We stayed at the Bay View Villa 3. it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. if you can afford the villa I think it’s definitely worth it. the views are incredible and the villa is completely isolated and therefore quiet. i think our villa probably had the best view. the resort is lush, natural but has mostly everything one needs the main bedroom in the villa has glass windows so more protected from mosquitos and easy to cool with air con. the staff goes in every evening to light anti-mosquito coils and the beds are protected with excellent mosquito nets. we loved the bathroom and showering in an open bathroom. yes there can be geckos and some little frogs/spiders but that’s what you get for being in paradise. it didn’t bother us at all, in fact we loved it. the resort offered mosquito repellent, 4 bottles of water daily. they clearly are making an effort to reduce plastic. They provide a torch in case you feels you want a little more light in the evening. The North beach is probably the best in the area. Mostly because it is not large but big enough for the resort and there is a protected cove making it very safe to swim. the south beach was a little more rocky and not a lot of people stayed there. you can choose. you can paddle board, kayak and have a bicycle for 1 hour for free. snorkels are free. the breakfast was great. there are 2 restaurants/bars, both in a nice setting the prices the restaurant at night are expensive but well worth for a treat. there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance (tree house for example has excellent service, staff and the food is good). these will be a lot cheaper. you can use the App grab to go to the main town. costed us around 120000-140000 dong and takes 15-20 minutes Oh, and finally the staff. they were helpful, kind and attentive.

Nothing worth mentioning

We just had the most amazing week at Mango Bay and absolutely loved our paradise-bungalow with oceanview where we could see the sunset everyday from our big and lovely private terrace - and the outdoor-shower was just idyllic. The staff was very serviceminded and the cleaningstaff made our bungalow nice and comfortable everyday. Breakfast was amazing with so many choises. For us this was paradise staying in the middle of nature with everything that follows. There are many reviews about mosquitoes and lizards - well you’re in nature, either you love it or hate it. For us it was just a part of the experience. Like many people writes the water there and the restaurant is expensive, but there are several restaurants nearby and free bicycles to a nearby store, so you can fill up the fridge. We loved the free yoga everyday and the beautyful beach where there’s free snorkle-, kayak- and SUP-equipments. I would recommend renting an oveanview bungalow instead of the room - it’s definately worth the extra cost. We rented scooters and took trips around the island, and we found this the perfect place to stay on the westcost with a private beach and beautiful sunsets.

perfect place to relax. We stayed in a villa the first few nights, then moved to a bungalow. Slept better in the villa because of the ac, but the bungalow was very nice. Bugs were not a real concern. Good music on the weekend. And fabulous breakfast! Dinner food was also good, so you don’t have to leave the resort.

Phu Quoc is not a place to go exploring. it is crowded and the beaches (except in the resort) are full of garbage. So it is a great place to unwind but, having traveled all around the island on a motor scooter, there is no reason to leave the resort.

If you are looking for the paradise on the earth you found the place. Don't search for the other hotels, this is the resort that you should stay. I visited Phu Quoc many times but never received a service and professionalism like in Mango Bay resort. High quality food at the both restaurants, friendly staff that are ready to help you with everything that you need. Thanks again for everything see you soon again!

Short time stay :)

Mango Bay is beautiful and has a serene atmosphere where you can daydream in solitude or equally be gregarious and sociable. The views out to sea from dappled shade of mature trees are gorgeous. Paths are soft and sandy bringing you back to nature. Access to the beach is along a long unbuilt-up frontage. The restaurants are both excellent with music on the weekends at Sands which made a great atmosphere. There's a variety of delicious dishes which will suit an international crowd and the choice and service at breakfast is spot on. The style of the bungalows is simple, rustic and no fuss which I loved. Little touches and attention to detail inside were appreciated: such as coffee and cafetières in bungalows, candles and anti mosquito net and coils. The aircon was super quiet and nice to use and the external bathrooms where you hear cicadas. The morning yoga on the beach was fantastic gearing me up to start to each day. I could properly relax here.

A little expensive for more than a couple of nights.

It is the dream of anyone who discovered the beach bungalows of Koh Samui 30 or 40 years ago to find a place like this now - and with the comforts we also now expect. Natural (literally), relaxing and calming. An outside (but covered) bathroom to die for. Service - and friendliness - that is superb.

It was more than we expected, a beautiful resort in a tranquil location. We stayed in a bungalow with sea view. It was spacious, very clean with a kind of rain forest bathroom/shower which was wonderful. So much vegetation around the property too. The restaurant was wonderful, very tasty food with many options and daily specials. The location directly overlooking the sea. We had a couple massage which was very professional, definitely worth it. The staff overall were very friendly and attentive. You could ask for anything and it was done right away.

Mango Bay is exceptional. A true eco hotel, you are surrounded by nature, in lush jungle. Our room was enormous far bigger than we expected with views through the jungle down to the clear waters. The food is DELICIOUS, fresh, tasty and healthy. The menu is large so even though we were there for 8 days we didnt get bored. The beach is pristine and there are free toys for the children to play with as well as paddle boards and kayaks. On weekends they have great live music at sunset and screen kids movies on the lawn. We are pretty fussy travellers but this exceeded our expectations, was complete value for money and we couldnt recommend it more highly.

Nothing. It was fantastic. SO much better than the other resort we stayed at on Phu Quoc that was 3 times the price, claimed to be an eco hotel but was not.

quiet location & beach , staff were lovely. Loved the rustic ambience.

The snorkeling was disappointing off the beach & the snorkeling trip expensive in my opinion. A pool would improve the experience.

Food is really really good in Mango Bay. Be it dinner or even breakfast, they are so good. The ingredients used are fresh and the taste is just so flavorful. The beach may not be as calm as the southern beach, but the water is clear, with soft sand minus the strong current. You can experience beautiful sunset/sunrise if you stay here. Oh, do go to their spa and try the massage because it is surprisingly so good!

Since the property is surrounded by trees and plants, you cannot avoid but to have mosquitoes and other insects. It'll be better if there's proper instruction on how to use the mosquito coil, if not getting some assistance from the staff. There's no phone in the room so if there's anything you need, you either call/text the receptionist using Whatsapp or you walk to the reception instead. I think there should also be more lights along the path to the rooms, as it can get so dark especially when the room is further up (in the mini-jungle I call it :) )
