The property is perfectly situated between the town of Banff and the best places to visit/hike in Banff National Park. There is a shuttle service that picks up and drops off directly at Baker Creek so you don’t have to worry about parking at Lake Louise or Moraine Lake. We stayed in a cabin that faces the rock beach and river so our view was beautiful and the sound of the river was very peaceful. Everything is provided for fires in the wood burning stove in the cabin and in the fire rings along the river. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom/shower is a nice size for a small cabin. The kitchenette is well stocked with most things needed for cooking and dining. The wifi worked well during our stay.
The restaurant in the property burned down awhile ago and hasn’t been rebuilt. We were notified in advance so we were prepared with groceries and we drove into the town of Banff for dinner one night. There is a small shop off of the reception area but we found the selection to be quite minimal. In the cabin, there was a sauce pot and a stock pot but no sauté or frying pan.

We had so much fun staying in a log cabin in such a beautiful setting. We enjoyed simple barbecues each evening and then lit one of the fire pits down by the stream and made s'mores (though the Brits among us decided toasted marshmallows are better than smores) This accommodation was one of the highlights of our trip - would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Lake Louise
The shower (over the bath) was draining really slowly and after the second night stopped draining altogether. <y husband looked at the plughole and found it was totally blocked with hair - Eew! Once unblocked the water ran freely but surprised the cleaners hadn't noticed this

Excellent facility and amazing staffs. This was the second time to stay with Baker Creek Basecamp. I love the cabin and the fire pits. I also enjoy the peace and beautiful view of the creek which is right behind the cabin. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and I will come back again in the future!
There are always some misquotes or bugs around, especially in the summer time. I totally understand this because it is the nature. But it would be nice if they provide some bug spray in the cabin, or maybe some environment friendly tools to keep the bugs away.

So glad we found Baker Creek! It was a last minute change to our schedule when I came across these cabins while googling..we had really wanted a wood cabin experience while completing our lap of the Rockies but hadn't been able to find anything suitable. We were so keen to stay at Baker Creek we actually cancelled other accomodation, losing our deposit there, just for a chance to stay the night and experience it. It was everything we wanted and more! We wish we could have stayed longer. The cabins and grounds are picture-perfect, cosy and comfortable, well equipped and we loved the fires and seating by the river to toast marshmallows at night. I would love to see this place in the snow! Staff were amazing also, so accommodating, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be recommending Baker Creek to any family and friends who manage to make it across from Australia
Nothing! Everything was perfect

Beautiful location! Loved how close we were to lake Louise area. Perfect location to access the lake Louise/moraine lake shuttle and to travel the icefields parkway. Secluded and private - perfect since Banff and Lake Louise were so busy! Staff were all very friendly. Chairs by the river were idyllic - nice to read a book and listen to the sound of the river
please please provide utensils in all rooms. We were given coffee (delicious) but didn’t even have a spoon to measure it. Room wasn’t cleaned on one of three the days we stayed - not sure why. No dining on site, which we were well aware of …. limited options for restaurants nearby but we were able to make some reservations and enjoyed meals at Bill Peyto’s cafe, Deer Lodge and The Station Restaurant. Coffee and lunch from Laggans in Lake Louise village!!

It was a very private location. Situated right beside a creek in which they put fire pits filled with wood and chairs for your evening pleasure. The restaurant had a very talented chef with amazing food and very helpful and friendly staff! We loved it so much that we asked for another nights stay there after only being on the property for an hour. This was a true jewel!
The bed mattress wasn’t very comfortable. It could stand to be replaced. It is also located near the train tracks but we were awake both times that the train went by. That didn’t bother us at all. All in all the mattress would be our only complaint.

Truly stunning room, immaculately clean and everything of the very best quality (except the drawer front in the bathroom, which just fell off randomly as wasn’t fixed on). Beautifully built cabin with the softest leather sofa, cosy fire and hot spa bath. Bed was gloriously comfortable. had a great night’s sleep.
The remote location needs to be more clearly stated PRIOR to booking. I didn’t drive and (although the experience of staying there made up for it) with no public transport or accessible taxi, I faced a 3hr walk on foot to the nearest village (Lake Louise Village) which was exhausting with my luggage on my back. The address says Lake Louise so I assumed it was actually in Lake Louise, not 12.5km away. Also (with no restaurant facilities currently) I wasn’t very impressed being charged 30 CAD for a microwave meal and a frozen ice cream, in their gift shop. Lastly, although the beautifully made recommended excursion guidebook in the room was lovely, staff do not book them for you and the 15% discount advertised (as a Baker Creek guest) is out of date and apparently no longer applicable.

Amazing experience of being in a cabin in the woods. The fireplace and jacuzzi were fabulous. Highly recommend for couples. Also had a journal in the cabin where couples who stayed wrote something. Amazing touch.
Unfortunately it's not so obvious when booking that not all cabins have a kitchen. You really need to read the fine print. So we made the mistake and had our cabin without a kitchen. And given there's no restaurant nearby we were a bit out of options. Thankfully there was a bbq onsite which we were able to use.

The location was absolutely stunning. From the Bow Valley Parkway drive to the creekside fire pits and from the beautiful balcony views to the jacuzzi bath, we loved every detail! The room was beautifully appointed and included details of all the people who had made the furniture/paintings etc. The guestbook had really thoughtful details on local hikes, places of interest and activity ideas which were really useful. We loved the local coffee and tea too and was a really nice touch after a long day.
Nothing at all, this place is perfect!

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It makes such a difference. We'd been on the road for a month and you get to really appreciate a warm welcome. The accommodation was wonderful. Spacious, comfortable, practical (kitchen area, large sofa and chairs, coffee table, log fire), huge bed, balcony, beautiful location in the woods yet just off the road. And a laundry room on site! (Always appreciated). 15 mins from Lake Louise.
The restaurant had burnt down and was being rebuilt so no formal dining available. Having said that, the little onsite shop/cafe was excellent, providing breakfast goods and take away dinners which could be heated in the room (microwave provided) and snacks and drinks. They'd really worked out how to provide the customer with what they'd need.
