Pangea Pod Hotel

In regards to my accommodation: I really appreciate that my request for a lower level pod that I didn't have to climb in was honored. I'm a frequent toilet visitor during the night so climbing in and out of a pod while half asleep multiple times could have been interesting to say the least :) Breakfast was great. Good options and a great way start to the day rather than having to go out to find something. In regards to dinner I did not dine at Pangea as there were not options that suited me. It would be nice if there was a soup option available.

The location is exceptional and exceeded my expectations. Walking out the front door you are dead-center of Whistler Village and only a few steps away from all the gondolas and ski lifts. There's also a little fan to create white-noise inside of each bunk--this definitely exceeded my expectations and made it very easy to get high quality sleep each night. And I loved that quiet hours are observed and are strictly enforced. The young staff members are a delightful bunch to chat with; all the staff go above-and-beyond to help you however they can. This place really exceeded every expectation I had.

The mezzanine bunks can get a little toasty in the summer. And be mindful that you are staying a "hostile" type set-up, so some guests can be completely oblivious to the amount of noise they're making in the mornings and at night... but generally speaking, everyone was mindful of each other's personal space and the majority of the guests were fun and friendly people to hang-out with.

The pods are a nice upgrade from the standard open hostel bed in a dorm room. Gives you privacy and no loud squeaking mattresses as dorm room mates climb bunk beds. I thought the curtain "doors" would be weird, but the pods are in rooms with key entry only to those in your room. So not as unsafe/open as I had feared. The pod bed was firm as it was basically a mattress on a board - great for me, but maybe not so much for those who like a softer mattress. The duvet and linens were good quality and clean. The quiet hours were pretty well respected. Location was great as it was right in the heart of Whistler Village.

Would be nice to have big lockers in the pod rooms instead of all of the big lockers on the main floor. And as someone else pointed out, there is a ridiculous level of communication from Pangea for your stay - my one overnight stay resulted in 9 emails and 4 text messages. Not a real problem ... but mostly why?

Didn't have breakfast at the property, so cant comment. I would love the property to have a little hostel area with some microwaves etc, so you have the option to cook your own food as its expensive to eat out every day, but the little cafe in the hostel is AMAZING and they look after you as you're staying there. The staff were so friendly and helpful, its a great place to meet people, I met and Snowboarded with nearly everyone that was staying in G Dorm, we all went out together too! Will definitely be back and highly recommend to all single traveler's or couples. Ideally if you have 16 couples and you had the whole dorm, it would be the best trip.

Fabulous place, scrumptious clean. Staff excellent, helpful and friendly. Bed/pod size and space great. Very comfortable. Big locker for personal gear. Enclosed bins so no smell. Highly recommend

Down side. No access to hot water to make a drink, but not a problem as staff will fill flask . Nowhere to eat own food except in bed area.

I was pleased to find this hotel at short notice; I booked late and was pleased to be given a pod, but surprised it wasn't busier! It was very quiet in the pod and was not disturbed at all by any other guests. There was a good selection of food for breakfast, and the coffee is very nice.

Slight delay with booking and there seemed problem with payment, hence why I went through booking.com. Be aware that if you are looking to book in person they do not accept contactless payments.

Location could not be better. The bar and the roof terrace are awesome, and I was surprised they weren't crowded. It's a great alternative to a hostel, considering the price is basically the same, but you get more privacy and comfort, while still having plenty of opportunity to socialize if desired. The shared toilets and showers were perfectly clean and well maintained throughout my stay.

As other have mentioned, the pods get pretty warm, at least in summer. The built-in fan is nice for white noise, but not much else. One night someone left the balcony door open, which helped.

It’s in the middle of everything. It only took short walks going to the bus loop, restaurants, market and shops. The staffs are all friendly, I felt comfortable and safe in my pod and on top of that I asked to get the lower pod if possible because of my height and they actually made it happen which is amazing! Will definitely come back! ☺️

I wish there’s a room where there’s a couch and little arcade game stuff where we can chill in our pj’s

The hotel location is perfect. Right in the heart of the village. The restaurant is trendy and fun, very easy to meet people too. It has a bit of a hostel vibe with hotel qualities. Surprisingly the pods are quite spacious and quiet.

The only real downside, is that from 1-4pm they close the rooms for cleaning so you cannot access them. Its a little bit annoying as the slopes close at 3pm so you have to wait around to have a shower. More excuses to have a beer.

Prime location, with an interesting layout. The Patio and Living Room were pretty cool common areas/bars. The pods/dorms were really clean which was great considering it’s a hostel. Other guests were pretty respectful about keeping quiet and the blackout curtains worked well.

Our pod got really warm and the fan didn’t really do much to bring in cold air. Check-in staff was clearly disinterested in helping us out. Her attitude let us know she’d much rather be anywhere else and hearing her say “only 7 more hours” to her passing coworker only confirmed that.
