are deep sleepers. Other rooms may not have this issue - Unclear on minibar fees (no sheet in room, no info upon check in) - Additional 5% service fee upon check-out we haven’t experienced in SE Asia before, in addition to the 3% charge if you pay with card (which is standard across SE Asia)

My partner and I stayed at the Muse House for 5 nights and loved our stay! The room we had was as lovely as the property itself. I wish the weather was better for us, because the pool is amazing! The staff were always warm and friendly; they helped us to book multiple cars as well as excursions. The breakfast each morning had lots of variety, and if you crave something different, there are tons of restaurants nearby. The location is a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Hoi An. I appreciated this, as the Old Town can get quite busy. I always looked forward to the peaceful walk home.

Seasonal fruits with breakfast would be a nice addition.
