Van der Valk Hotel Antwerpen

The staff at the counter was very friendly and supportive! Great! The room was big with a nice view. Bath was modern and overall a great room. We hab dinner in the restaurant and the staff was friendly and the food good. The breakfast was as expected really good with a good variaty from bread to fruits and everything in between with a good coffe! We would come back!

The female bar tender told us that they would close 2 times then had time for a private chat and then took our order and then served the drinks, took €2,00 too much on the bill (we found out later)... and the bar did not close the 15 minutes later.

Hotel is nicely refurbished from my memory of many years ago (then under different management). Room was nicely fitted out and the bathroom was well done. Breakfast was truly excellent with anything that you may want for. We had a late dinner after arrival and despite it being just minutes before the kitchen would close, the food was quickly and deliciously prepared. The hotel disposes of a large carpark that comes for free for hotel guests.

Amenities in the bathroom could be better. While located on one of the major axes into the city, the immediate surroundings are purely suburban, residential without any interest.

Helpful staff. Very good selection at breakfast (although some buffet items seem to remain unwanted and dry for a while, not very attractive), sparkling wine, and convenient hours. Not central, but close proximity to a nice dining area, good menu in the restaurant downstairs. Good room size, free parking, sauna.

A bit too soft bed, very small swimming pool, tiny gym, generally limited spa facilities (Should not be your main target).

Excellent restaurant with great variety and quality of food, for dinner and for breakfast. Massive, comfortable twin room with a queen sized bed each, big bathroom and shower (no bath). Cycle storage in locked underground carpark available as well as massive off-street parking.

Nothing really - maybe could've made use of a bath in the room, but didnt need one!

Van der Valk hotel chains are great if travelling by car. They are normally close to the ring roads and provide great city hopping opportunities. Great breakfast, comfy and clean rooms, spacious free parking space.

Kind staff, clean and spacious rooms, good breakfast serving, fridge and a lot of accomodations

Got prevented from hosting people in the room (decent music/talk volume, no mess) after a certain hour. For a 3 night (a festival), that's something I expect to be able to do and always did since 2014. Quite some (festival) people consider another place now due to this policy

the welcoming entrance, beautiful decor, spacious and stylishly decorated bedroom and the rain shower. the view on the 7th floor towards the city is great too.

the bar staff seemed extremely inexperienced and unobliging. they wouldn’t make me a negroni because they said they didn’t have it - perhaps they should look at the ingredients first. I asked for a whiskey from their menu then, and they didn’t know it either. I had to point it out on the menu. I think some experience should be had, at least know the basic spirits. finally some were arguing with each other before me, the customer which is rather unprofessional.

Everything was great. Amazing selection for breakfast! Love love love their breakfast spread. Clean room. High shower pressure. Complimentary coffee and tea in room are good. Definitely will stay here again if we were in antwerp. Thanks van der valk team!

Very modern, clean and nicely decorated room with coffee machine. Peaceful stay despite the proximity of the highway, extremely comfortable beds, great bathroom with jasmine perfumed products, opportunity for buffet and drinks in the evening, free parking, easy access to the highway.

Machine coffee at breakfast was not as expected for a place like this. Would recommend the hotel to introduce freshly made coffees to be served at the table.

The very politely hotel personal helps one in the best way. We had superior room in 7th floor with a fantastic view over the town. We didn’t took breakfast, but the buffet looked great. The next tram station is approximately 10 minutes walk away and it takes the same time to get to the city center.
