The location and the facilities

the entire place was riddled with threats of eviction if the thousands of rules of the owner were not followed. I get the need for instructions to the tenants here and there. Maybe try not phrasing them as threats. I'm sure most people will do what they are asked, particularly people who are used to the sort of communal living of motels. I get that rules are important but surely there must be a better way of going about it. Overall the place was ok though. Maybe I'm used to European motels that have more of a chill vibe.

the property felt super safe and was in a good location to the city centre. the facilities were great. kitchen and bathrooms were clean and our room was perfect (we booked a double room) there is also laundry facilities, a tv, and a great outside courtyard area. but the best part of the hostel is the staff. they are so super friendly. Charlie goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and happy. anything we needed, he was able to help us. if you’re looking for a hostel in Perth book this one!! thanks Charlie and the team :)

nothing! just wish we booked longer to stay!

Said here two times back in November. It’s a great place to stay. Outside of the CBD but only 10 minutes to get to the lively Northbridge area. Had a great time staying here on both occasions the owner Charlie is very welcoming and is a really nice guy. All the other staff are just nice and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We had a twin room and a bed in a dorm. Both where what you needed. Space for all your gear. plenty of plugs and ceilings fans for the hot summer days and nights. The place has lots of amenities, Apple TV, Xbox, Computers, Laundry and outdoor spaces. They do semi regularly free nights such as hot dog night and pizza night which are good as it brings everyone in the place together. The laundry service here is good can get busy at times though, like the shower. Need to time it well. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing major. At times the kitchen and inside communal areas can be busy and cramped. Likewise the showers and bathrooms. But if you time yourself right then you’ll be fine.

It feels like home at Shiralee Hostel ! The people who work there are very available, very nice and the people you meet there become real friends. It's a human-sized hostel, and it's really pleasant. All the spaces are well thought out, the living room is very pleasant, the kitchen allows you to cook together and to meet even more people. There is a good free breakfast too. I slept in a private room which was really nice, but the dormitories look just as comfortable. No problems with cleanliness, everything is cleaned very regularly and travellers generally take care of it. There are enough bathrooms to ensure that there are never any problems with showers when you are in a hurry. You are close to everything at Shiralee Hostel, the CBD is really only a 20 minute walk away and there are lots of bars, restaurants, etc around. I recommend Shiralee Hostel 100% !!!

We wanted to extend our stay by a week but the lack of accommodation cost us our place at the Shiralee Hostel and we had to leave, it's a pity that some long stays are not prioritized... but it was also up to us to trust the Shiralee Hostel and to book directly for a longer duration!

- The staff - The bathroom and the showers - The backpack has some nice extern spaces - TV, big couches, computers, videogames, a lot of games (chess, Uno, etc), Netflix, Disney, Prime - Food and drink dispensers - Possible to stay from 10pm to 6am with half the normal price

- Room a bit to little - No keys for the room - The main room is a little bit tight - I paid more by booking than people who didn't book online so go directly to this backpack to have the best price possible - I haven't seen any laying Kangaroo or beach there according to the pictures (jk)

All round an excellent experiance The owner Charlie, is most accommodating, welcoming ( as are the staff) who try exceptionally hard to find creative solutions to any issues. Excellent value ( which includes breakfast till 12pm), and the facilities (whilst not new ) are more than adequate. The overall atmosphere is extremely cordial and friendly, and it is perfectly situated, close to all amenities, and the Northbridge bustling lifestyle, of cafes ,bars and clubs, but in a quiet street. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Cheers.

A couple of hot/ cold showers, which fluctuated wildly in temp. But thats about it.

Many shops around, life is convenient, the staff is friendly, Charlie is very nice front desk and very helpful. There are some cooking oil and seasoning free to use, and free breakfast. The atmosphere in the lounge area is always cheerful. Lost of space to use a laptop.

Shower space is bit small, not easy to change clothes.

Very friendly situation, socialising is easy amd stimulated. Everyone wants chatting, sharing experiences, playing together. Very nice that people there are mostly workers, so they have a regular lifestyle. Nevertheless they are young on their 20s and 30s and love partying as well during the weekend.

Staff were brilliant and really made us feel welcome. Free breakfast of toast and spreads was really good. Cooking facilities were great. The Hostel had everything you could need. Thank you very much

WiFi didn't reach our room very well ( we were the furthest room away so it's understandable) but the WiFi in the common areas was good so it didn't bother us too much

Great location The staffs are nice, and I met some awesome people as well!

I slept in an 8-bed room, but there are only 6 lockers; also, I think it would be better with bedside lamps.
