Blackcomb Lodge

The management of Blackcomb lodge was very helpful and accommodating. We had a lot of family (14 people) visiting and we got rooms next to each other. The rooms are large with a downstairs king bed; pull out sofa and a full kitchen. The location cannot be beat! You park your car and don't have to use it again! You can walk to everything you need and you can throw your boots on in your room, grab your skis and walk down the main drag of downtown whistler right to the gondola.

There is ski storage at the hotel is so convenient but they need to work on better security. Our rented poles got taken (probably by accident). Thankfully the hotel management covered the cost of replacement (which was$25). The hotel is ramping up on kitchen tools (due to a covid restriction), and they could stock the rooms better. That said, when we asked for additional plates, pans etc, they were great at providing them.

The location was perfect. The room is perfect for a family.

The rooms are not well sound proofed, it’s easy to hear everything in the halls and in the rooms around our room. They only give you one room key and everything is locked.. I’m sure it’s because there are many who are not guests passing through but we found it very difficult as a family to get in and out and the front desk questioning our every move.. just odd. The check out was earlier than I expected.. our experience has usually been 11am but it was 10am so we felt rushed with 3 little people in tow. we were hoping to grab breakfast in the village as there wasn’t breakfast onsite and then come back and bundle up for a full day out but we had to bundle up outside by our vehicle instead.

Location was central and front desk staff were friendly. Room had a great aspect, overlooking the village. The bed was so comfortable and the block out curtains were good. Heating worked well for the -8 degrees at night.

Because we didn't book directly with the hotel we had to wait till 4pm for check in. As the bus got in around 11am this was a long time to wander the village. We were advised that If we had booked directly with the hotel then a room would have been ready immediately we arrived. Whilst I understand the manager's viewpoint it did take the edge off a little.

The hotel was clean , room spacious and plenty of toiletries. Receptionist wasn’t very welcoming, but other staff were very pleasant It is situated right in the heart of whistler. Cannot comment on the facilities as we arrived early evening and checked out in the early hours to catch a ferry Would stay here again

The hotel room was spacious and well-equipped, with a galley kitchen. The room was too 'open plan' with a mezzanine and bed in the living room / kitchen, but otherwise it was cosy, comfortable and as described.

The kitchen needed a better clean and we had to ask for some more towels, which were provided (on the 2nd prompt). A

Right next to the gateway loop, very handy if you get the bus from Vancouver. Very nice room, spacious and comfortable. We even had a coffee maker, full fridge and microwave, including full crockery set, which was a nice surprise.

Pillows were old and lumpy, these need to be replaced. Check-in was 4pm too which is really late. We weren't very happy with that.

This hotel is the best Whistler stay I have had in years. I have been coming to Whistler with my family for years, but this year I stayed in Blackcomb Lodge, which is right on the Whistler village, and the service of this lodge was excellent. The owner of this Lodge, Benny is a fantastic host, I asked him about charging my TESLA, and he made it happen right away at his property, even though he does not advertise a TESLA charging station. The new pool/hot tub/sauna was excellent, and we as a family had a great quality time using this fantastic amenity. I would highly recommend this place to all the families. Thank you, Benny, for your amazing support in having our vacation the best ever.

Very nice stay. It was very conveniently located, the rooms were well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. Room was warm and cozy upon entry, which is a great thing when you're coming in from the cold. We couldn't get a reservation at a local spa, so it was really nice that there was a pool, hot tub, and sauna available for use onsite!

While the rooms were quiet, remember that you're in the center of the village, so people on the street below can be rowdy and make a lot of noise. Not the fault of the facility--just something to be aware of.

the location was perfect. We arrived by bus from Vancouver and from the drop off point we could see the hotel. The room had cooking facilities, a kettle and a toaster and a decent size fridge. There was a well stocked grocery store right opposite the hotel. We were pleased to be able to shop locally and prepare our own food when we wanted to. it was a nice stroll to the gondola’s, shops and Olympic village. The staff were all lovely and we have really enjoyed our stay.

Nothing to dislike.

The location is awesome! We got upgraded, and the room was clean and exactly what we needed. I think it is on the pricey side for what it is, however, that is Whistler for you!

The parking permits are only till 3pm. When we checked out, one of us had to come back around 2:30 to move the car, which was annoying.
