Alt Hotel Saskatoon

Sarah, at the front desk asked how my day was. I told her I had booked to attend the funeral of a best friend. She offered sympathies. I apologized for dropping such heavy news on a casual question. I told her I was ok and in an effort to appreciate the friends I still have, I was going out for a couple of beers with buddies. She was kind, Had a couple chuckles and I left. I returned from beers to find a bag full of items from their concession stand, gift cards, and a note that read, “dear James, we are sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I have put together a small bag of treats for you. Enjoy, your evening beers with buddies, with sympathy, Sarah”

Nothing.

I liked everything! The rooms are small but contain everything you need. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was modern and very efficient and the staff were very helpful. The location was perfect! It was within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, theaters...there's even an art gallery right across the street, and of course, being beside the river offers a great view and a wonderful place to walk along the paved pavillion. This is a fairly new build so it is very clean and quiet. Overall, the hotel was exceptional.

No breakfast. The restaurant/bar is not open for breakfast. If you want something, there are a few sandwiches at the concession near the front reception area, but it consists mostly of snack foods like sodas, chips and chocolate bars. This added an unseen cost to my stay as I went to "oeb" for breakfast every morning. It was the one place open for breakfast near the hotel. Most of the other restaurants don't open until 11 am.

New hotel - great location next to river walks, art gallery , and all of downtown. very clean and nicely designed. The best part was the bed and pillows- which were very comfortable - slept like a baby. The shower was also really nice and the little desk area came in handy. Nice room - Would definitely stay again.

The rooms was on the small side if you had lots of luggage for example - but for me it was fine. Often there was a decent wait for the elevator - one was often out of service. There isn't a breakfast option - but that was ok for me this time.

I really loved my stay at The Alt. The location is fabulous & if you don't mind the fact that it's a crap-shoot on whether or not you'll get accosted by transients, the walk along the river is really nice. There is a nice restaurant, Hearth Restaurant, right across in the street in the Persephone Theatre building that you should check out. The building also has a nice gift shop. Oeb Breakfast restaurant is next door as well, & they have a lovely selection. When I got back to The Alt after a long day, I sat up at the hotel bar & had a beer & the staff was really lovely....good atmosphere there! Honestly, while not perfect, the Alt will be my preferred place to stay in Saskatoon!

Security could of been a bit tighter as there were some dodgy derelicts in the pub that were cause for concern.

The hotel is beautifully designed, well located. The beds are soooo comfortable! The room was spotless, the view was fantastic and I appreciated the on-site parking. The room was really, really quiet.

I would have liked a breakfast option. Also, a way to make tea in the room. A shelf in the shower for my toiletries would be nice. Bathroom lighting is a bit dim.

This is a simply magic hotel. The rooms are quite small but brilliantly designed to give a feeling of spaciousness. Our room was on the top (15th) floor with a view of the river. It was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was modern, clean and functional. We were greeted at reception by a polite friendly young lady and checked in efficiently. The carpark was below the hotel with easy access and spacious parking bays. The hotel location is perfect, right on the river adjacent to the Remai.

The room is really nice and comfortable. The service is also quite fast! I super recommend this hotel if you are wanting for a relaxing vacation/stay.

The parking is limited. If you come later than 6pm, bet it will be difficult to find a parking for your car even if you are surrounded with many public parking. Some have limited time limit and some are outdoor parking. The parking underground is quite small so only few can park! I recommend checking in early to find or secure a parking underground!

This was my second stay at the Alt hotel and I will book again with them in the near future. We are always impressed with the friendly & courteous staff. The hotel itself is very clean & comfortable. It's location is centralized for various activities. Parking is safe and secure.

No concerns with this hotel. We have always been satisfied so there is nothing too dislike.

I loved the air quality in the room, the view towards Broadway bridge was amazing. The room service was off the hook and the staff who delivered were more than awesome.

Parking. & sadly myself and my partner knew there was no pool, but we still had it in ourselves to believe there was a pool for our daughter. She loves swimming.

Phenomenal hotel with easy parking in the building; rooms were very cool, new and efficient, great location right on the river and down the street from all of the good spots in town, highly recommend this place and this hotel line in general.

No complaints, the AC took a little while to get going, but I figured it out well enough.
