Ace Hotel Toronto

This is a beautiful property. It was such a treat to stay in a purpose-built hotel, instead of a renovated space. It made all the details come together. The room we had, a corner with 2 double beds, was perfect for a girl's weekend. We loved the soft sheets, the super comfortable beds, the different ambient lights, the oversized windows with the blackout blinds, and the record player. Thanks for the chill tunes. The space was super quiet. We felt as though no one was on our floor. The bathrooms were ultra clean. The airconditioning worked perfectly, and kept us cool on a 30+ day. The staff seemed genuinely relaxed and happy. The lounge staff were attentive and kind. The lounge was wonderful to sit in and share a table with people from other parts of Canada in such a beautiful space. The rooftop was bumping on the weekend and was a perfect way to start a night out in Toronto.

The bathtubs are super high (and I am tall). The lovely products they used in their showers make the tub a bit slippery, so it was a little risky climbing out. I can see it would be challenging for less tall and less mobile people. I felt like a tiny handrail or handhold somewhere discreet would be welcome.

I could not have had a better stay. The large King room was beautiful, mini-bar well stocked - and the bathtub! The bathtub. The biggest reason to stay at the Ace is the people. Jenevieve in the Lobby Lounge was incredible. She was present, warm, genuine, and attentive; her work, and team behind the bar, made it a truly welcoming place. I'll be coming back. Also to note: the food in the Lounge was delicious, from the Sam James coffee in the morning to the cacio e pepe cavatelli on the all-day menu. They also use cheese that isn't necessarily cow-dairy based, which made it possible for me to enjoy it, and not feel left out. (It's a small thing, but goes a long way.)

I really liked how private the room felt. I could not hear anyone or anything; especially as lively as the lobby was at night. Robes and the safe, although standard, always a great touch. Big thumbs up for the makeup towel.

So these details are not necessarily things I didn’t like, just little observations. The water in the shower was never really hot, just warm and as cold as it was outside at night, I was really looking forward to a hot shower. The other detail was I arrived around 11:30pm, so while the lobby was very lively the kitchen was closed. It was too late to go out and find food so I was lucky that the room has a mini bar and snacks. I was super excited to see they had a ramen bowl BUT no chop sticks or utensils in sight. I made it work because I was hungry but it would be awesome to just have a fork/spoon in the room if there are snacks that require them.

Love the retro vibe, the double room was quite spacious, everything was clean. nice decor and even had a vinyl record player (although maybe there should be instructions on how to use it). location is near streetcar stops and near great restaurants. the staff was so helpful and nice to accommodate my group to check in one day earlier.

i could hear the music from the event that was going on that night. it would be great too if there were more than one mirror in the room especially the double room. no complimentary coffee or tea in the rooms.

new, mid century modern. good location. rooftop bar was a nice cozy environment. rooms are minimal and equipped with mini bar, robes and ability to write mail.

restaurant in the Lobby can be busy as it is accessible to the public. it makes it challenging to find a seat to relax. service at breakfast we friendly but slow and took some time for food to come out. prices for food is on higher end.

Really fine design, courteous and professional staff, great rooftop bar, and we loved the window seat.

The room was a bit under-lit, there were too few hooks in the bathroom, but the only significant complaint was that we could hear chairs and tables and bass beats through our ceiling from the rooftop bar that disturbed our sleep.

Funky hotel! Loved all the wood. Staff super chilled and an amazing location. Great to see a minibar supporting quite artisanal brands as well

Only thing I would say is there needs to be a mirror in the room rather than just the shower. Also, great that there’s a separate toilet to shower but you need to go to the shower room to wash your hands so better if there was a small sink in there

Beautiful location. Very unique and cozy vibe. The staff were super nice and the ambience with the alder restaurant downstairs was a plus.

We booked the largest king bed room but found the space to be less than expected. We were also placed on the third floor with not a very good view.

Everything was great! It was so clean and honestly I had the best sleep! It was so nice and relaxing walking into the room and the radio on with jazz music. The mini bar in the room was also a great feature with many options for food and wine.

Up and coming location.. nice park and future food hall right across the street… hip bar scene and new rooftop bar. Second time there. Really like this place.

I’m hoping that parking lot tgat services the hotel will get paved… it’s currently gravel… wheel is suitcases don’t fair well.
