Everything was great at The Muse . We know the area well it is away from the centre of town so quieter but still in walking distance or you can take a bicycle from The Muse or rent a motorbike. Airport pick up was organised for us and went very smoothly. The family suite was just right for us with our grown granddaughter privacy if needed but with enough room to get together . The pool was clean , plenty of sun lounges and pool towels . This hotel was very clean plus they have a great restaurant on site if you just feel like not going out . All meals cooked fresh and delicious . Most importantly though the owner and her staff are fabulous nothing is a problem and some of the best smiles around . We will be back to stay again soon .

The staff, the food at the restaurant, the pool. All were really good. The breakfasts are great value. Food & drinks served up by the pool if required. It's family run and it shows in the care and enthusiasm taken.

The sorrounding area - it's quite scruffy and there are, as in all of Sihanoukville, unfinished or empty buildings.

Don’t usually leave reviews but we had a fantastic 5 night stay at the Muse House, would highly recommend. Great accommodation and pool in a quiet location. Staff were so welcoming and kind. Thanks for having us to stay :)

Everything ticks the boxes here! We booked based on the great reviews we read for 2 nights. We quickly decided once here, to stay the rest of the month of July! Mainly because everything is perfect for us and the family is so helpful and lovely. We feel so relaxed here! Location is an easy 700 metre walk to old town/markets. They will easily organise anything you need to see or do so you will have a good experience in Vietnam. The rooms, bathroom facilities are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The property has a lovely pool area and great restaurant where you will also eat breakfast. The food on the menu is delicious and cold beverages at hand. Bicycles and scooters available. We have been travelling through 4 different countries since March - The Muse House is a hidden gem!

Typically like a lot of pools that we have come across- no shade over pool, water gets very warm.

Value for money accommodation. It’s a small guesthouse like others on the same road, and it is pretty and cosy. Nice sized pool that is clean. The rooms are spacious and were clean. Beds are comfortable. Staff were always smiley and greeted us whenever they saw us back at the hotel. For the price, you can’t really complain even if there were some small issues that could be better. Breakfast was simple and more than adequate— one main and any number of drinks you’d like. Daily tidying up of the room was reliable. Laundry there is affordably priced and it was great to be able to not go home with a huge load of stuff to wash. Staff were helpful whenever we needed help or asked questions.

Some fixtures don’t work well in the room, eg the telephone never got fixed despite us asking a few times, the bathroom window is broken, the bathtub plunger doesn’t stay down. Hand soap could be better than a very tiny bar of soap. The neighbouring hotel’s dog was barking almost every night at 4am or 6-7am so if you’re not a sound sleeper, it might disturb your sleep. These were small things overall, and for the price, we aren’t complaining. The location is definitely further from the ancient city than we thought… it’s a good 20min walk with all sorts of traffic, not 5-10min as some reviews stated. We ended up booking an electric cab by the 3rd day to get us there in 3min. You could borrow free bicycles to cycle there instead if you want.

- Welcoming and attentive staff, able to arrange tours and taxis through them too. They offered pick-up from Da Nang for a reasonable price. If you have questions it’s best to use the Booking.com chat - Nice pool facilities - Spacious and nicely decorated bedroom and comfy bed - Fresh towels and bottled water provided daily - Good WiFi - Good breakfast, as other reviews say - try the banana pancakes! You won’t regret - Bicycle hire available (the bikes we had were a bit old but did the job) - 15 minute walk into main centre/the local market, around 35 mins cycle to the beach - The TV in the bedroom, you can log in to your own Netflix and use other applications like YouTube

- Not sure that hot water was turned on during the day as our room only had cold water, was fine in the evenings - There was a continuous banging behind our room by the staircase which we think was the water tank, it went through the whole night but luckily we are deep sleepers. Other rooms may not have this issue - Unclear on minibar fees (no sheet in room, no info upon check in) - Additional 5% service fee upon check-out we haven’t experienced in SE Asia before, in addition to the 3% charge if you pay with card (which is standard across SE Asia)

The property was absolutely lovely! So so nice, the pool was clean and perfect temp and the room was beautiful. Shower was great pressure, AC was powerful and worked well. The staff were absolutely lovely, waited up for us as our flight was delayed so we had a late check-in. Communicated very well with us previous to the visit and then during the visit they were so helpful with where to go and what to do. The breakfast was also lovely (would recommend the banana pancake).

We had read the reviews and knew it was a little bit of a walk but it was a bit of an inconvenience when wanting to pop back after a day out to shower

Such a cosy, feel good accommodation with beautiful surroundings. Super quiet with well maintained pool area where you can sit outside your room either on the terrace or balcony. Whole location is super modern but with a private holiday charme. We didn't want to leave. 12 minutes walk into town centre. Plenty of amenities around. Breakfast was great, delishious smoothies and juices. A laundry service that we used, laundry came back clean and folded within the same day. Welcome drinks too. Good taxi price offerings as well. Can fully recommend!

They organized a pick-up at 4 AM and we were even allowed to enter the room, without being extra charged. The room was the biggest we had so far and we even got a balcony. Due to the L-shaped room the AC was finally NOT directly over the bed; so the room got a nice temperature without feeling the 'wind' from the AC while sleeping. The breakfast fast very good: you could choose between vietnamese food, eggs & bread, a pankcake (altough 2-3 instead of 1 pancake would be more preferable for european hunger). We also really enjoyed the Pool on the hot days.

Nothing major. Maybe increasing the number of pancakes to 2-3 :D The tours they offered were to expensive for us, which is why we did not do any of them. However, they seems to be on the general price level for tours from Hoi An. So not overpriced on a local level but on a national one. E.g. half day trip to charm islands (8:30 - 14:30) costs over 700.000 per person. Which is more than what we paid for a tour to the Mekong Delta (from Saigon) which was longer and more comprehensive. But again, seems to be normal in Hoi An .

Hotel is nice and clean, staff (special thanks to Mrs Hao!) is very nice and helpful. Stayed for 4 nights on March 30, it was very hot and the pool was a nice thing to come back when coming back. We borrowed th bikes to go to An Bang beach that is about 5 kms away but do not advise it if you are not "Vietnam Traffic Savvy", it is another level and too stressful for us. Better just taking a taxi or Grab. City is about a 15 mint walk but during the hot day better also taking a taxi downtown. Would stay again.

Hoi An is very beautiful and interesting, but is getting too "touristy", sadly, too small for the number of tourists which takes away from its inherent charm :-( and this is was not even "high season". As well as too many vendors etc. I think its becoming a Venice or Dubovnik, too bad.
