Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place

Great location, rooms large and well appointed. the staff was extremely helpful

Purported to be air conditioned but the rooms we're pretty warm. The light switches are weird. The room lights control everything including the bathroom interior lights. I was suddenly standing in a pitch black bathroom while showering when my roommate turned off the room lights and they have the elevated European tubs. There was no way i could have exited safely. The changed payment systems overnight and charged the full costof the stay to my my card . We are now having to wait for a form to be sent to my friend and 5 business days for the charge to be credited to my account. Not cool, Marriott .

Great location! We had a room overlooking back courtyard which kept it really quiet. Our friends had an upgraded room overlooking Grand Place snd experienced crowd noise til middle of night.

Room cleanliness was ok. Found an earring lost by a previous guest among food crumbs that were nit ours either. Also found a phone charger on other side of bed so I am thinking vacuuming was not thorough. A couple of design flaws; difficult to get into shower/tub between counter and stationary glass panel. Closet hanging section displays clothes front to back so hard to see.

The location is very strategic, close to tourist attractions in Brussels, restaurants, and shopping centers. The reception staffs are very friendly and accommodating. The woman who handled our check-in, allowed us to do an early check-in because our room is ready and the hotel does not seem to be busy at that time. This is very helpful, so we can at least put our belongings comfortably, before exploring the city :) not only that, but she also gave us the late check-out facility, which is amazing! It makes things easier and more relaxed! The guy who handled our check-out is also very nice and friendly. The check-in and check-out processes are fast and efficient. I liked the restaurant food as well, I tried their steak, it's very delicious! The restaurant staffs in the restaurant are also very friendly.

Breakfast is too standard and minimal choice, but the omelet is delicious! Our room is fine, just a bit old. The bathroom is quite clean, but some broken facilities like the tissue box and the thing to open and close tub stopper, for instance. Also, the bath curtain is old and getting yellow, which is fine but not so nice to see. It is noisy in the room, especially at night! We can hear a lot of sounds coming from the outside of the building. I guess this is the risk of staying in the middle of the city center.

Hotel is located very close to the local tram - you can see literally see the hotel entrance from the escalator. The place is also located approx 5 minutes walk from the Grand Place and Saint Hubert is only a bit further. Mario the receptionist allowed us to check in at 11.00 am rather than wait until 15.00pm. The room was much bigger than I expect, very clean, abundant storage for luggage and clothes and had the usual amenities.

The lobby and general areas was under refurbishment during our stay but thats fine.

The property clearly needs some renovations and if fact I believe some of the floors were close for work of improvement while we were there. A couple of large tiles fall in the shower while I was taking a shower. What I like about it is that the staff acted very promptly, in a very professional and pleasant manner to resolve this issue. We were assigned immediately a new room and the stuff went out of their way to apologize and make us feel at home and well. I also love the attention of the concierge. He was nice and very helpful.

I was told that you are going through some serious renovations and as much as nobody likes to be around before or during renovation...I believe you are going on the right track already.

The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good.

There are three elevators in the hotel, and by the third day of our stay, all three were not working. However, guests were allowed to use the service elevators.

Friendly greeting, they stored our bags until the room was ready and gave good insight as towhere to eat and walking tour.

A little chaotic check-in, didn't receive all the details as to the amenities; we arrived early so the room was not ready, which was fine, but when we returned a few hours later at check-in time it still was about 20 minutes from being ready so we weren't able to access our room until after dinner as we were out doing tourist-y things.

Location was very,very central..But!! There is a real problem with homeless sleepers close to hotel, very sad . Great eateries/bars right on the door step AND awesome Patisserie on the street corner.

REALLY DIDN'T LIKE THE LACK OF CLARITY TAKING A RUB OF MY CREDIT CARD FOR 50 EURO'S AND THEN TAKING MORE PAYMENTS AT WILL!! I PARKED AT THE HOTEL @ 30 EURO'S A NIGHT X3 . SO, MAX SHOULD HAVE BEEN 90. £126.00 HAD BEEN TAKEN BEFORE THE PARKING. THIS S H I T ALWAYS ONLY HAPOENS WITH 4 STAR UPWARDS HOTELS . SORT IT !!!!

location is great, plenty of fantastic restaurants near by. Staff is cheerful and very helpful. Room is beautiful, clean, well laid out and bed very comfortable. Love that window opens for a breeze

Only thing I could mention is that it's not very sound proof. Lots of street noise but also can hear other room's doors closing- kind of shakes room

The staff is everything here, their amazing and provides everything of what is Marriott. The breakfast was amazing and the food at dinner was on point. Great.

The room is a little small, and I did not get the view I requested. The waiting staff at dinner was slow, unattentive, and gave us the perception that we were a boyher to them. The chief was amazing, great food, though. Otherwise amazing.
