The place is clean and tidy. The room is spacious. It is at a good location. All necessary in-room items are there.

The instructions to get entry into the hotel was a little unclear. We also had problems opening the door of the room. Two years ago, when we stayed there, a gentleman was at reception. Although he was not there full time, we still saw him at a certain time in the day and we could get help for whatever issues we had. There was a personal touch. Now, it is a 100 percent self-serve facility. No staff is put there. It is my personal preference to see someone at reception, even if it is part time.

The help desk on PHONE was very accommodating to the request. We had an issue, and the front desk person promptly shifted us to a new room, which felt like an upgrade of room. The hotel is 11 minutes walk to the old town and also close to a bus stop wherein you can take Bus 800. A small pantry with oven, fridge, and microwave exist which was handy to warm take-away food.

The hotel is autonomous without any staff. The promoted 24-hour front desk support is ambiguous and should reflect that the support is via a phone call. It was not very obvious while booking the hotel (i.e., atleast to me). Do come prepare to have a working phone connection to make a call as we had to make couple of them as the passcode for our door did not work. Second, please be prepared to check in only after 4 pm. Not even a single minute before can you enter your room.

Excellent location, beautiful building, just near Abraham's Plains. Walking distance from Old Quebec, and lots of restaurants and cafés on the way. Great breakfast possibilities in nearby cafes, too.

It was strange how there was no personnel on site. All discussions needed to happen in email or via phone. When we had to extend our stay with one extra night. Unfortunately, we did not get the room that we had agreed on, and instead of a couch (for our 15 year-old son), we only had a mattress placed on the floor near the queen size bed, for the same price.

Good location just 15 mins walk from old town and Abraham Plains parkland and river just at the end of the street. Room spacious and bright with ensuite (bath plus shower). Manager met me upon check in and advised me of best places to visit, where to find good restaurants, bars and shopping areas. Very helpful.

No coffee or milk although coffee maker in room for use. Although teabags provided but really needed kettle to boil water as coffee maker pot not efficient. No housekeeping and reception not manned on the two days of my stay.. Any issues had to be called through to outside number.

Reception staff Mike was exceptionally helpful and pleasant, and the room rates were good for the location. Nice, quiet rooms in a place with character.

The King Suites are in the basement and so a bit dark! This should have been explicitly noted in description. I would not have chosen a king suite knowing this. I am tall and had to be careful not to hit my head. I subsequently moved to a double queen room which was much better. Also, since we were a late arrival, we needed a code to access our key. It was supposed to be sent 24 hours ahead but wasn't. On the morning we were leaving to go to Quebec City I phoned property, but no one answered and the outgoing message was only in French! Stressful. Finally someone answered phone in afternoon.

Spacious main floor room had lots of light and old world charm. Fabolous location for those who are walkers as you are on the plains of Abraham. Quiet area at night but near many good shops, restaurants and pubs. Very helpful person at front desk (when he was there, which wasn't often) Great street appeal. We had a bar fridge and coffeemaker in our room. This is much more like an air b&b than an inn or hotel - which was fine for us.

Communal downstairs kitchen area is open to all (we had a food item used/taken) and with the noise from users I wouldn't want a room down there. No cleaning service in rooms during our 3 nights.

Absolutely a great experience. the hotel manoir de la tour felt like a cute B&B, the receptionist is easily the best thing about the experience. He follows up frequently to ensure i had everything i needed. Unfortunately im very low-key and easy so i didn't need anything, but I noticed and appreciated the effort he put in to make sure all my needs were met. The room was clean, and obviously sanitized( a hint of cleaning products when i first came in which i found reassuring). i HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

At times, the internet was a little spotty, when i would be getting work done on my laptop in my room. But i would say 85% of the time the wifi worked well. This is the most minor of detail that changed absolutely nothing regarding my experience.

The location was excellent and within walking distance of the Old City. The manager was superb and extremely efficient and attentive to any questions that we had. Parking was available for a charge. The room was of a good size and was clean, the bed was very comfortable. There was a sitting area outside of our room in the basement and a small kitchen available for guest use.

The only negative comment would be that, as we were in the basement, we experienced noise from above us when bathrooms were used. We guess that the water pipes run down the side of the room.

The room was comfortably large, quiet, and located conveniently on the first floor. Parking was great - right by the door. Michel at the front desk was excellent, giving great ideas for places to see and go. Very helpful!

No decaf coffee available. :-( Paying $15 to park onsite seemed a bit steep. The shower handle fell off when I tried to turn on the water. I fixed it with an allen key from the took kit I carry in the car. The bedside cabinet light on the RH side (when standing at the foot of the bed), didn't work.

The hotel location is perfect, only 15 min walk to the town centre, with valet parking on premises (15$/day), a couple minutes walk to Plains of Abraham. The rooms are all quaint and extremely well kept and feel like you're staying in a historic house. Our room was on the third floor and it was great, air con, TV, minifridge, nice lights comfy bed, plenty of pillows, towels and blankets, plenty of chairs and useful furniture. The bathroom had a bubble bath and all amenities. More towels and other toiletries were freely available outside of the room. The basement sported a fully functional laundry area and fully equipped very clean kitchen. Special mention for Michel, very welcoming, friendly and ensuring that everything was spot on. We were travelling across Ontario and Québec, and we definitely prefer the Hotel Manoir de la Tour above any others.

There's no elevator in the hotel (historic reasons I think) and we couldn't work out how to work the bubble bath. Really minor things though.
