Blue Heron Boutique Motel

Modern decor, very clean and comfortable. Had nice teabags (not the usual cheap varieties), plus complimentary bottled water and mints, and some cookies. We had arrived off an overnight flight, so the manager very kindly granted our request to check in early which we appreciated very much. Lovely staff and good value for money. The location is great, so close to the beach, and a short walk to a good Thai restaurant.

The road works outside. The tram extension roadworks go all night until 5am, and even though we were provided with earplugs, there were a couple of hours in the middle of the night that I couldn't sleep due to the noise. This obviously won't go on forever, so in future I would be happy to stay at this motel again.

Everything about my stay was essentially perfect. The location is quieter than Broadbeach or Surfers but only a cheap Uber (or 40min walk to Broadbeach) and you are amongst everything. Very comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower. I didn't use the pool as it was a bit on the cooler side but it and the surrounding area has a great fee. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. All that for much less than so many of the pretentious hotels on the Gold Coast. You may not have a water view but every morning I walked the few short blocks to the beach so who cares!?

There was literally nothing I didn't like.

The motel has a great vibe - modern retro with boho touches. Staff were lovely. Rooms are quite spacious (we had twin room for 3 people.) Easy to find and close to waterfront and cafes etc. quick drive to central Gold Coast as well as suburbs.

Parking was an issue - we were told it’d be easier to park second night and when we got home from a show , there was one park left which another car had parked nearly half a metre across. All street parks taken . I didn’t want to park a block away as would have had to make my elderly mum walk or drop her at accommodation and then walk late at night by self. I ended up squishing in - had to get my mum out of car first, then cautiously park. I struggled to get out and just left early so others could get into their cars. There was quite a lot of dust build up on wall/fabric above bed and in corners of room - noticeable when you plug in charger- just need to let cleaners know. Neither of these things would stop me staying again but nothing improves without feedback!

Simple, clean, provided basic things we need (the resort where we stayed before didn’t provide utensils 🍴). They didn’t ask deposit 💸. They trusted us. Appreciate that. Carl at front desk was very helpful. Near bus stop so it’s easy to get the bus 777 to the airport. 5 minutes walk to the beach.

The front desk didn’t open 24 hours. Close at 6 pm (or 8 pm? Don’t remember). There’s emergency # to call, but would be better if there’s someone around. We learned it’s typically like that anywhere in Gold Coast. So, can’t complain, I guess. Only 1 restaurant opened around. There’s a kind of shopping Center (small) 10 minutes walk around Tambourine street. Only coffee shop available and NightOwl. The Italian bakery and other places were closed.

Exceed our expectations. After hours checkin was easy, communication was great. Room was spotless, so was the pool and the entire property. Perfect location, close to so many nice cafes, bars and restaurants. Close to beach. On the main road, yet was still quiet. The room was attended to every day and coffee teas topped up Most important thing for me is comfort of the bed and bedding,and it was exceptional here

Excellent service, Owners are always happy and helpful, beautiful rooms and spacious. Great Tea , coffee and kitchenette, everything you need, even a coffee machine. Walk to great Surf Clubs and amazing beaches. Not far from Pacific Fair Shopping centre and the movies. I stayed here regularly now instead of the big Chain Hotels as it's Family owned and operated, love this place ! Rooms are just like the website 😁

Loved my stay here! Doesn’t look too fancy from the outside, but it is really cozy, new and clean! Had everything I needed and the staff was so nice and friendly, made me feel at home in no time. Especially loved the proximity to the beach and that I could do my laundry there. The coffee truck on motel premises that opens on the weekend is superb!

I can be a little loud so if you are a sensitive sleeper bring ear plugs 😊

The staff went above and beyond to help us. We were flying out later in the afternoon so they provided us with late check out and even helped us by storing our bags while we went to the beach after check out even though at that time reception was closed. Really appreciated it, all staff were amazing. The place was beautiful, clean and had everything you need. Would definitely stay again.

Overall very comfortable stay on the Goldy. This place is clean and well maintained. The shower is super pressure. There is a Nespresso machine which adds an extra touch and a complementary water bottle.

I honestly think the cleaner forgot to clean the sofa chair. The sofa chair was full of sand!! Photo attached. Nothing major, but could have been better as it reflects over all cleaning.

When we arrived we were greeted by a really lovely person who was very welcoming. The rooms are CLEAN, really CLEAN and well appointed. The pool is in the middle of the Hotel and looks beautiful. The entire place is super cute, spacious, very well looked after and probably the best value for money Australia wide. If you're looking for bang for buck, than book this place. The owners are really friendly and caring and up for a chat. There's a little shopping centre just up the road where you'll find some great little eateries, coffee, breakfast and a bottle-o. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. I was really impressed with everything about this place and its even really close to the beach. Even the other guests were ice. :)
