Toorak Manor Hotel

The location suited us perfectly, as we travelled into city to see show and have dinner. The return trip to hotel was simple and the location of hotel was very quiet and a lovely old world charm, The room was spacious and well supported with additional chairs, large TV and good bathroom.

The parking of the car was good and safe, however trying to access the front door was cumbersome. A car was parked in the correct spot, but this gave us inadequate access because of luggage and small bushes. Coupled with it raining, making the shortcut over the lawn, very wet and difficult. A bit of a let down was that we are seasoned overseas travellers and all hotels overseas usually supply lovely fresh bread in the breakfast rooms, not frozen bread ready for toasting. Also you need to close the bathroom door as during the night the perimeter lights seep into the room. Apart from these minor problems a lovely place to stay.

The Toorak Manor Hotel is a great place to stay. It's close to the train station which is only 3 stops from Flinders Street station. There are great restaurants within easy walking distance. Next time we will ask for a ground floor room as the stairs are quite steep.

Location was opposite the metro train and trams were 250 metres on Malvern road. The Manor was very comfortable with a common area lounge with a small library. Yana our customer focussed host was very pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was continental but plentiful provided in a large room. Many tastes were satisfied. In addition to knowing the local coffee shops Yana offered a MYKI card which we used on the Melbourne transport system as we were out of Towners. Would highly recommend. Parking was excellent. The bedroom was very quiet.

Toorak Manor is a beautiful historic building with a warm welcoming presence

The building is very beautiful and stately. The location was close to excellent restaurants, the train station and easy access to central Melbourne. The room was spacious and comfortable with nice touches of decoration in character with the house. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet.

The on site parking would be challenging for a large vehicle, but onsite parking was a bonus. A hot breakfast option would be great, but the continental breakfast was adequate.

The hotel is located in a great area, train station close by and the hotel has free parking, which was great. Shops, cafés and restaurants were all close by too. Breakfast was a continental help yourself, which is good. The hosts were very helpful, when we arrived at Melbourne.

Unfortunately, our room although was comfortable, it had no wardrobe or storage. Also it backed onto a railway line, which you could hear until late and early morning.

The room was comfortable and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed our stay. We like that there was a table and chairs in the room as we got takeaway one night and sat at the table to eat. The shower was warm and good water pressure.

Stairs, next time I will ask for a ground floor apartment as I don't do stairs well. Not the buildings fault just an observation for next time. The toilet roll holder sprang apart on me when I first went to use it and one of the towel racks did the same. We managed to put them back together but were reluctant then to use the towel rail.

It was very close to a train station so was super easy to travel two stops to the MCG. Free breakfast was great. Was in a nice suburb with shops near by and some beautiful historic homes in the area. Free parking at the rear.

Was a pleasant stay and was an old historic type building. The vanity in the bathroom didn't work well with hot water coming out when it was set to cold which might be expected from such an old building. The fridge was off when we got there and no milk. Smaller room.

Helpful staff. We arrived early and reception was closed. Fortunately we were able to access through an open door and get into reception where there was a phone to contact a member of staff. He was able to check us in so we could head off to the MCG in time for our T20 match.

We had to leave in good time and hoped to have breakfast before we left but even though it was supposed to start at 8am there was no sign of anyone or any breakfast. The place is rather dated and could do with a bit of renovation.

Always enjoy our stays at Toorak Manor. It is so convenient to public transport and a short walk to Malvern Road and all its cafes, restaurants and fashion shops. Everything at your doorstep. The hotel itself has a lovely homely feel. Very clean and full of charm. Mandy and Peter are the hosts and always welcoming.

Parking can sometimes be an issue if you stay in peak season. We fortunately have always got a park, but we normally stay during the week.
