Rodd Moncton

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel for our first time in Moncton at the end of our road trip to the Maritimes. Tina, the receptionist was so welcoming and friendly. She was able to give us a free room upgrade, also gave us a quick orientation to the city which was helpful. The hotel itself is on the end of Main Street beside the park and allows a nice walk along the river and Main Street itself. Our room was clean and we liked that there were additional wall mirrors, extra shelving in the washroom and a heat lamp (although not used during our summer stay). Breakfast included were varied and good, no complaints, the space was very clean as well.

Only concern was the noise we could hear from the hallways; you are able to hear from your room, when guests are talking in the hallway. Despite that, I would likely stay again.

Booking cancelled my room for some strange reason, only for me to be notified upon arrival. However the Rodd staff saved the day and had a room for me. Their service is great, but Booking royally messed up in this event.

That I've been using this app for years, with the same card, and last night is the first time Booking canceled a room on me because I have the exact same name as a guest who's stayed there before. The explanation was Booking felt that some fraud could be happening and even launched an investigation. Never has this happened. I'm still insulted by all this and am reluctant to use it again.

The location is right downtown next to a park which is nice. Bed was comfy room was big staff were nice

The breakfast sandwiches were inedible. Just don't offer anything if that's breakfast. Tv should have an HDMI cable

The Hotel Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the racial and cultural diversity of the staff. The room was adequate in size. We enjoyed River Front park on the Petticodiac river. Overall, our stay was very good.

We weren't aware that our room would be facing Main St. It was busy and too noisy! One of the staff members serving at breakfast seemed quite unhappy and not friendly ( no smiles). There was an unsitely mark on the inside of the bathroom door.

Location is amazing! Right on the tidal bore, board walk, close to amenities and the beautiful city of Moncton and cute pubs and restaurants! The staff is very welcoming, and Tina at check in was extremely helpful and thorough. She gave us some great recommendations for dining out into town and we went to have a nice dinner at the Pump House, only a few blocks away from the hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed and very clean. They are bright and have all of the amenities your need. Great TV, lots of channels, good size fridge, good size bathroom. Good A/C. Ample parking, free with surveillance cameras. They offer free breakfast in the most spacious, bright and modern space, beautiful windows with beautiful natural light. The breakfast selection is absolutely amazing! And the staff was so nice and welcoming, quickly cleaning the tables and refilling food trays - we were quite impressed!

The lobby could need a little facelift, as it has a "motel feel" rather than a "hotel feel". I would fence out the parking lot (giving it a more "safe" feel (although we were happy to know there was surveillance cameras) and I would repave the lot.

It is a good hotel, well located, comfortable and equipped room, with breakfast, not like the old ones with fruits and cakes, but they try to vary it every day.

I travel for work and had to extend my visit, when I requested it, the cost of my room was more than double because it was the weekend, the lady who was attending me tried to give me a discount, but the supervisor at the time did not let her. It seems illogical to me that they prefer a guest for two nights who pays more, than one who stays for two weeks and pays a reasonable price, because the weekend price is overrated

Nice hotel, three main positive things stood out: (1) It's really close to the river for Tidal Bore viewing, you can really just step out of the hotel and you can see it! And it gives you access to the nice riverside trail. Tidal Bore times are posted right at the reception. (2) It has a reasonably nice pool (although it's outdoors and pretty cold, could be warmer), (3) provides a really nice breakfast (had a pancake-making machine!)

Loved the cozy room, the comfy king size bed and the very clean sparkling bathroom. Also liked the security of the hotel always being locked so random people cannot enter during the day or night.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like, I just found the check in process a little time consuming and the front desk staff seemed distracted but were still friendly. The elevator was painfully slow but at least it worked!

Very comfortable beds. Med soft. Breakfast included. Awesome location, great view of the river and the on-site swimming pool if on the back side of the building. Lovely boardwalk runs along the river too. Everything was nice and clean. Signs stating under renovation, no reno dust anywhere. Very close walking distance to shopping, eating, and drinking., museums, parks, etc. 8 minute drive to a huge Cineplex. 15 minutes drive to Magic Mountain and Magnetic Hill. Loved the Magntic Hill Zoo (bring change to hand feed some of the animals).

Very clean, very attractive room. Everything very functional. Location. Very close to great dining establishments & waterfront. One staff person, in particular,( manager?) very helpful, informative.

No hot breakfast (yet) Paper bag breakfast not great. (underwhelming).
