We had a beautiful view of the canal & mountains from our balcony. The International Market was 2 blocks away and the Beach was only 5 blocks away. Our 2 bedroom suite was very spacious and comfortable.

There was limited parking. If you didn't get a space on site. You needed to park in the garage across the street. This was convenient but the cost was $35 per 24hr period.

Facility was well maintained, very clean, and staff was both friendly and professional. Location was convenient, kitchen was well equipped, and on-site parking was available and included in the price each of our 10 nights at this location. Beds were quite comfortable and room space was far greater than we expected.

Facility was a bit dated, smart tv's would be nice to access streaming services. May seem petty, but we always appreciate paper towels in the kitchen. However, linen kitchen towels were available for use.

Great service, super friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, car rental just across the road, walking distance to many restaurants and shops, only 2 blocks away 10 min walk to Waikiki beach. 5 min walk to a bus stop to go to Ala Moana, Diamond Head, Waikele Premium Outlet , Perl Harbor and many more. Huge room for Hawaii for a price of a smaller room in other hotels in Waikiki area, full size fridge, good size TV.

Just a normal electrical jug in a room would be nice, but we had a coffee machine in our kitchen we used to make a tea and coffee. Can be a bit noisy with the night time motorbike riders if you get a view room overlooking Ala Wai Canal , but you get a stunning view which is worth it.

Great central location, a couple of blocks back from the beach and very close to a main ABC store for food and drinks. The cooking facilities enabled us to cook our breakfast every morning which was a nice slow way to start each day. The staff were exceptional, just so helpful. I left my phone in the Uber from the airport and the reception staff really tried so hard to help me get it back. The small pool is also nice if you don't feel like the beach. Shower was great and the room was much bigger than I expected. Our balcony was on the canal side, and I really enjoyed this view.

I booked at the Ilima because the rates were a little lower than other hotels. I was a little weary because it is an older property. IT ABSOLUTELY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! DAILY Housekeeping! (Rare these days) In-room stationary (like in the old days). Great balcony view. Huge room. Free daily newspaper. They even have a library and a button-sewing kit in the room! Terrific neighborhood. Lots of food and shopping venues. Very generous staff and Nicki, the concierge the front desk recommended, was wonderful!

Location close to Waikiki beaches and downtown. Kitchenette was great for quick meals instead of having to eat out the whole trip.

Maintenance crews were working in the parking area and parking my vehicle was difficult due to small spots and tight access. Late in my stay the parking issues were resolved with additional, larger spots came open as barriers were removed. Problem solved.

Amazing location, walking distance to everything you want to do in Waikiki. The rooms are huge and we loved having the balcony. Everything was very clean although a little dated. Free parking lot is a huge money saver, we appreciated that. All in all a nice hotel with great staff!

The pillows are ready to be replaced. The hotel next door got a pretty loud a couple of evenings. The pool is bare bones.

The most cheerful and helpful staff - from front desk to housekeeping - thank you. Lovely big room with wonderful view. Shortish walk to the beach. Simple but efficient kitchen facility in the room - with everything we needed - except a corkscrew which the front desk promptly supplied. Supply of beach towels from the front desk was endless - pick them up on the way out and drop them off, wet and sandy, on the way back.

Quieter air conditioner - noisy but it worked well. Closer supermarket would have been good - but that's a Waikiki thing I suppose.

Was delighted to get easy no cost in and out parking at Ilima, very convenient to the room. The room was very large with 2 beds and a kitchen. Only a block off one of the main 'drags' which we'd stayed on before. We much preferred being back that little bit. Only reason not rated "Excellent" was that it had a window (vs central) AC which ran constantly. Didn't bother me at all but did interfere with my husband who is a very light sleeper. Would most definitely stay there again.

Central air vs window unit would be an upgrade.
