The staff was polite and very attentive to the guest experience - with Zambian charm. Very helpful professionally. The food was excellently prepared and changed occasionally to my delight. It is value for money in this part of the city. Security was good too.

Sometimes the rooms (guest room and lobby) had mosquitoes. The addition of the lawn on ground floor will add colour. . The smoother transition to backup power would help with devices. The in-house room entertainment may be improved too.

The location in town and the cleanliness of the place

The machine at the reception made an error but i was charged. The ladies at the reception wasn't comprehensive at all and i had to pay twice despite the fact that i showed her my bank message saying that I've already paid. I will follow up with the manager but I'm really disappointed. It was a stressful and bad experience for a first time staying at Protea

Breakfast was very nice and it's a good location for business and very easy to access other places from there all the staff members were very helpful and cheerful. Rooms were very clean and I must say keep it up team protea hotel cairo you are the best.....

WiFi was a bit slow but not really bad maybe 1 or 2 touch ups so that it can speed up a bit. But it wasn't that bad.

The breakfast was really tasty with generous portions; my eggs were made just the way I like them. I also loved the packaging used when I had to takeout my breakfast. The staff is definitely the best feature of this hotel. They were really friendly, warm, helpful and they made me sure I had a pleasant stay. The service at this hotel was exceptional indeed. My room was big and looked just like the photos. Housekeeping also did a great job with the cleaning.

The staff were super polite and friendly, always ready to help! Breakfast had a reasonable variety to choose from and the staff were always there to urge you to try something different! Location was excellent; right in the heart of everything!

The internet was disrupted a bit sometimes. But I came to understand that it was a Lusaka issue, not just the hotel! My work was, however, not affected

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and in bedding etc was great. There was a good selection at breakfast and the restaurant is good too. I didn't eat there, but the options sounded delicious!

The wi-fi in general (in Zambia) felt a bit like 90's dial-up internet. It took an hour to download Yango (uber) at the hotel. The gym could do with a treadmill.

The place is of good standard. The highlight of this trip were the staff: Very helpful, warm and welcoming. A big Thank you to all of them for all their help.

Airport shuttle is available, but no shuttle from the main bus terminal. It would have been of great help for a late arrival. The staff advised that taxis were available from there, and that was good enough because it worked out fine in the end. Bear in mind it's only 15 minutes walk.

I liked that it was very clean! Breakfast was good, staff was very nice and helpful!

I liked everything and everyone, except one of the receptionist, Tandi, she was unprofessional, she looked confused and bored and like she didn’t want to work. She was unable to do the simplest math. She struggled to give me change because she couldn’t calculate.

The hotel is downtown and I like the location since we used a bus to get to Lusaka from Livingstone. The hotel staff is very professional. The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was a fully stocked buffet, we enjoyed it. They even had a pancake machine!

The Wi-Fi was a mess. Very slow and weak. One would struggle to even download a picture on WhatsApp. So unexpected from a hotel right in the city center. That was a huge disappointment.

Friendly and professional staff, clean room and facilities, great breakfast! I actually enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The staff went out of their way to please me. I like the decorations and window blinds in my room.
