Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa

The view of the falls was absolutely amazing from our room, it was like an immersive experience and the spa bath was great too.

I informed the hotel months in advance that we were staying in the hotel as part of our honeymoon and I was informed that they would do their best to make it extra special. When we arrived I was disappointed that there wasn’t any recognition of our honeymoon at check-in or in our room, I went down to the front desk to let them know in case it was an oversight but the person I spoke to was dismissive and said they knew nothing about it. It definitely left a little bit of a dampener but we didn’t let it ruin our stay and just spent more time out and about instead of at the hotel. I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary but even a card or fruit basket would have been something.

The view from the rooms was outstanding and I loved having the spa bath. The breakfast was good. Omelettes were OK, could have had a better selection of cold meats, smoked salmon etc. for the price for the rooms we booked I would have expected breakfast to be included and maybe a separate breakfast area for the superior rooms? The service from our staff was very good.

As above, the breakfast was quite pedestrian. We had a spa bath in our room but no bubble bath. I had booked two rooms and the guy checking us in told me I only had one room and it took a lot of stress before we finally found the second room and they were 5 floors apart even though I had asked for them to be close together.

“breakfast included” only covers 2 adults per room even though the room slept 4 adults. The waitress at the breakfast restaurant challenged my tip and demanded that I increase it to a minimum of 18% of the total (including the amounts that were “included”) despite the service being buffet style, saying it was optional but if I didn’t tip 18% her costs for renting the table wouldn’t be covered. It was an unexpected outlay on an already expensive trip.

Amazing views from the room. The lounge was has giant windows looking at the fall but even the hotel is on a hill the angle of view is not so clear as well as the view is partially blocked by trees. If you chose to stay here you have to get the room with a view, otherwise it would be the same as staying on the other site of town. Location is very good too. You can go out of the hotel straight to a bridge from were you can take the include railway to the Table Rock. It takes 15 minutes.

No parking on site. You can self park at their second location then walk back (2-3 mins) but the valet will not tell you that and there is no sign for that. The only 2 signs at the entrance are valet parking and premium parking prices. At check in they told us about the self parking option then we run back to the valet to get the keys before they take the car away.

Fantastic rooms, views, etc

39 dollars to park 500m down the road in an unmanned car park is extortionate. Also, be aware, they charge you an optional tourist tax. They are less than willing to reimburse you if you have already paid your bill.

The view was amazing!

The cost! On top of the room cost you have to $40+ per day to park. The restaurant prices were astronomical. They never serviced the room the 3 nights we were there. I had to ask a housekeeper for wash clothes as our room had none.

The prices of everything, everywhere. $18.25 for a pack of cigarettes was outrageous. The charge for exchanging money for money. $6.00 for an icecream on a stick?? Sticker Shock 😲!

Amazing view Nicely appointed room

Room could use a microwave for the high price of the Superior Falls View Room. Food at the Marriott ie Mortons, was rather subpar for the prices charged. Shower water pressure was low. Daily Housekeeping was requested but never came once during our stay. Parking prices are ridiculous considering it's a public lot blocks away.

I was on the 14th floor. I would've preferred a higher floor, but it was adequate. The view was great. Housekeeping was attentive and friendly. I felt safe. Having a Starbucks in the lobby was a nice feature. I never made it to the spa, however the amenities looked amazing. I just felt the extra cost for those services was too over-priced. The gym was adequate, although the equipment was very basic and not upgraded.

For the price of the rooms, I would've liked to have had more snacks/drinks included in the accompanying fridge, instead of just coffee, tea and water. A robe would've been nice to have available too. A mint on my pillow during housekeeping services would've added a more luxurious feel. My room stay for 7 nights was not cheap! Although the check-in staff was helpful with answering questions about surrounding sights and transportation, having a dedicated concierge would've been preferable.
