Holiday Inn Express Brussels-Grand-Place, an IHG Hotel

Great location. New hotel so all clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast was 'ok' but was included and sufficient for the morning. They did have a car park which we used for the stay

Be careful of the car park. The entrance is VERY tight.

Convenient Central location. Comfortable rooms, a mini refrigerator could have helped though.

Charging €1.75 per day for an adapter. C'mmon, atleast for those staying 4 nights, a good complimentary gesture would have been appreciated. Paying almost€700 for the stay and then, while €7 doesn't kill, doesn't leave a good taste either. A deposit would have been appropriate.

Great value for the price, given the location, quality of the facilities avaliable as well as the breakfast included. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The building was mostly quiet I wanted everything to be easy, with no hassle, and for the most part it was just that.

The AC turns on automatically when you place the card in the slot to turn the power on, which is a bit annoying. The windows don't open all the way, which is understandable, but this also means you can't easily air out the room, and a lot of dust can accumulate in the air. Vent in the bathroom doesn't shut off, which can get a bit annoying at night. All minor issues of course.

I posted a question regarding transfer from the airport trough booking.com. The question was not answered.

I enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Express. - Staff at the hotel was really nice (including staff at reception, breakfast serving staff, cleaning staff) - Brussels Central station is around 1 km away. One can easily walk to the station in around 15 minutes and enjoy the views of the city. - The entire area near the hotel has a lot of options for restaurants, shopping, etc on both sides of the street. - There were some good breakfast options in the hotel. - Wifi was good at the hotel - Rooms were decent - There is air conditioner in the rooms

Things to improve: - I really suggest to have more varieties in breakfast, for example, scrambled eggs. - There was a spider in the bathroom ceiling. - We opted for early checkin as we were really tired. We got the hotel room at 11 am for 50€ (usual checkin time is 3 pm), which was a bit pricey and can be reduced a bit in my opinion. - Hotel could provide umbrella for guests as the weather changed a lot during our stay and it was raining quite heavily but the staff was so kind they gave us their own umbrella.

Excellent location - walking distance to all main city attractions. Metro stop very close to hotel as well. Nice and helpful staff. Very clean premises, comfortable beds, good breakfast.

Although the location is quiet, our room was a bit noisy late in the evening as there is a close-by restaurant. The rooms are small. No gluten-free options for breakfast. Same breakfast every day; no variety; eggs only boiled. Still, enough choice for a good start of the day:-)

Pretty modern clean and a quiet hotel. The stuff are lovely, and their recommendations upgraded my trip. The location is awesome, right in center of the everything you desire for. The room is very functional, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast offers homemade freshly baked croissants and they are absolutely delicious. I enjoyed every second of my stay. I wish I could have prolonged my vacation and enjoy more of the hotel. I would definitely come back again when in brussel. Highly recommend !!

It took less than 10 minutes to walk from the Holiday Inn Express to the Grand Place so we found the location excellent. We used the De Brouckere metro station when arriving and leaving with luggage and even the 71 bus to De Brouckere on one of our travels. The area was quiet but with a number of good restaurants nearby. We quite enjoyed eating at the Ethiopian restaurant Toukoul and having drinks and snacks at the African inspired Cafe Beguin. The hotel itself includes a complimentary buffet continental breakfast with cereal, danishes, meats, cheeses, bread and hot hard boiled eggs. There were also options to purchase snacks, light dinners and drinks. The sitting areas were cheerful and inviting. We got to the hotel 3 hours early and they were able to accomodate us in one of the two rooms they had already available. Staff were always friendly and assisted us with directions to sights. The elevators and air conditioning worked well. The rooms themselves are a little small (14m) but had almost everything we needed. There were plentiful charging and USB spots, the bedside lights were innovative, bright but tucked away neatly. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and had good water pressure.

The only caveats was there was a lack of storage space and only a small bathroom bin.

The room was clean and large with modern facilities, a large comfy bed and excellent blockout curtains. It was a hot summer while we were there, so the air-conditioning was great! The location is excellent with a short walk to the centre of Brussels, where there are lots of restaurants and bars. Onsite parking at a cost.

Breakfast was limited and basic and on the 3rd day the 2 coffee machines that are in the dining room were not working, so there was no coffee for breakfast.

Well kept, modern hotel. Maybe it’s been renovated recently as everything seems very new! We kindly received a phone call from the hotel as we boarded our flight checking what time they were to expect our arrival. Check in process easy. Our room was spaced well enough for 2 people but not 2 suitcases. Decent sized bathroom and good shower. Daily housekeeping replaced our towels even when not requested. Plenty of restaurants/shops/bars/cafes nearby but Grand Place is also an easy 10 min walk away so good location.

Breakfast was a bit basic as was only cereal / toast / croissants / ham / cheese / juices / coffee but a good start to the day. It seems the hotel does charge for water but we had no problem refilling our bottles daily at breakfast.
