Great Southern Hotel Perth

Everything was good except for the breakfast.

I was disappointed with the breakfast. The meal was of a standard l would have expected on a mine site in the middle of nowhere not in the a city with your rating.

The location is fantastic it is a bus ride or a quick walk to the city to the train station or to shopping centre. Such a cultural hub right next to the art / library/ museum yet has a quiet neighbourhood to relax in. I have used Booking.com and had to reschedule a few times due to flights and freight issues and the staff have been amazing at accommodating this . Value for money has been my key for choosing the hotel and I will definitely recommend and come back. The restaurant is great and I’ve noticed the hotel has an app for quick check in.

I noticed the budget queen room can vary depending on room and the air conditioning unit had dust on it, it totally would not handle a rental inspection. But for value it is great. I do feel the rooms need to be a bit easier for the cleaning staff to clean therefore being more hygienic for customer’s. The superior queen room was a lot cleaner. ( and only $10 or so more)

This hotel is a solid location for accessing most of Perth's central areas - everything is a walk away or a bus ride. Fantastic if you're budget-conscious and willing to navigate the streets on foot or with public transport. It's a bit of a no-fuss place but the staff were accommodating if I needed anything extra like toiletries. Believe that there's an in-house restaurant as well, but there's food around the area too if you're looking for something to eat around.

The room can be a bit wonky in terms of air-conditioning - took me a while to get used to it. For my room specifically, there's no window but I knew that ahead of time, just something to be aware of if you're booking. Walls are thin too so it might be annoying if you have loud neighbours.

Great location and beautiful style and look In lobby and very clean and professional presentation of the hotel and staff.

No window in room! Only hotel I have stayed without window and view and the protend skylight and shutters add confusion to tell you the honest truth I will probably choose another hotel over this one just for that factor as I felt so closed in by the whole room, but other than that is a shame because it has so much potential. Staff do their best but need more knowledge of surroundings or provide information when asked advice on area.

The rooms have gotten better at least those ones and the hotel has improved overall i think There was no bond charged to me which was good as I find hotels that now do charge one do this for no reason. Accor are the worst for that.

Parking getting out is pretty tight. staff sort of looked me over a couple of times I felt but overall we're professional and very good. The first person on the first day was very friendly "shakara"? Maybe. The hotel is much better than it used to be. Automatic doors etc are great. The hotel has never been terrible it's always been value and it treats people with decency. Id recommend it to people. Food is basic but fine for breakfast and the price is right. I think some hotels since Covid have gotten ahead of themselves and people are reconsidering travel. This hotel is priced fair. I think it is good overall maybe just a little more friendly but also it's not unfriendly.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Mine had a tub, which i really love. Had a smart tv that I connected to my private wifi and could watch netflix on. Aircon was cold and water heater had very hot water. The staffs are very friendly and helpful and i especially love the luggage storing facility they offer at no extra cost. The area is great! Easy to find halal food within the area and within reasonable walking distance or a couple of bus stops away.

Carpet was a little threadbare but its okay, kettle wasn't cleaned out so I didnt use it. The light above the desk wasnt working and one of the lights beside the bed would occasionally flicker. Nothing else!

Excellent - the Staff whilst Maintaining a Very Professional Standard were very Welcoming and Helpful, went out of their way to make One feel at home. The Location was very Central and Handy to the CBD and yet very quiet.... Excellent eateries in the area as well as the in house Restaurant certainly made Dining a pleasure. The Room was comfortable and very warm & cosy - spotless & well maintained. The Rate was very competitive and Great Value for the price. I will definitely be back.

Perhaps my one little note, was not being able to use the in house self service laundry till after 9am. This meant taking time out from the Day, and not getting out to explore the Beautiful City that is Perth - earlier....

The quality of service and staff professionalism with all the services and flexibilities and room quality and size of an upscale hotel for the price of a budget or just above hotel. Brilliant customer service and very patient flexibility coupled with the professionalism you'd like to see anywhere. Clean spacious rooms and unbeatable prices. Relaxed yet not rundown lobby and foyer with 247 come and go access. This is hands down my favourite place to stay in Perth. Located away from the main hotel strip it also enjoys a peace and quiet and slower pace yet a stones throw from anything you may want to do and or access.

There's nothing really I can find to fault about this place.

Great Value for money, central location with Parking available at a reasonable rate. Hotel was clean, automated check in was useful, staff pleasant, Dinning area looked good although i did not require it for my stay. 5 minute walk from Northbridge. Exactly what I needed.

I got probably their worst room, however it was very cheap, comfortable and worth the price. It is located against the carpark so you may hear tires on concrete if people are coming and going. This did not bother me for my stay but explains the price if you think it sounds too good to be true. The other rooms pricing was not that much more expensive that I would likely pay more next time.

The facilities and the decor of the rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. There are no windows in the rooms which made them a little dark.. Value for money is unbeatable. Bar and restaurant is excellent and good value. Location is great to explore the Newbridge area..

No windows in rooms. On site parking is not assured and is an additional cost, which is understandable given the very competitive accommodation costs. We found plenty of parking on the street.
