Novotel Brussels City Centre

Great location Restaurant on site Small swimming pool but perfect for kids We had a family room, and it was very spacious The staff was very friendly and welcoming and gave my daughter some welcome toys/coloring set which she loved

The cot in the room was provided upon request but was a weird one - the height couldn't be adjusted nor a side could slide down to easily pick the baby up. The room was for three people but only two chairs were provided in the room. The restaurant had good food, but the choices were quite limited.

The hotel location is excellent, a short walk from Grand Place and 100m from St. Catherine’s Metro station. Our room was large with a nice view of Black Tower and St Catherine’s church. It was an easy walk to Central Station (probably 0.8km) which we used to visit Brugge. The room had a small refrigerator and safe. The bathroom was small and dark.

We tried the restaurant one evening when it was pouring with rain and it was very ordinary. There was construction work going on all around the hotel which made access difficult and it was noisy at times. You can’t blame the hotel for that though. The staff on reception spoke English very poorly which surprised me, given Brussels is such a cosmopolitan city. Btw, I’m from Australia, not HongKong as reported by Booking.com. Those turkeys appear incapable of correcting their error. 😁

Location is great very close to everything ( tourist attractions/ restaurants/malls/ shopping distric,etc...)yet on a very quite street. Room area is just amazing, cleaness is spectacular. Staff are very nice and courprative Looking forward to coming back again in 5 days.

Towels weren't changed although i put them on the floor 34 days into my stay. Dirty mugs taken but weren't replaced by clean mugs. Only 1 Stick to mix coffee was provided and once used was not given another.

Stay/Comfort - Great Hotel, we had no issues at all. We were a family of 4 with children in a quadruple and stayed in very comfortably. Room is actually better than the images provided in website and the single xtra beds for the quad are bigger in reality ( they look small in the website ) Location - couldn't ask for a better one. Gran place, metro and christmas market are right round the corner, also is dining , wide choice arourd for family friendly restaurants Staff were very friendly, good english speaking and ready to help out . Breakfast- There is everything you want from cooked English to continental in abundance, was perfect . Value - I've stayed in less expensive hotels with a higher grading, but that's the price to pay for a spot on location Overall - would choose this same hotel for another stay in Brussels.

monica at the desk was excellent and let us check in early when we arrived well before our check in. it really was a big help as we had got an early flight and have place to put our bags and wash up was just brilliant for us.

i tried to order a taxi on leaving hotel to take us to train station but the staff on desk said they would and we waited for a while but when i asked again they said taxis wont do short routes like that. if they told us this at the start, it would have been a lot more beneficial to us.

Location was excellent. Can't be better. Restaurants, shops, metro and train station a few minutes walk away. Grand Place was also so close. Breakfast was amazing. Ample choice with fresh fruit, a granola station, gluten free option, freshest breads and bakery & English breakfast. Super. The restaurant, gym & pool looked great too, pitty we didn't make use of those facilities. There was a kids gaming zone too for them to chill out. The room had an iron board and iron too which was so convenient. The rooms were spacious too. There was a supermarket around the corner too.

The weather (end of October) was warm at night but unfortunately the air-conditioner was not cooling as it was set on fan and we couldn't change it. We couldn't keep the windows open because of all the noise outside. The mattresses need to be changed as they are past their use by date. Had we gone during the colder months, we probably would not have complained about the warm rooms.

Location was excellent and it was a big room. We liked having a mini fridge to store a few of our own bits. Staff were very nice and helpful We didn't use the Gym or the Pool but did have a look and it looked great.

Not quite enough shelving space; for example only one side table that could be a bedside table. My husband had a micro shelf to put his stuff on next to the bed! Toilet seperate to the bathroom (which is usually fine, but it didn't have a sink in there)

The hotel room was really clean, and the bed was super comfy. The hotel was right in the city centre, so everything was in walking distance. There were lots of restaurants and shops around, and many big tourist attractions within a 5-10 minute walk from the property. The pool & gym were also great, too.

We paid for breakfast one morning which was €20 each, however I wouldn’t recommend this as the options were limited and it wasn’t worth the money in my opinion.

Everything was perfect except the room service. please look at my comments on room service to understand how you could improve customer experience.

Room Service - twice, they took our order and failed to deliver. Later they said its too late and kitchen has closed. this is when the order was placed through their online app by 5-6 PM CET. And they told us 'you should have called us' to remind us for this before the kitchen closed. I think this is unprofessional. But to anyone reading this, I would say book the hotel and don't think twice.

The staff were very diligent and efficient even though it was a very busy day for them. They helped to make everything as easy as possible. Good hotel location very central and convenient with shops, metro and bus stop nearby.

The two rooms I booked were next to each other but they were not exactly as requested as not connecting. And issue with the door accessing the other room (hence not the one I was given), as though without handle so access should not have been possible, the (extra) safety latch was broken. It just seemed careless in terms of maintenance.
