FANTASTIC location if you are on holiday to relax on the beach and enjoy views. Keep in mind that the location is a bit secluded from the main towns, so in order to get around you will have to book a taxi directly with the hotel which is a lot more expensive rather than using a grab. The food is great, and service is prompt! The hotel hosts a lot of fun festivals or mini parties throughout the week which is fun. Great place to relax and rejuvenate.

Most of the staff don’t understand English. We experienced SO MANY mix-ups due to miscommunication. The staff who do understand English are too shy to confirm or clarify if they are confused by your request. On our first morning at the hotel, we were turned away from breakfast because we were 1 minute late. The staff starts cleaning up breakfast roughly 5-10 minutes before 10am. If you are a person who works online in a different time zone, beware that you will most likely not be able to wake up early enough for your breakfast. Other than that, everything was great.

Villa was clean, spacious and well-appointed. Nice private pool. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. My complaint about the tour operator the resort refers guests to seemed to have been taken seriously. The gym is really nice, as it has a good variety of modern equipment. Breakfast buffet is varied and of reasonable quality. Overall I would consider staying here again.

The tour operator the hotel refers guests to for local activities is not professional and I was surprised a 5-star resort of an international brand would work with such a company. It failed to follow basic safety standards, like providing life jackets for all boat passengers, and did not follow the itinerary. I didn't like the fact that the resort allows buses to park along the road adjacent to the villas during the day, and to let the bus drivers sit on the grass there. It's off-putting to go outside and see a long line of buses and bus drivers hanging out like a picnic steps from your villa.

This hotel is all out fantastic. The staff is delivering service on a very high level catering to your every need. The food is great and the breakfast is perfect with a very big selection of Asian and western food. The private beach at the hotel is just wonderful

Could have been more sun beds at the beach, but it is a minor detail. In general we do not have anything to say about the negatives

Facilities

ALL of Phu Quoc Island has a serious pollution problem. Rivers and beaches are VERY littered with plastic and other trash, it's VERY visible in the beach and water. The beach in front of Mövenpick is no exception. I hope Mövenpick works with other big brand hotels in the Island and the Vietnam government to tackle this problem, because honestly it's not good for business. I really enjoyed staying at Mövenpick, but solely due to the Island's pollution problem I wouldn't come back.

Sunset : we stayed at both Resort Waverly and the Villas & Residences, the views are fatanstic, just two thumbs up! Taking photos in any angles or locations come out so beautiful, at the beach or up on a high floor balcony. Chocolate Hour : you get to have an hour of a complimentary selection of chocolates, cookies, and some fruits. Serenity : the serenity it brings to every night walks between two buildings is so healing, not to mention walks to the beach.

Breakfast : you better add a breakfast included option, not because its taste or quality just because not many options due to its location Transportation : Grab won't be working because drivers are not around (meter taxies available) otherwise, they provide airport transfer services Environment : smell of burning around the area (don't know if it's for bug repellent or garbage incineration) and also unpleasant smell from the lake or landscape (tree fertilizer, etc.)

Amazing resort, lovely rooms with balconies , great facilities/pools and even the gym is quite good! The beach is lovely and the room service menu was better than their restaurants somewhat bizarrely! Very nice staff!

Service at the pool bar (Aurora) was very slow, takes 30 mins to get a cocktail during happy hour! Some of the staff’s English was not great which can lead to some misunderstandings. You can eat cheaper at places outside the resort if you venture out, but that’s to be expected at a 5 star resort.

We were upgraded to a wonderful suite on a high floor. The view is exceptional. All employees are polite and nice. Breakfast is very good and diversified. The private beach and the pool are super nice. Must be the best experience we had for the price we paid

The massage skills really need to be improved. It wasn't at all satisfying, or it didn't feel comfortable, or you felt nothing (even when I asked her to put in more strength). If it wasn't for the very nice spa space that we had free full day access to along with the massage, it would be very disappointing the 3m vnd massages that we paid. The employees' attitude was still very good though.

Stayed here for 4 nights. We had a King size room with mountain view. Comfy bed. Clean room. Modern and very spacious. Staff friendly.

There is no shade on the beach loungers (which is an issue for me as I burn easily) but for sun seekers it's perfect. The loungers by the pool were not the comfiest. For the best pool loungers you have to get there very early (common in most rooms). The bathroom had a huge wall window and whilst a blind provided some privacy you could still see through and so you didn't have complete privacy when going to the toilet. Prices here are higher than the mainland and comparative to the prices in central Ho Chi Minh City but that is expected from an island that relies on imports.

The breakfast was quite varied and tasty. The pool area was nice with a big pool and many sunbeds. The hotel room interior was very pleasant looking. Being provided towels for pool/beach and free water everyday was very positive.

The food from the «in room dining» menu was okay, but could be much better. We would prefer more variety and more flavour/spice to the meals, and perhaps more food from different cuisines. It would be great with more vegan options for both breakfast and other meals.

The beach was dirty, full of trash. The breakfast buffet was good but the menu for dinner was very boring and overpriced.

Overall it was nice
