Royal Airport Hotel

Really liked that is close to the airport, we took an Uber and got there pretty quick. Loved the breakfast and the restaurant food was delicious and very well served, we ordered food for 2 but could easily have shared it with 2 more people. Room was comfortable, clean and very quiet even considering that it is super close to the airport.

Could not walk to the hotel from airport which I already expected. However, when hotel is close like this to the airport I usually expect to have a free shuttle which wasn´t the case. This didn´t have an impact however since Uber is very good and cheap in Croatia and we used that. Another thing is that due to airport schedules sometimes hotels close to the airport have very early breakfast and food options outside regular hours which I don´t think was the case but didn´t affect us. The view of the room is of the parking lot of the hotel, not great. I also expected to have a better place for remote work within the lobby but we stayed at the Coffee Bar and it was fine enough. Not so quiet though and not with so many power outlets available but it worked for us.

So convenient to the airport, super staff, very comfortable, delicious breakfast, easy Uber access to the city.

I didn't figure out how to lower the window shade until morning. Super cool tech, but a list of which button does what would have been helpful.

The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was exceptional, spoke great English and took care of every request I made, including booking a taxi for the city center. The location is the best you can get if you have an early flight, the airport is 30min by foot and less than 5min by car. The breakfast is the usual continental buffet with adequate choices, like most European hotels. The restaurant operates from 10am to 10pm and is a life saver since there aren't a lot of choices for eating in the vicinity. Great choice if you have to be close to the airport!

I don't really have any complaints, just two minor suggestions: 1. No toothpaste or body wash in the bathroom (only shampoo). 2. A couple of bottles of water in the fridge would be deeply appreciated.

The hotel is not in the city of Zagreb (thus aptly named "airport hotel"), but it pretty much is the closest hotel to Zagreb airport (approx. a 5 minute taxi/shuttle drive) and therefore really convenient pre- or post-flight. I stayed there the night before with my parents because I had to be at the airport before 6 a.m. The convenience of getting up at 5:30 and being at the airport 30 minutes later is priceless. The hotel is modern, VERY clean. The reception staff was extremely friendly and arranged for a taxi (€15) to the airport because I had to leave before the hotel's shuttle started operating. The onsite restaurant was cheap, but comfortable, with large portions, friendly staff, and good food. Did not have breakfast though so cannot comment on that. All in, it ticked all the boxes for a conveniently located, comfortable, and clean airport hotel.

There are no facilities per se (such as gym, pool, spa, etc.), but regarding the nature of the hotel most guests do not require that. We did not miss it either.

I arranged a taxi from the airport through the hotel. My flight was delayed, and I arrived at the hotel quite late (10 PM). I asked if the restaurant is still open and the lady at the reception said that the kitchen is already closed but she will check if they can make me something to eat so I won't be hungry. I ordered a ceaser salad and the lady told me that she will call my room when it is ready. First of all, the salad was delicious. Second, this gesture was a so nice and pleasant. I really appreciated it.

The hotel has exactly what you need - nothing more or less. It's quite close to Airport and also has a nearby a bus stop. The self check-in ( as we reached after midnight) was seamless. Room has everything that you need for a short stay. Breakfast was quite ok.

Not having a staff at reception 24X7 was a small inconvenience. We were looking for one extra pillow ( as the room had 2 and we were 3 including the kid) - but it was not possible to get one without a staff around.

Fantastic hotel. The hotel looked like it had been refurbished as everything was in excellent condition. The room i stayed in (104) was absolutely amazing. The bed was very comfy, there was plenty of space to be able to sit and relax. The bathroom was very smartly tiled, the bath/shower was really big and deep too what you don't normally get so being over 6 foot i took the opportunity to have a bath due to the size. The restaurant served beautiful food and was very cheap too but had very big portion sizes. Very close to the airport. It took me around 6 minutes to walk to the old terminal where you can have a look at inbound/outbound flights and then i also had a walk to the main terminal what took me around 25 minutes at a good pace. I was leaving at 05:50 am so opted for a taxi, the hotel booked this for me, and the driver was waiting in reception. Quick 5 minutes in the car and you are there. Definitely recommend and definitely would return.

We were going to check out early to catch a flight, so we would miss breakfast. The front desk staff gave us both fruit and yogurt for the morning. It was a kind gesture.

The only thing I could think of was that while eating dinner in the restaurant, a phone kept ringing and ringing. I don't know if it was a guest in the area or if it was the hotel phone. So it may not have been something the hotel could control. It was very disruptive.

Due to problems at Schiphol our flight time was changed until afer 12.00 midnight when their reception closed. We contacted the hotel when we became aware of this a few days beforehand and clear information on how to access the hotel and our room was provided. The room was to a higher spec than we have experienced with some other airport hotels especially at that price.

The location of the hotel is not ideal, being three km from the airport terminal so we had to take a taxi. That said, there was no extra charge because of the time of night. We hadn't appreciated that if we had given advance notice we could have used a hotel a shuttle to the airport the next morning to collect our hire car. On the plus side both taxis said the fare was fixed and both charged the same. While further from the airport than ideal, it is far too far from Zagreb city centre to use as a base to explore Zagreb.

The location near the airport was very convenient and the staff at the front desk were very helpful in arranging a taxi for our early morning flight. The room was comfortable and I especially liked the oversized shower.

Restaurant/bar appeared to be understaffed. We got a round of drinks and mentioned we were planning to order food later. We never got the opportunity to do so, since we never saw the waiter again.
