Sahara Courtyard Inn Osoyoos

after reading a lot of reviews before checking in I was very sceptical and concerned. once we arrived at the hotel I was ready to turn around but that was before I checked in . once we entered our room we were very surprised . it shot way past what we anticipated . it was obviously renovated at some point recently as our fridge and oven and such was brand new . it was clean and the beds are comfy . the courtyard was perfect to eat and hang out but also to use the pool . big enough kitchen to cook food ..We loved having breakfast outside in the courtyard for sure .

the toilet was obviously not actually attached to the ground and our room seemed to have an ant problem so note to self .. Don’t leave crumbs anywhere also the bed had very thin sheets but the hotel did offer more blankets and such so it wasn’t too bad after all .

As a first time visitor to this property, I wasn't sure what to expect and I came away thinking it was a charming spot that I will return to for future stays. The pool was great, and even though the place is very much family friendly, with young kids, we able to get in some quality pool time. The patio tables were great for playing cards, and the kitchenette was really handy. The staff were great, and I could hear that some families come back year over year for a full vacation stay. We were only to stay two nights.

The courtyard was beautiful with flowers and space to relax. Pool was perfect temperature and clean. Courtyard kept up nicely . Laundry, ice BBQ and recycling area a great bonus. In room air conditioning worked great, bar fridge in room was clean and cold! Comfortable beds!

Not a complaint however locked storage for water toys, paddle boards etc would definitely be a bonus ! With so much sand an in room broom would be appreciated.

It was a very nice we liked our room it was as quiet and close to the Sage Pub which had excellent food. The room Was very clean and a decent size. If we were here a week I would rent one with a kitchen.

Paying for my pet. We never leave our room where you see pet hair. When a property says pet friendly cost should not be involved We have stated at property all across Canada and pet was included in price only a few weren’t. Where you had to pay extra for your pet.

This was a little gem. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a warm afternoon the day we arrived, so it was lovely to cool down in the swimming pool. We only stayed the one night. What we saw of Osoyoos was very pleasing. We would highly recommend the Dimond Seafood and Steakhouse. The baby rack of ribs and the New York steak are very nice.

It's not so much as a 'didn't like', but it would be nice to have bath sheets instead of bath towels.

Excellent location. Clean, affordable room.

Booking on net. We are both seniors. There was no mechanism by which we could ask if there was a senior's discount when booking on line. It was difficult to contact the Motel directly by phone. It would seem that this is perhaps a deliberate strategy?! Phone number provided links one, -- after frustrating delays--, to an answering service "manned" by an agent in some distant location who speaks poor English. I'm sure booking on line in such a manner is convenient for the motel. It is, however, not convenient for the customer, I'm equally sure, however, that this this consideration and this comment will not affect the motel's policy.

I was so shocked and pleasantly surprised when we arrived. I feel like the photos do not do this place justice. My family was only staying one night as we were travelling through to another destination but this was no accident. I feel like I found a hidden gem in a magical oasis! We booked a suite which had two queen beds, a pullout sofa, a kitchen, and door with patio and pool access. I highly recommend the suites. We loved it so much that we decided to extend our trip by a day just so we could stay here on our return. Everything was very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly. There's a couple of BBQ's in the courtyard as well to cook food. The pool was excellent and there's even a little wading pool for the little kids. There is lots of parking directly outside most of the rooms. The lake is only a few minutes walk as well as lots of restaurants and a pub to choose from. This is my new favourite place to stay in Osoyoos. I can't see us staying anywhere else.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

The front desk person was the owner and he was very effecient and friendly. He was more than willing to be of assistance in providing information about the area which was more than helpful. The room and the property was surprisingly nicer than I thought it would be for the money. The courtyard which is the pool and hot tub area is very clean and well kept. It is also much more attractive than I expected. There is lots of seating including lounge chairs and chairs with tables for eating in comfort by the pool. There ard lots of flowers and plants to beautify the area too including the front area of the entrance to the hotel. And the location is outstanding! It is a block and a half away from rhe beach and across the street from the other lake and park and walking path along the lake. As well, it is fairly close to the downtown within walking distance. There is also an amusement park just a couple of blocks down. I would definitely stay there again when I go back to Osoyoos. It would be my first choice for the money and what you get. Oh and the parking area was beautiful paved and well kept and free. The owner takes pride in his property as he is always out watering the flowers and generally looking after the hotel morning and evening.

The bed could have been a bit more comfortable and more bedding. But for the price I can't really complain.

The room was updated nicely and it was tastefully decorated. The one thing I was able to do was hang things that would have to happen in the bathroom. The TV was a nice size not small and well situated in the room. The bed had a good variety of pillows for me to choose from. Overall a nice room.

The one larger cabinet was great but it did bang against the wall which was a small thing but when it happened it was a bit of a shock. Wifi you had to login into their systems and it wasn't truly an open wifi experience.

Great location, steps away from the beach is lovely! Love the court yard vibe! Local pub next door. Friendly staff. Allowed for an hour early check in.

The room I stayed in the bed rolled into the middle so the mattress is a bit warn out. The pool was great but it was very cold considering that it was heated. I think a. But more heat would help.
