Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar - Adults Only All Inclusive

the property is massive! but there are always little carts you can jump on to take you around. we loved how you could use all the amenities for all the hotels on the resort property. Ambar was on the breach and it was beautiful, the pool is right next to the beach and a great snack restaurant to walk into for drinks and buffer food to bring to the pool or beach. it was great value for your money considering it’s all your meals, drinks, and entertainment included.

the only thing we didn’t like was that you have to reserve your dinners on the app. the app would t let us log until we checked at the resort. so almost all the nicer restaurants on the property were booked which was a huge bummer. also, the plumbing smells. we had to put a towel on the shower drain and the toilet closet door shut or the room would smell like dirty baby diapers. lastly, our giant rain fall shower head kept falling on us while we were showering.

All the staff were very friendly and made our stay great!!

The only problem we had was when we were eating at the Mexican Restaurant a bird was in the rafters walking around. The bird pooped all over my clothes, making the dinner not a pleasant one. Had to go change clothes and take a shower. No one seemed to be concerned about the matter or offered any compensation.....

the room was very good and the coffee shop as well as the buffet was excellent

the beach wasn’t as great as the pictures ( a lot of sharp rocks ) the a la cart restaurants were below average (specially the Greek and the Japanese and the Mediterranean )

- resort is very clean - room is big and modern (avoid rooms without pool at the ground, they gave us one in the first night, but we changed it) - beach is very nice - fresh food and drinks (beer and rum) were good

- staff was not proffesional, most of them were not speaking english, we were waiting a lot for almost everything - tips will help everything to be easier - exception from bad staff are Thomas and Adalgisa from lobby support, they were the only one who helped us recover our luggage from the airport, many thanks to them

Amazing place to go with your spouse/partner. The attention of the staff was perfect! Great place to stay, have fun and relax! Thanks to Maria, Stefanny, walter, adrian, roberto, Deivy for the perfect trip!

Some waitress seem new and the supervisors have to remind them of certain things. The pool closes at 18:00 when still there is daylight

Some restaurants served unexpectedly good food, paired with amazing cocktails. The resort looks amazing and modern, with very luxurious accommodation. Overall the resort definitely felt luxurious. The beach was absolutely beautiful and clean.

drinks at the bars were very inconsistent, and generally contained too much ice and sugar. the buffet was not very fresh, mostly due to the large quantities that were prepared and served at once. for some reason quite some of the staff didn’t feel very friendly or polite I also most likely caught a bacteria at the resort, which affected the rest of the trip and even continued once home

1. Very clean - everywhere! 2. Spacious rooms 3. Good food in general - with highest note for Thali Restaurant - food in not good, it is not very good, it is something special! Every single dish is awesome! 4. Coffee shop is great with very nice staff and good coffee 5. Very nice beach with plenty of sun beds - always very clean 6. Bahia Principe is taking care of seaweed in the best possible way - if someone is complaining I propose to visit neighbor hotel's beach to compare and appreciate Bahia's approach and efforts 7. Good wifi - almost everywhere 8. Staff is generally very nice, sure sometimes you will find some who is not really nice or interested to help you, but... we are only humans and everybody can have worse day 9. Fantastic gardens 10. Nice entertainment program on the pool 11. Quiet and calm on the beach 12. Good drinks - in all bars 13. Limbo restaurant - really good food (but Thali is outstanding) 14. You can always ask staff to transport you wherever you need in the resort - fast and easy 15. I can not understand people complaining for food in main buffer restaurant Palmyra - from my point of view the variety of dishes is very big and everyone should be able to find something for himself, food is good - I recommend especially the fresh made meats and fishes prepared by cooks for you - always nice and tasty

1. Restaurant by the pool and beach - low quality of food, small variety - rather avoid 2. Keep an eye on house-keeping to fill your mini bar every day 3. MEAT and Tequilla restaurants - not recommended for food (totally well done steak while ordering medium rare) - but go to MEAT for the best drinks in resort, but really do not eat there - especially avoid "spicy wings" - even desserts are less sweet 4. Don't forget to tip staff - it helps to motivate them :)

I liked everything!

The staff are unbelievably friendly. From the moment you check in, to the moment you leave you feel like they're incredibly happy to have you there! They even gave us a free bottle of prosecco and made the room all special for us, because we were celebrating our honeymoon! Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The special restaurants that you can go to for dinner are far too hot. This made the eating experience a bit unpleasant especially as you had to dress up for the restaurants. Sitting in a suit or dress in a hot restaurant isn't great. It made us want to finish our meal quickly and get back to the room rather than savour our meal and order more drinks or desert. Definitely would recommend in them adding more air conditioning to those restaurants.

We had an amazing holiday! The best all inclusive hotel, very friendly staff, very clean, so beautiful beach and pool area! Delicious food! Absolutely recommend!!!
