Beautiful hotel, right at the beach front and with a truly excellent restaurant and charming staff. The rooms are tidy, cute and decorated with taste, hot water was always available (contrary to many other hotels where we stayed)

The breakfast was a bit disappointing for the price - most items that are included elsewhere had to be paid for as a addition (eggs, fruit, cheese)

The Hotel Atlantis is 📍located along Punta Bonita, in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic. With a picturesque backdrop of golden sands and palm trees 🌴. The hotel features 18 rooms and independent bungalows, with curves instead of corners, and whitewashed walls, invaded by climbing plants, just paces from the sea 🌊. At the Atlantis, meals are served everywhere. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, sarongs, and sunscreen for long lunches in the shade of the thatched roof beach hut by the sea, or the stylish atmosphere of the terrace. The service was exceptional! The entrance is a little hard to find, especially at night after driving several hours from Santo Domingo. We drove past several times before deciding to call and get directions from the hostess. The hostess patiently provided us with directions and, upon arrival, was also the one that checked us in and showed us to our room. With a chilled bottle of Cava waiting! Moreover, it was late into the evening when we arrived, and of course, we hadn’t made a dinner reservation. The restaurant was fully booked, but instead of turning us away, they fit us in and just said there would be a wait for the food. We ordered and then took our drinks and strolled along the beach while we waited. There were also two instances in which I wanted to grab coffee and cocktails from the restaurant and take them back to our private terrace to enjoy. Without hesitation, or some BS hotel excuse of – “we have to bring it to you,” or “you can’t take our glassware out of here,” they provided me with exactly what I asked. They even let me borrow their server tray! The staff at the hotel makes it beyond easy to stay with them! And makes it a place I would be keen on visiting again.

This hotel has X factor. It's special. It's the most amazing property, with so many palm trees and sooo close to the water. The food was wonderful. It's so perfectly located at the end of a small strip of restaurants, etc. It's gorgeous and laid back. It's cozy.

The beds aren't extremely comfortable. At first I was upgraded to an amazing room for 2 nights because it was available, and they didn't charge the upgrade. The room I booked had an incredible view but it was small and only had a rocking chair to sit in other than the bed. My main concern though was that I am obsessed with quiet and although this property is very quiet, next to the hotel sits a restaurant that has music that I could hear quite easily (because my room happened to be situated right next to the restaurant.) They stop the music by 10 or 10:30, and it wasn't playing at all a few days when the weather wasn't perfect, but still this was really my only concern with the hotel.

This is a very quaint jewel of a hotel, each room is different and the architecture is whimsical. The location is perfect, with a lawn and chairs directly in front of the ocean, with the public trail to Punta Bonita passing through. You can access several swimming and surfing spots as well as all the nearby beachfront bars and restaurants without seeing any cars or roads. The food in the restaurant is AMAZING, French technique with beautiful Dominican ingredients, three of the best meals we had in DR. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Outstanding value.

lovely quiet spot right on the beach. There’s a great restaurant on site and many in walking distance along the beach near us. Restaurants along our beach were so good that we stopped driving into las Terrenas ( terrible traffic dodging crazy motor scooters). Mosquito was our favorite.

know that the beach is beautiful but lots of waves do not too swimmable. There’s a better beach for swimming kind of “around the corner” down the beach.

This is the third time that i choose this hotel for my stay.It is located in an excelent and quiet spot.The staf is always polite and helpful.The rooms big enough for our 4 members family.Breakfast good.

At our dinner for desert we ordered apple pie with ice cream.My daughter asked only ice cream but they didn't have!!!!!They have ice cream only for apple pie. The ice cream of the apple pie was an ordinary ice cream ball.I really can't understand it.

When I tasted the bread I say wait something is not like I expected.... It was marvellous... Later on I asked for a chicken and vegetables on the side...what did I got? 4 different types of vegetables... My goodness this is unreal I was expecting the regular and boring lettuce and tomato... Great place. Marvellous Mediterranean style construction. 2 stars?? well if you need a tv to put more stars you better stay at home.. Great place. CONGRATULATIONS 👏

Not very easy to get there but it's not an hotel issue it's a very bad planned city.... Everything is difficult to find there but there is maps and other stuff that are a must for beginners there.

Beautiful location and excellent service. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beach is a dream. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Internet worked excellent. The a la cart restaurant is a must and very good in price quality! We will be back!

Breakfast could be a little more since apart from bread juice coffee and jam, you have to pay additional.

This hotel is seriously so nice, everything was perfect. The room is spacios, with fresh flowers and everything you need and interesting architecture style. Location directly at the beach and the beach is very nice. The restaurant has yummy food with the staff being always friendly. The reception ladys are super sweet, chatty and even though they work very long hours always polite and obliging. I will come back for sure

I have no complaints at all the only tip I would give to the hotel is to maybe have the beach chairs renewed since they keep folding up when you try to lay on them but it was no big issue

Excellent atmosphere, cosy room, comfortable bed, close to playa Punta Bonita, welcoming staff. Exceptional esthetic experience for an acceptable price.

The only disappointment is that continental breakfast had no scrambled eggs or normal ham included, which are only available at add price-we took it without doubt of cause. However, I would have expected a bit more balanced basic breakfast (carbs vs. proteins) from such an adorable place since it's included.
