Burleigh Gold Coast Motel

Reception staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating, I had to finish late, but my other party checked in before me, and the staff made sure that went smootly. I liked how all the decor matched, the little dining table was tied in to match the inbuilt bedside tables, also matching the bed linen and towels. The bed was not firm at all, which is rare for hotels, and was one of the most comfortable beds I've EVER slept on. Everything was almost clinically clean. They provided a really good brand of tea and instant coffee, and the best milk to go with it. The communal areas were also very clean. Would definitely recommend.

I didn't like hearing other guests outside in the corridors, despite them trying to be quiet, or hearing other guests doors open and close. The sound ehoes through the other rooms. That is my only criticism.

The location was convenient to venues on the Gold Coast eg cafes, coffee shops, airport etc and we were always able to find a parking spot at the rear of bulding. The two rooms (101 & 102) were convenient for the group communication.

Some road noise from a truck & workmen doing work outside the motel on Sunday night at 10.30pm for at least 30 minutes. I didn't think that the council worked late at night!

The room we stayed in was newly renovated. Very spacious and very clean. A bit far out from city center but right next to bus stop that takes you to trams.

Very confusing. No one in the office between certain hours, we weren’t aware of this so waited outside of more for 45mins waiting for them to open so we can store out bags. Staff we’re okay, very confusing checking in if you’re after 6pm as staff aren’t there and you have to check in online.

It was a pretty good experience all round. More flexible opening hours would have been the only improvement as its pretty nice there. Great location especially and great rooms.

The neighbours grumbling by the smoking area fence even though we were really quiet they were shushing and complaining.... Oh well tho minor detail. Weekly booking rates for cheaper would be great too!

Location is awesome (and you could say strategic). About 3 minutes walk to a more laid back not very crowded beach. Has a bus stop right in front of of the property - bus 777 from airport stops here too. You can take this bus straight to airport from another bus stop across the road. Coles and a few good cafes nearby. Walking distance to some attractions like burleigh heads. Staff took the time to still point out few good locations when i checked in, even when she appeared to be very busy juggling jobs, and without my asking. I appreciate that. Facility is good, spacious room, good shower.

If i have to really nitpick: this property is along the highway, so can get a bit noisy at times. I think this is already mentioned in the fine print or something. But thankfully traffic is not busy at night so sleep won't be disturbed by car noises.

Excellent, friendly reception. Room was very clean and beds were comfy. It is what you would expect of a quality motel. We were only staying for one night - so it was really adequate for that, and located in an area where there is easy access to anything you require.

The area out the back where you come up the stairs. People smoke near the bins there. It makes the stairwell smell, and gives an impression of the motel being a bit seedy. I was a bit worried about what the rooms would be like, but was pleasantly surprised.

Location was a definite like for us. Plenty of restaurants, takeaways and bars to choose from, all within 5mins walk from the motel. HAVE TO TRY "THE PADDOCK CAFE" which is just around the corner. Can get busy but worth the wait. Staff were very friendly and room and amenities super clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Its not a dislike really but a note to staff. The television may need to be replaced as the screen is damaged.

Location is perfect, near the beach and shops. The room was lovely and well looked after. The staff were absolutely amazing and probably the friendliest I've ever met. The food at the restaurant was perfect for me and my vegan friend.

I honestly don't think I have anything to pick with this place. I guess the only thing was having our room right next to the kitchen. Although it wasn't too loud, that's the only thing I would say.

very modern rooms, with everything you need! we had a comfy double bed and a single in our room with a fridge. the pool was nice and one of the nicer locations along the Gold Coast.

only problem was being right next to the main road, could maybe do with thicker curtains to block some of the road noise out.

The manager/reception person was excellent to deal with. They dealt with an external issue very well. Our room was comfortable and had been recently refurbished.

The power went off at 4 am on our 2nd night. Therefore aircon, although we had lights. Apparently this electrical outage happens sometimes.
