Chateau Des Tourelles

Beautiful boutique hotel on the Main Street of the old town. Quiet location. Perfect distance from the action (about 10 minutes walk to heart of old town). Follow their instructions and you'll have excellent communication and remote check-in. The common area and kitchen is great for travellers. Rooftop patio has unbeatable views and is great for breakfast and evening drinks.

Flashing street light right next to some windows. Blinds don't completely obstruct that. Might affect some very light sleepers. Pay parking 3 minutes drive away in tiny old private building. Will not fit vehicles larger than a sedan. Car stuck in parking the next morning for a couple hours due to a power outage. Something to keep in mind.

No view from our room, but the roof terrace was available and had a great view. There was a refrigerator we could use in the common room. There is no in-person reception but response via text is prompt. We could grab extra towels or coffee. Altogether a lovely stay.

Comforters in every hotel we stayed in were too much. The coffee machine was a little flaky, didn't always catch the pod. We didn't need a bus pass except to get too and from the train station, or to go to Montmorcey Falls.

The room space was large and fantastic. Lots of places for luggage etc. very clean and well updated. The community room was terrific.

Room 7 had no Wi-Fi. We had to go Outside the room for it to work. The tv needed us to reset the cable box each time in order to get it to work. Although a bit charming the room was on a tilt. Lastly we had to walk up two large flights of stairs which was not easy to do with our luggage and the garage is a bit of a walk away.

It was the second time we stayed at Chateau Des Tourelles. Like our first time we enjoyed the great, location, the clean studio and the good value for money

Our studio was in the basement and that unfortunately gives a different feeling and then a room with some actual sunlight. Also the kitchen equipment was quite old.

Lovely rooms, including shared space with good facilities. Great views. Good location. Comfortable beds. Nice old building with lots of character. Would stay there again.

Corridors were very hot. Signs about shoe boxes but no boxes? Not easy to get an answer on the phone. Not enough signs to say where things were eg kitchen. Okay for us but very steep uneven stairs.

It is super clean and the downtown is in walking distance! The view from my room is amazing as well!

The building is pretty old so the noise proof is not very good. I can hear the noise of the next room clearly. There is no elevator so it is not easy to carry luggages up and down stairs. I think the kitchen should be equipped with electric kettle for boiling water!

The parking garage was EXTREMELY sketchy - the lights did not work, meaning we needed to exit with two young children in almost complete darkness. The exit was partially blocked by tall garbage bins with sharp corners, two cars occupied much of the space, so it was very difficult to park.

It was our first time in Quebec City and the Chateau Des Tourelles was in the perfect location for us. We had excellent service and the accommodation was very clean. We would recommend this charming Chateau Des Tourelles to all and we hope to return one day. We loved having the delicious breakfast brought right to our door!

The only thing I would of like is a small little elevator. We had heavy luggage to lug to the second floor. That was the only thing I would change.

We liked that we could gain entry early to the hotel to store our luggage so we could tour around Quebec City until checkin time. We never saw any staff except cleaning staff but any questions we had sent by text were quickly answered.

Not being greeting by hotel reception but I understand the new way of doing business and we managed fine.
