A luxurious and beautifully styled hotel. The historic architecture and exceptional facilities made for a truly unique experience. A wonderful romantic getaway, would definitely recommend!

We were disappointed when we arrived at the pool and found out that public access times were only from 5:30am-7:30am and that pool access otherwise needed to be booked in advance. We were not informed of this at any stage, including in the pre-stay call from the hotel, when we were checked in by our host, or in our printed itinerary. There is also no mention of this on Booking.com or on the hotel website. We were also unimpressed that we had to wait 25+ mins before being checked-in at the reception desk (we arrived at 3pm).

From booking to check out, nothing could be faulted. Absolute perfection!! I stayed here for a special occasion recently and the entire experience was above and beyond. The building itself with its history and restoration makes the stay so incredibly unique but the incredible staff that ensure the 'extras' are delivered seamlessly and effortlessly make the experience feel personalised with a feeling of appreciation for staying there. Emma is the MOST incredible concierge/experience creator I've ever encountered and her professionalism and attention to detail needs to be acknowledged. Thank you so, so much!

The bed was a little small for two tall people who like to take up space but honestly, it just gave perspective to the fact we were sleeping in a room that was previously a jail cell!!

The Interlude staff were so lovely! From welcoming us while checking in, to the Olivine staff. Thank you for making it a perfect stay! The rooms were spacious yet cosy, very luxurious which was great! The heated pool was amazing for an early morning swim and the drinks at Olivine were superb!

Room service would have been lovely if it was included and I wish the tour of the prison was included as it was a bit confusing to realise we had to externally book a tour however the most minor thing.

Incredible stay. Absolutely loved the way the hotel has been incorporated into the historic building, very well done and makes the experience totally unique. Lovely staff who are proud of what they do and the place they represent. One of the most memorable stays I've ever had, will stay with us for ever. Luxury and class right here in the exact building where there was none!

Loved the uniqueness and the personalised touches- check in, welcome drink, room, everything! The private pool access was divine! And the personalised itinerary for our stay

The sleeping area was very hot overnight if you pulled the curtain closed. And no opportunity to have breakfast at the property unless you purchased it with the room.

The Interlude is a great experience. The reconstruction of a former prison to a very confortable Hotel while keeping original details in place is really great and has been very successfull to our opinion. Great service of the staff at our late arrival. Fantastic place

The rooms are incredible, luxury and history melded in a very unique manner. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The extra $200 bond payment wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the fine print, make sure to allow for that in your budget when staying.
