Attika Hotel

Perfect location for the trains and buses, a good size apartment bed comfy and clean.

Cupboards dirty inside on arrival, kitchen not great for cooking. No service of apartment which would have been fine but after 6 nights you would have thought it would have been done. I would have happily hovered the apartment myself but nothing to Hoover with. After the 3rd night ants were a problem. We left the apartment most mornings early and didn’t get back until after 5 when there were no staff around. If anything I would suggest leaving cleaning items for guests if a service is not possible.

Attika Hotel is very well located in a trendy area of Northbridge which offers lots of cool cafes, restaurants and bars and is in close proximity to Perth's China Town and Perth Central railway station. The hotel is located on a relatively busy Newcastle Street however our suite room was fortunately located well away from the street frontage and was quiet at night which was great! Otherwise, the room facilities were clean and modern. Hotel management and staff were very friendly and accommodating and went to great lengths to address a couple of initial housekeeping issues.

A King sized bed would be a welcome improvement as we found the co-joined single beds to be quite small. Also, installation a sound and light proof partition above the bi-fold doors separating the living area and bedroom would improve the privacy and separation of the rooms.

Room was so spacious and there was milk and coffee provided. So many utilities and utensils if you were too cook. The air-conditioning was phenomenal and sound proofing off of the street was exceptional we went for a concert down the road and came back early even though you could listen to the music outside it was so quiet in the room.

The aircon in the actual room we slept off of the lounge area made a horrid grinding noise made it impossible to get a solid night sleep but that's not entirely the hotels fault because if no one tells them how could they fix it or perhaps it happened that moment. I have had worse sleeps that cost more money though

The apartment was a one bedroom apartment with combined living and dining room and kitchenette. The apartment is enough for a couple. The bathroom has a shower and washing machine with a separate basin for hand washing clothes. The bed is queen sized with comfortable mattress and pillows. The living and dining room has a sofa, coffee table and dining table with cushioned chairs. The kitchenette is well equipped for cooking with induction cooker and combi oven. There is also a toaster and coffee maker, which we did not use. The cleaning is once a week and we got new towels.

We faced Newcastle Street and the windows are not acoustically sealed so we could hear traffic noise. Thankfully, the traffic noise died out in the night and we could sleep well; this being Perth after all. We had to ask for hangers as the room had only one. We also had to ask for more toiletries as we stayed for a week.

It was right in the center of northbridge and to us, the place pointed to all the diverse food and cultural sites where we easily walked to and fro the museum (boola bardip), train station with rides heading for our Rottnest Island day tour plus pubs, shopping centres, 24/7 convenience stores down the street. Excellent comfort with their soft linens and fluffy pillows too! Small budget room, so it covered quite Good AC amidst the summer heat. Corner room gave us enough privacy for good sleep after long days out.

No pool or common lounge for gathering in large groups, although they had a restaurant down the ground floor outside reception facing the street. Otherwise, the lobby’s two seater couch was where we waited around with our luggages, as the Uber was on the way for our airport pickup.

We loved everything about Attika; upon arrival we were upgraded to a fully self contained studio despite only being 2 of us. The accommodation has parking on-site and the staff were very friendly. Location fabulous with excellent proximity to walk to the heart of Northbridge yet far enough away that we slept like babies. Had an early flight the next day and felt fabulous. We will be staying here again next time we’re in Perth, and for longer. Thank you Attika for the excellent experience. Kel and matty from Dunsborough

Nothing it was great

The location is great - it's a quick walk into Perth CBD or you can catch the free CAT service at the bus stop just around the corner from the hotel. The beds were comfortable and city noise (plus neighbour noise) was minimal during the evening. We had no issues getting a good night's rest. The room and linen was cleaned every 3-4 days, and they did a thorough job of cleaning.

The facilities were clean and comfortable, but worn - socket outlets worn to the point where plugs simply fall out, skirting boards pulling away from walls, windows that no longer latch closed.

I stayed in room 101 (or 110). The bed was great. I had ants in the kitchen and bathroom but no staff to communicate this directly to. When I tried to ring, I "spoke" with a non-human that didn't seem to pick up what I was saying.

Staff more available and present at front reception. Ants in kitchen and bathroom. Would have been nice with room service every second day. Was disappointing that I had to ask for it after 5 nights.

Location. Room size. TV in lounge & bedroom. Air con brilliant. Bed very comfy. Coffee machine great.

Lack of storage. Wardrobe was good but had to ask for more hangers. No chest of drawers even though there was a large unused space in bedroom. Absolutely filthy between shower partition & washer/dryer. Nowhere to put shower gels/soap in the shower cubicle. Went & bought a cheap one to hang over the cubicle. Dust behind tvs shocking. Ironing board flimsy. 3 dollars for a small bottle of water is a rip off. Change of WiFi password every week inconvenient.

Location, the layout of the room/space, staff was very helpful and rectified all issues. Tastefully furnished and clean. A great little French Patisserie is next door, and a few good coffee places around the corner. Easy walk to the city. Parking was also available on site 3/8 nights we stayed there, but there are plenty parking spots in the vicinity (free from 6 pm to 8 am). Room was serviced once during our stay, and that was sufficient. Simple and easy after-hours check in protocol.

There was no information about the facilities/apartment/services available. This also includes instructions for a TV and there were issues with both TVs in the room. Initial WIFI code was not correct. However, staff was prompt to answer all questions, provide solutions and organise the maintenance person to attend issues. Bathroom sink was not working properly, but there was a laundry sink, which we used most of the time. To have a little sachet of a laundry detergent would be helpful. It does look larger on the website, however we did not spend much time in the room so it did not matter.
