Canopy by Hilton Zagreb City Centre

I used to stay here regularly when it was the Arcotel Allegra. It's been refurbished nicely with a lobby that is conducive for both working and enjoying a drink. The rooms at the back are quiet.

When booking I requested a quiet room high up at the back of the hotel, but on arrival was allocated a room on the first floor at the front, which would have been difficult to sleep in because of trams and trains and guests drinking (the soundproofing was good, but not good enough for me as a light sleeper). The receptionist managed to find a twin room high up at the back of the hotel for me, which was perfect. It seems that the King rooms are at the front and the standard rooms are at the back (which seems the wrong way around). Must remember not to book a King room next time.

All staff were very helpful and very friendly. Comfortable and stylish decor. Good choice of breakfast, loved the omelette. Large spacious room. Good vibe all round.Location handy for train and bus station and say 10 minutes from old town which is gorgeous

In error I booked room rate excluding breakfast which was 15 euros per person if you select room rate which includes it. However this goukd jit be changed and we had to pay 20 euros per person each day. I was a little disappointed thus voukd nit be altered fir the second day of our stay. . You also cannot use the stairs to move between floors and reception. You can only use the lift. We got stuck. It would be useful to explain this when checking in. There are signs but not sufficiently clear. I've never come across a hotel where you can't walk from floor 1 to reception and need to wait gor the lift

Hotel is cozy, friendly and worth to stay. Nice bar. Really attention to the detail. Water fillers into the hotel - an american touch. Cost is OK for Zagreb too. Next to the tram station - so Its easy, convinient and cheap way to move around in the town. maybe during pandemic trams are not a best way eaither. I prefer to walk a lot, so for me isnt a really big deal, but after a couple of days I prefer to be at more close to historical center hotel. But as verdict - Canopy by Hilton is a recomendation for a stay.

Location isnt so great - no perfect view from any of the rooms, because its next to the central rail station. No balcony also. Not a lot of things/activities close to the hotel - so prepare for a walk or take a tram. Breakfast for 20euro per person is not a big deal either

This hotel is perfect in aspect of arrangements, decoration facilities and cleanness. The bed was amazing, the shower was excellent and the stuff were of great assistance and service. They were polite, willing to provide the best out of it and we thank them in public. The reception staff, waiters, barmaids were outstanding. Don’t seek for anything else, stay at this hotel!

Hotel has a nice style/design, the cafe on ground floor is very cozy and its not the typical lounge of a hotel. Its suitable for both business or leisure. Location is good, walking distance to the city center.

Management of typical issues such as delay on arrival definitely needs improvement. I informed that the flight was delayed so I would be checking-in the next day than originally planned and altough they thanked me for the notice, upon check-in they informed me that they had cancelled the entire reservation due to no-show (charged it of course) and basically I was lucky that there was still some availability. And that's their policy.

Great room and thankful they took a dog and had a parking garage. Bed was lovely. Restaurant was good overall and we enjoyed our dinner one night very much. Staff were fantastic overall. We'd like the hotel and it was easy to get around Zagreb by tram or by walking.

Breakfast wasn't the best and the orange juice and coffee weren't really good. Some of the warm offerings didn't look appealing in how they were made or didn't taste well. Eggs were ok though. Fruit and cold breakfast choices were fine mostly. Maybe a rethink on some of the hot breakfast offerings and how they're made.

We had a very comfortable stay. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was clean and close enough to all the tourist attractions. About 20 minutes walk to all the main attractions such as St Marks Church and the main Square. The breakfast buffet was also amazing, with a good selection of pastries, cheese, cold meats, fruit, and hot meal options.

The only advice would be to have a water refill filter station on every floor as it's a little inconvenient to go to another floor just to refill your water bottle. Lifts also take a while. Coffee at breakfast could improve.

Looks nice, nice location, has friendly staff, not overly expensive for the dates and service received. Would probably lodge here again when compared to other 4* and 5* hotels in Zagreb in the same price range.

There was no hot water for a day (due to the heating plant not working or something - a problem for multiple neighborhoods). The hotel didn't let us know beforehand or offered any kind of discount - we had to ask and got free parking. Parts of the room ("wardrobe" shelves) weren't properly cleaned; we had to dust it so we can put our clothes there.

Modern- design hotel. Nice location near all the pretty city parks, bus, train station & 15 min walk to the center. Felt safe in that area as a solo traveler. I didn’t think the breakfast was that good but I’m a very picky eater and prefer to eat out or find a bakery ( there is a gluten free bakery a 10- min walk away) which was easy to do being pretty close to everything. The breakfast staff kindly brought me lemon slices for my hot water in the morning(s). Also when I was having a sorta funky travel day the receptionist whose name I forgot to get (!) gifted me some delicious Croatian chocolate out of the blue. The reception desk really is excellent, helpful, and kind. The beds are comfy and the shower is very nice as well. I also reallllyyy appreciated the 2 filtered water stations so I could refill my bottle several times.

The hotel has a modern and cozy decoration everywhere: the bar, restaurant, rooms. The room we stayed is very spacious, air conditioning worked, the bathroom was nicely renovated (but there was no hair dryer). We could listen people at the corridor, but not through the walls (but I dont actualy know if there were people next door), so overall the room is very quiet (we stayed far away from the elevators). The cocktails at the bar are very nice, they also offer good options of beer and the food was very tasty, we went there every night.

The breakfast buffet could be better. The space of the buffet in the restaurant is small, so the offer gets limited. There is no coffee machine, so they leave at the tables a bottle of filtered coffee (hot) and a small jar with milk (room temperature). If you want something like an expresso, capuccino or whatever, you have to call a waiter and ask.
